He could be! We all know you can dial and press the home button and the call is put in the background. Regardless, that's not a wise thing to do on camera.
japan has my favorite food of all the places I've been. the green tea+chocolate flavor combo alone wins it the top spot, not to mention the joy of eating/drinking cold soup on a 100 degree day.
This is the first video that brought me to sorted and I'm hooked and never looked back , I'm very grateful that the RUclips algorithm brought me to you guys keep up the good job
+SORTEDFood Don't worry Baz, you won't have to do live (or still twitching at least) octopus unless Ben decides to go to Korea. Ben, sannakji. Because their reactions would be hilarious.
I don't think that's gonna happen. He was there on holiday/vacation and not as a Sorted Food business trip. Any footage he has is his personal footage, so it may not have anything Sorted Food related in them, probably just Ben being Ben with food and possibly making personal references that us viewers wouldn't understand.
Oh. I have so many comments. First, I LOVE JAPANESE CULTURE, I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU GUYS ARE TRYING IT. Second, when cutting sashimi, you're supposed to cut it in one direction, in one swipe. None of that back and forth nonsense. Third, IM SO JEALOUS THAT YOU GOT TO GO TO JAPAN
I bought some of those same KitKats in Japan. If I remember correctly, you were supposed to toast them up a bit. Flavour doesn't change, except for the caramel crust that forms around it.
Ben, sakura mochi is wrapped in a pickled sakura leaf, not shiso leaf (which is perilla). It's also optional to eat the leaf because some people don't like the saltiness/texture. It gives the mochi a nice aroma and helps to keep the mochi from sticking to your hands too :]
Any recommendations for a meal that can feed up to 10 people and isn't too much of a hassle to make? Thought of something like the turkey meatball tray bake... Need some help! :D
Did you get to try the pancake flavoured Kit Kats as well? That was the Easter special flavour! There've been some gems like cheesecake, pumpkin pudding and crème brulee too. Those you could all pop into a grill for a minute or two, and enjoy slightly caramelised Kit Kats!
The proper greeting while answering the phone is, "Moshi moshi!" And I've never had sakura mochi with pickled sakura leaf (or shiso leaf). OMG I want to try that do badly!
it was about bloody time you guys featured something genuinely Japanese on here! that was awesome! =D *would* love it more if Ben would share his Japan experience even more though 8D
If I am not wrong, the sweet potato kitkat is a special kitkat. This particular kitkat is made to be toasted in the toaster before consuming. Can't toast for too long though if not the kitkat will catch fire! Prolly 1-2 mins.
I think the sweet potato Kit Kats were the kind you're supposed to bake in a toaster oven before eating. There are warnings on the outside label in yellow.
Why so many foreigners has wrong understanding about Tako(Octopus) in Japan? 5:06 Yours Tako was boiled actually. It cooked already by the fish shop before you bought it. Of course you can eat Tako in a raw in Japan but if you want so you have to go to the High class (and also expensive) traditional sushi bar.
Hey, y'all should try Japanese food (from restaurants and Asian markets) when you come back to LA (specifically Torrance). I'm American, so I'm not exactly sure how authentic it is but from what I can tell, it's the best thing we can get here in the States. I've eaten mochi as well as soba, curry, ramen and various seafoods. There are super cheap hole in the walls and there are fancy (very LA-styled) expensive ones, too. So yum!
EEEEE this episode was great!! ^_^ So much fun to see the two attempt to guess the answers, I was surprised James got the octopus answer. :D If you want to try some homemade Japanese sweets, why not try the raindrop cake? There's a few recipes on youtube that you can watch to get a feel for it. It's absolutely fascinating!
I live in Kyoto and I was walking around Kyoto Imperial Palace enjoying the Sakura season when I saw from a distance a guy who looks exactly like Ben with glasses and red shorts. I'm guessing it was you, Ben xD
there's that really famous mochi with fresh strawberry and red bean paste inside! i heard that the wobbly cheesecake is another of their must-try dessert :)
Ben PLEASE come visit Turkey at some point! I guarantee that you will love the food. (Won't be as interesting as Japan I'm sure but it's still quite tasty)
I must say because I am Japanese, we don`t really eat the shiso leaves around the sakura-motchi. They are just there for decoration pretty much. I mean, you can eat them but most people don`t.
Awww Ben 😂 you sound adorable. Awww mochi! They taste nice! Ohhh Sakura they have it in wine and almost everything to celebrate the Sakura festival. The one you ate is one of those. Curry buns!! I knew it 😂. Ohhh you should've tried the beef sandwiches!!
"I'd like to call a friend"
"Do you have a friend?"

