As someone who loves dynamic music in videogames, I appreciate this video and it's coverage on such a great indie game a lot. Some great examples of games with vertical adaptive music are Rain World and A Short Hike.
Glad you put that at 7:30. As a Beat Saber mapper, I can't stand when I go to map a song, but need to cut it somewhere because it doesn't have a proper end or fades out, lol. (I also play a lot of Risk of Rain 2, and love how the adaptive music works in the Mithrix fight) Also just cool video in general. I don't make music atm, but it's something I could see myself getting into. I've got plenty of inspirations.
Lol thank you so much! I know many of the people who write VGM typically don't write it with a "listenable" version in mind, but I'm a fan of when they go the extra mile! Also yessss the Mithrix fight and just all of RoR2 has a phenomenal soundtrack, you got good taste! Thanks for watching the video, and I enjoyed your comment a lot :)
Great demonstration, I'm working on making adaptive music and I'm going to use that advice on rendering the "tail". At first I was trying to avoid using any reverb effects, but if I can bake the tail in then I can have all the reverb I want!
How do you manage to make it so it won't transition lets say at some random Second during the song, because every playthrough is different. I'm having this problem with my game, like when The boss changes phases, the 1st phase music could've been at any point of the 1st phase song when transitioning which sometimes makes it a tiny bit weird
yo tarro, T_rial9 here (name change) i'm trying to join the vgm lounge but it says "unable to accept invite". do you know anything abt that or just some weird bug? thx :)
I don't get why this channel isn't more popular. This is sick
Thank you so much :) Hopefully one day, but your supports means a lot!

Thank you! Trying to do what I can to help the VGM community :)
