Again I say, Is there anything you can't do? 😄 I love this video!❤ I lived where my yard was mostly red clay. If I had known how to do pottery I would be very rich now!⚱I am looking forward to upcoming videos on your pottery journey!❤

Would love to learn pottery making from you. Especially the kiln stage. Any cheap kilns?

At 11:12 was that a butane bottle? What was it for? My son in law made some bowls and things from clay he dug in his yard then built a pit nd fired it. I was Amazed to say the least. The stuff he made turned out really cool looking. I live in North Central Arkansas and it's all clay here, red, white and grey. If I want to plant something I have to dig deep and wide and fill the hole with compost and 'regular' soil. I've always wanted to dig out some of the clay and make something.

Thanks! The clay was too soft and was at risk of falling. Briefly using the torch takes some of the moisture out and stiffens the clay.

I have found using a rib really helps scrap the rest out of the buckets when transferring for further drying 😊
Edit: I also like the covered trough method, for more even drying when getting it to consistency. Tony Soares has a great video on his method on a very large scale. I didn't want to invest in plaster so I used my concrete porch, and firewood for a makeshift frame.