+Histanici No shit
He could be! We all know you can dial and press the home button and the call is put in the background. Regardless, that's not a wise thing to do on camera.
nope, legit 2-3 years behind the competitors, if you watch "If Apple was 100% honest" they basically take a comedic point on Apples failures.
"Barry or Bazzle Tay Tay" 😂
that'd be right
japan has my favorite food of all the places I've been. the green tea+chocolate flavor combo alone wins it the top spot, not to mention the joy of eating/drinking cold soup on a 100 degree day.
Oh god Ben saying Konichiwa, I've had it on replay for a few minutes xD

+Lim Yiyan weebs
+Lim Yiyan cool video
btw I'm trying to reach 10000 subs subscribe to my channel
+Lim Yiyan Konichiwa؟ his was more of like Kunichiwa... I laughed it his pronunciation a lil' bit too much XD
こんにちわ
I think the leaf which wrap the mochi is pickled sakura leaf...not shiso leaf..
+Chérie Tanzil It is, indeed.
Oh...
They were supposed to answer the phone with "moshi moshi" instead of "Konichiwa"
+Hafiz Yassin Yeah! It kind of annoyed me.
haha true!
otaku are in anger hahahaaa!
Konnichiwa works as well
Ohh
You could see that he wasn't calling anyone with his lifeline 😂
Lol lets pretend that didn't happen 😅
It was on purpose
This fridgecam had everything... except James! Where is our favorite ginger Scottish man???
This is the first video that brought me to sorted and I'm hooked and never looked back , I'm very grateful that the RUclips algorithm brought me to you guys keep up the good job
I have been living in Japan for over 10 years and get to eat this and more whenever i want so as a British guy i am the winner.
+cocktailzombie Nice!
+SORTEDFood
Don't worry Baz, you won't have to do live (or still twitching at least) octopus unless Ben decides to go to Korea.
Ben, sannakji. Because their reactions would be hilarious.
the pronunciations... they hurt.... LOL
also, Ben did you try takoyaki? i feel like you would have loved it.
+Christina McHale yep... so tasty! instagram.com/p/BDN2eIBxjvc/?taken-by=bebbrell&hl=en
There pronunciation is painfully bad. 😓😓
Hmm... It's almost like Japanese isn't their first language 🙄
I was bringing too... :( they didn't even try to get it right
+Selene Wolf78 their*. Oh the irony
Okay but now ben has to teach us how to make a japanese curry bun or my life is over
Ben, please teach us how to make that curry bread thing!
Can we just a full japan vlog PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!?!?!?!
just about to comment that. tell the boys to get on it please!!
You're so serious lol it's not that big a deal if they decide not, we just liked the clips of ben eating food.
My heart sank when the sashimi grade octopus was about to fall on the floor 😭😭
That was no fridgecam at all because it had no James.
Ikr :(
+Rads ical That too.
They're real foodies, willing to try and not put off by appearances or preconceptions
☺️☺️☺️
3:04 still see the home screen xD
Can we get a list or a video about where Ben went to in Japan? And the food he'll recommend?
Sakuramochi is my favourite! It's not shiso leaf though, it's pickled cherry leaf! :)
Bazzle Tay Tay...now I need to see what the names Mike has on his contacts list for the other boys.
Such a good video. Would like to see the boys try some other foods from different countries. Keep up the good work.
Mike’s criticism at the end 🤣 🤣 🤣
I want to see a vlog about that trip, I really want to visit Japan one day, and I love seen other people's experiences there :)
I bought some of those same KitKats in Japan. If I remember correctly, you were supposed to toast them up a bit. Flavour doesn't change, except for the caramel crust that forms around it.
+elebirdz wouldn't that just melt the chocolate?
Is it just me or is fridge cam so much better now with James in!
There were 5 rounds, and they both managed to end in the negatives…
Well done??
Ben, sakura mochi is wrapped in a pickled sakura leaf, not shiso leaf (which is perilla). It's also optional to eat the leaf because some people don't like the saltiness/texture. It gives the mochi a nice aroma and helps to keep the mochi from sticking to your hands too :]
Do you eat sakuramochi with the leaf wrapping too? How does it taste?
Any recommendations for a meal that can feed up to 10 people and isn't too much of a hassle to make? Thought of something like the turkey meatball tray bake...
Need some help! :D

