People need to stop asking "Is it really this bad?" when watching Yahtzee because what he does best, as a critic that is, is point out flaws. I personally like The Cave a lot but all of his points are still undeniably true (especially playing it through more than twice, fuck that noise)
Actually while replaying the story for the ginger step child you could do two of the chars bad endings meaning you only need to play though 5 times

I love this guy's way with words and metaphors
You can get a good ending for one character and a bad one for another can't you? Then you can see all the endings in 5:
Game 1: Good 1, Good 2, Good 3
Game 2: Bad 1, Bad 2, Bad 3
Game 3: Good 4, Good 5, Good 6
Game 4: Bad 4, Bad 5, Good 7
Game 5: Bad 6, Bad 7, whatever
that is still 6

***** It's been so long since I posted those comments that I'm practically a different person now, I realise now that I sound like a twat now nut at the time I was massively arrogant so I was barely paying attention to the keys I was hitting.
Actually, it's only 5 times; Given characters ABCDEFG, capital=good ending, lowercase=bad ending, you could do abc, def, gAB, CDE, FG. Unless I'm missing something.
Maybe that's the joke, but the last one (FG) is only two.
He did that because the last person in the group doesn't matter so you can pick w/e one you want.

The analogy "A fish having the mystical ability to talk to camels" made me crack up.
I can't help but be reminded of Bum Reviews when Yahtzee mentioned 'a drunk man at a bus shelter explaining the plot of Iron Man 2'.
My interpretation of the game was that the characters were in some kind of dream or purgatory state where they had to keep repeating their stories until they've learned from their mistakes. The repetitiveness kind of plays into that.
Indeed, but to what degree is it worth it to the expense of gameplay? I suppose it comes down to individual tolerance.
I definitely enjoyed it, but I can see how it's pretty niche.

I do too but for some reason it is onscenely loud compared to the rest of the video. I find myself having to turn down or mute the volume every time I start/end one of his videos.
I used to only watch ZP but ive started watching a bunch of their other channels. my favs beeing Escape to the movies and Reel Physichs
To be fair a fish that could talk to camels could tell the camels where the fishing villages were so the camels could then go and carry the fish to market without someone driving them, so that might be useful. Jesus Yahtzee think these things through.
How was the fish every going to come in contact with the camel in the first place?
Why would a fish encourage the slaughter of its own people?
A fish that can talk to camels is impressive, but there aren't any camels that can talk to fish! What a useless power.

My only comment on this review is that the guitar riff in the ending credits seemed different. I like it.
Well you could subscribe to both topics specifically here on youtube. Or you could check escapist at 11 am Monday for Jimquisition or 11 am Wednesday for ZP.
I recommend Hammerfight for a good little one handed indie game that you would probably enjoy either playing or tearing apart.

I mean, I figured out to give the thing back on my first go through. So I only had to replay it 3 times. Which was still stupid because of the 7 character thing, as you noted.
There have been plenty of "Let's all unsubscribe" crusades. The biggest I remember was the "Everyone Unsubscribe from FRED day." That never panned out. It never does.
with Yahtzee's established love of adventure games one has to wonder if he ever played "I have no mouth and I must scream"? seems right up his alley, hellish horror and all that good stuff mixed with mind fuck puzzles and choices actually affecting the game.
He did make a pun in one of his reviews, "I have no mouth and I eat ice cream heh heh heh critic critic smarm smarm" so he's at the very least familiar with it.

I initially subscribed just for yahtzee, but I find the Jimquisition awesome, as well as reel physics. Check those out if you get a chance. The big picture is also good.

the ending crap reminded me of final fantasy adventure on gameboy. you are told to go talk to this guy, you get there, and he says "I know nothing", you have to keep asking him 4 times before he reveals he's the guy you are supposed to see. I guess history really does repeat itself.

Seriously, Yahtzee has got a REALLY good point here. Why on EARTH would giving up the "prize" of the cave at the end constitute the "good" ending over the "bad" one?
Your character still committed the black sin in question to get it. What, does the cave magically undo every evil thing the character ever did if they get "buyer's remorse" at the last second?
That is simultaniously the WORST multiple ending mechanic and moral in a video game I've ever seen. Double Fine, I am dissapoint!

it the closest i could get to it i never say iron man 2 in theaters but iron man 3 i did and the drunk expliained everything

I like to scroll through the Escapist's list of videos until I find one with a much higher amount of views than all the others. I then click the video with the higher amount of views and enjoy Yahtzee.
