Here is how to put a BMW F30 or F80 in a hidden dyno / roller mode to keep the car from freaking out that the rear wheels are spinning while it is sitting still. if your car is changing gears when it shouldn't or having transmission malfunctions while on the dyno then this trick will likely fix the problem.

Hi, quick question. I had a power run on mine today and he said that he put it in dyno mode, my question is if my car had already had a map on it then I'd assume it would be in sport mode, would this be activated on dyno mode as the guy said you can't put it in sport when it's in dyno mode. When I bought the car I was told it supposedly had a map but no proof so I'm just concerned that if it's has a map it wasn't activated.
I really want to do the n52 or the n53 cam. I’m just not sure exactly what I have to give my mechanic other than the cam and valve cover gasket. I wanna shoot for n55 stock turbo record and I think this and the milvs will help a lot. I am honestly inspired by your build. I talk about it all the time lol especially with the cam 😂. I wanna experience this for myself. I’m from Hawaii and so far I’m the fastest n55 on maui and I’d like to keep it that way

May be a stupid question, can i still drive the car in this mode for a short period of time? Rwd only if im correct? Free alternative of x delete or is this a stupid question?
I'm afraid this will not work for doing a RWD burnout in an x drive, but you can always give it a shot haha

Yeah they are ruthless in there. Kind of killed my motivation to even share to be honest. I ended up selling the car. It made 550/580 maxed out it seems on E30 and a little meth. I am still willing to bet my car have better mid range than any other similar modded PS2 car you will find footage and results of online.
I do have a X3 M Competition now. The new S58 is incredible

No sir, this is not going to work as a "line lock" for the perfect burnout. That would be cool though 😁

I want to dyno my 335i xdrive .... the place near me only has one roller.... can it be done still?
Potentially with XHP trans flash. You can change it to RWD. I'm not sure how much that would affect power and honestly your reading wouldn't be accurate to the power you have in AWD mode. What all mods do you have and what tune?
@@BtwilliasGarage What did you mean by the car slipping on the dyno? What happens if you don't put it in dyno mode?
@@jacksoncorp124 the car will act weird and not run to full rpms. It will walk on the dyno as the fail safes kick in. You will know if it happens
@@BtwilliasGarage My car wouldn't go past 6000rpm and boost only went to 13.7 requested. Lol

What does this dyno mode actually do?
With the F30, if you don't have a reasonable amount of load, without dyno mode it will trip "Drivetrain Error" and won't let you run it properly. Not every time, but it will happen to all of us that dyno often. It is still possible not to use dyno mode though, you just may as well.
My tuner didn't dyno mode my m4...he said it shouldn't affect the results. 493whp/551wtq catless stage 2 flash tune. I wanted more hp!
It may have helped the M4 for sure. Ask him for one more run on a slow day for the knowledge