Did you get to try the pancake flavoured Kit Kats as well? That was the Easter special flavour! There've been some gems like cheesecake, pumpkin pudding and crème brulee too. Those you could all pop into a grill for a minute or two, and enjoy slightly caramelised Kit Kats!
This episode's ending's adorable!
The proper greeting while answering the phone is, "Moshi moshi!" And I've never had sakura mochi with pickled sakura leaf (or shiso leaf). OMG I want to try that do badly!
5:53 Is that the curry bun from Kuroshitsuji?
I was waiting for someone to comment that!
+Ewan Law I want to try it so bad. Just because Sebas-chan made them
Nina Cookie Same. Curry and dark chocolate in a deep fried bun... Oh my..
Mike listening to James Bay 😍
😊☺️
Curry pan was one of my favorite snacks when I was on the go in Tokyo with no time for a proper meal. Delicious!
I was laughing constantly throughout this video... But I think I properly lost it at Bazzle Tay Tay. XD
lmfaoooo mike, reading the fridge cam down at the end was the best part.
sakura mochi cakes are not wrapped with shiso herb, but salted sakura leaves I believe.
Barry ' nice disguise ' for pretending to phone mike even though we could see the home screen
You were in Japan, Ben!!! You are more then welcomed!:) Thanks for introducing our food to the world!!:)
it was about bloody time you guys featured something genuinely Japanese on here! that was awesome!
Prolly 1-2 mins.
guys, can you plz visit South Korea Next time?? Maybe during the summer break. It would be very lovely to meet you all in person
hahaha.. Ben's reaction is so childish and so darn cute at the end!! 😃
I think the sweet potato Kit Kats were the kind you're supposed to bake in a toaster oven before eating. There are warnings on the outside label in yellow.
Guys, I really enjoy your show and the funny things that you guys do but I would enjoy seeing you guys getting back to cooking things.
Ugh that red bean filling. I do not have fond memories of this, but man those KitKats I love them so much.
I got to try some kit kat flavors this week--one was wasabi, the other was purple sweet potato. Would love to try even more flavors!
Ben getting the pronunciation and "ichi, ni, san" wrong is absolutely the cutest
Those sweet potato KitKats are presently in my room from when my friend went to see her family in Japan !
I enjoyed seeing the foods from bens trip... But Sunday's=fridgecam+James makes happiness.. That's the way it works!
Thank you for introducing my home, Japan where I haven't been for many decades (I'm in the US). Japanese food is different, ha?
Oh gosh, I love kinako Mochi. I wish I had an Asian market near me that sold roasted sesame powder.
The leaf of sakura mochi is actually a sakura leaf!!🌸 Anyways, thanks for sharing your experience! Lots of love from Japan!
The Sweet Potato KitKat is supposed to be baked in the oven. Its recipe is different from the usual KitKat. Tried it before and it was so good ! :D
4:50 Ben says "One, two, number" bless him
Every time anyone said a Japanese word I flinched. Love you guys and A+ for trying 😀
I want to see more Ben's trip in Japan !!
Y does Ben has 2 be so adorble all the time??? >< my heart cant take this moe anymore ><
Curry pan, in a literal translation is curry bread :P
Otherwise, カレーパン (Karepan)

He counted wrong! He said ichi ni ban but it's actually ichi ni SAN!
One Two Number
This is the best kind of game - it doesn't matter if you're right or wrong - you get to learn something new, and try different stuff to eat!
4:35 Ben: "Ichi, ni, ban-"
Me: Ban.... ban?! It's SAN.....

I live in Kyoto and I was walking around Kyoto Imperial Palace enjoying the Sakura season when I saw from a distance a guy who looks exactly like Ben with glasses and red shorts. I'm guessing it was you, Ben xD
Love learning and trying new foods Very interesting
there's that really famous mochi with fresh strawberry and red bean paste inside! i heard that the wobbly cheesecake is another of their must-try dessert :)
Ben PLEASE come visit Turkey at some point! I guarantee that you will love the food. (Won't be as interesting as Japan I'm sure but it's still quite tasty)
I saw the sakura mochi and instantly clicked the vid! I love them! So hard to find good ones out of Japan...
the sakura mochi is actually wrapped in a pickled sakura leaf, not shisho (which is minty) :)
Wait was there a Japan vlog i missed or something? Because I would of liked to see the footage Ben had from his trip!
I must say because I am Japanese, we don`t really eat the shiso leaves around the sakura-motchi. They are just there for decoration pretty much. I mean, you can eat them but most people don`t.
I love currypan! I get it at the asian market and its super yummy. You guys should try red bean ice cream and sweet buns those are delicious.
Lol Ben showing off his knife skills
When I heard about "octopus sashimi" I think of Korean raw octopus dish and then when Ben bring out the dish, I was like "Oh..." =))
