Only one comment about cleanup … never use a brush to gather dried clay bits. ALWAYS use a wet sponge and clean your studio floor with a wet mop. Brushing and sweeping stir up minute clay silica particles with will damage your lungs.
Today I've finally found the channel I've been looking for. I'm getting started with pottery and I didn't know where to start. Thank you for your videos. Super informative.

awesome video! i’m picking ceramics back up and it’s been a few years so this video was such a great refresher!! i would love to see one about glazing/painting! maybe i will scour your channel and see if you’ve made one yet! thanks again!!
Allow the clay water to settle and separate over a night or two, then gently pour the clear water out. You'll be left with the sludge at the bottom that you can dump directly into the bin. Hope this helps!
Kindly upload a video on what ingredients you put in ceramic base to make Hard Ceramic. And please elaborate about porous ceramic, Non- porous ceramic and Hard ceramic. As well as which ceramic mix is used for ceramic cookware.
Love this video except the emphasis on air pockets. Air pockets absolutely do not cause kiln explosions. Steam causes explosions. Fire slower to avoid.

Thank you for the education! What should we do with the leftover clay (that you threw in a bucket) that sinks down after we throw away the water?
Some potters prefer to recycle the sludge, but we prefer to toss it out in the garbage since it contains contaminants that could spoil the clay
