I feel the arts and creativity are fundamental to education. So, I've decided to implement them into her daily schooling. Love this. Now are these terms/names/stages the same for all clay? And what clay did you use (if you did mention it pardon me then for my forgetfulness) in the video? I've been getting into clay and I've only worked with polymer clay so I'm eager to learn as much as I can about clay.
I'm using red earthenware in the video because it's easier to see the difference between the stages with darker clays. However, all the stages are the same regardless what type of clay you use!
Yes. It's just important to limit dried clay dust - always mop clay off the floor instead of sweeping, and wipe down tables and tools with damp sponges. If you're exceptionally worried, you could always wear a particulate mask or ventilator to keep from inhaling clay dust.
It would be very fragile if you use clay from the ground. If you got it wet, it would dissolve. You would want a clay that air dries or dries in your oven. You can buy that type of clay online or in a craft store.
@@stefaniivanova8465 you may be able to find a studio that will fire it for you in their kiln. Some studios also let you use their glazes and then they fire it again. Then you can use it and it would be water tight. They would charge you, of course, for those things.

@@jesciahopper Hi. Thank you for the quick response. There are a couple of ways. If it's my video then I just open the auto generated and edit them. To do that I click on the three dots at the bottom right (underneath the video next to the SAVE) There I click open transcript. If the person who made the video has open to contributions then I can go in and manually correct it. It's my understanding that that feature will be eliminated soon. The other way is by clicking on the three dots and clicking add translations. You can start from scratch, edit the auto captioning or add a .srt (this is a document that has all the closed captioning done for you and it is time stamped so when you add it - it automatically syncs the words with the video. I usually have a company create the .srt for me if the auto captioning is too exhausting to edit myself. Yikes, was that helpful?
