Played genshin since kokomis first debut and i can proudly say i would have NEVER EVER EVER gone through a story they gave me the complete ability to skip.

@@nonamenolife2635 yeah my launcher wasn't working properly either. But I went back from Windows 11 to Windows 10 and the launcher fixed itself. Maybe you can try that if you have a PC, but of course everything gets deleted. That's the only way to fix the launcher as of now for me.

What Wuthering Waves does better than Genshin at launch:
- Better combat
- Better traversal mechanics
- Characters have more animations during dialogues rather than being stiff
- Boss fights are very skill-based
- Better endgame
- 240 resin/waveplates at launch
- 100% weapon banner guarantee
- Skip dialogue
- Mobs attack each other in the overworld, either humans vs mobs or mob vs mob
- 5-star selectors in less than a week. It's possible to get 3 5-stars in the game a few days after launch
Also:
- You don't need to switch to a greatsword/broadblade user to easily mine ore deposits
- Autoloot. Items dropped by opened chests or slain wildlife/enemies are automatically added to your inventory. You do not need to collect them from the ground.
- The Echo system. Adds another layer of combat customization and playstyle and much more interesting than artifact grinding.
And no paimon who acts more like a mc than mc with overtalkative irritating high pitch voice

@@rororororosie Currently in their "off season" the recent stream shows that they will definitely go back to the main stuff. But those can be done in one weekend or two, depending on how busy you are.
Off season events ones are definitely just a one weekend thing as long as you let the game release all the levels. The way they pad it by releasing one to two levels a day can be quite silly.

Seeing the hotfix updates after the main updates made me loyal to warframe even as a newer player just because i know from proof that they're immediately competent and actively looking out for bugs (granted there's still some stuff but that's better than radio silence)

Yea bro argued like my narcissistic brother and i could see every garbage tactic from a mile away. Nearly none of the dozens of points he hopped around to held ANY water, and when he eventually made a remotely reasonable one, surprise surprise, they actually agreed, right up until the chatter remembered he hated teccy and NEEDED to disagree with him
13:19 funniest thing about the chatter mentioning the 619k peak and asking him to compare it to Genshin's launch, is that peak was like a random day in 2022. August 22, 2 days before 3.0, out of nowhere. If you actually compare the launch days, Genshin has like 210k, WuWa has 146k. Considering how big Twitch and Gaming exploded during the pandemic, its not that surprising that Genshin outperformed. Although, not by much considering those same factors.
Also important to note the Minimum viewers on the launch day, Genshin had 36k, while WuWa has 56k. A good sign of a more active base viewership. Genshin had a large spike from larger streamers (who aren't in the gacha space) deciding to stream it, but more of those viewers didn't return to the category to watch other streamers. The chatter is just dumb af, the fact they didnt even check the launch day peak and just assumed that the 619k was launch day is a good sign they are are not doing even basic fact checking.
That and also them criticizing WuWa on having bad story in comparison to Genshin's launch. 1.0 story in Monstadt is mid af. I like venti, but the bulk of it is very simple. Once you get to the combat parts of the story its even worse. The part where you are flying in the air and shooting Dvalin is just boring, and then the final fight against him is janky (even today, over 3 years later) I do agree that overall WuWa's first parts of its launch story is bad from a lore and story side of things (while Genshin's was okay), but the gameplay and combat in the story quests is great (while Genshin's was bad).
Regardless of whether you play the game, you should be wanting it to be successful, competition is making miHoYo have to actually make the game better when it comes to gameplay and especially resin. Them increasing resin cap to 200 now of all times is no coincidence. They could and should have increased it before Fontaine and/or Sumeru but chose not to. One of the biggest reasons being that if you just played every 24 hours you would lose out on resin, since it only takes like ~21.33 hours to get the 160, you would lose out on ~20 resin. They want you to have as little resin as possible, but not so little you complain so much that it becomes the only thing the community talks about.
Anyways, this whole rant has gone completely off track, time to sleep. If anyone actually read or replies to this, I would be quite surprised.

the world building, lore, story is stupidly great in Gi, but the problem is the stupid direction.( The barely expressions, stupid dialogue stances, like how they stand and talk like robots, AND NO SKIP BUTTON!!. Am a lore guy but I can understand people don't want read and just play, just give a skip button it's easy.
I think the dialogue themselves are fine.
As for wuwa, just have to wait for lore/world building to expand ( it's only day3 now lol ) to judge.

Just finished the main quest, and the story gets much better after you fight scar for the first time, kuro also announced that they are hiring new VAs and new writers to improve the story and the delivery, they are also giving a free 5 star selector ticket (not banner) as compensation for everything. I will always have faith in this game because kuro is a company that actually listens to their players' feedback.

so, I watched this video and I can see a genshin stan when I see it, all of my friends played this game and alot of us are above union level 30 and we have all had a blast with it. Its very hard to not compare this game to genshin because it fixed so many issues that we were all accepting as a normal thing (within genshin) that now that we don't have to deal with it anymore (things like running out of stamina and falling to death, things like flying into a cutscene just to find out that you died because you dropped from midair) this game feels super refreshing
I also played this game for the combat, not the story. At this point I could care less if the story is super bad because thats all we have had for a while (minus HSR), so playing for combat is super cool, this is what people have been wanting for a long time, IMO. I hate it when I am doing parts of a story and these games go off on a tangent with so much dialogue that even SPAMMING through it will take hours just to get past it (having a skip button in this game is SUPER NICE). I also like the fact that responses for this game as far as bugs go get fixed right away. I experienced my own bug (which I later found out was widespread among players) while fighting the tactical hologram: mourning Aix where the game would target an enemy WAY off camera when it (Mourning Aix) would fly up off screen. That was fixed very quickly.
The devs can fix this game and make it super good, there might be a reason as of to why the story is doing what its doing, if anyone has seen one piece then they KNOW that it started out not so great too, but now its one of the most loved anime out there. Give this game time, let the devs do what they do and do not spread false hate. I do not want to be tagged or responded to here because I know there WILL be people who disagree with me, but thats 100% ok, everyone is entitled to their opinions, however, look at things from both angles when comparing games to each other, not a one of them is truly perfect and without some sort of bug SOMEWHERE.

I think I can safely say I know how Genshin works. It's boring AF, people who sticks to it for the story are basically kids or adults with an IQ of a kid. They get hyped up for a damn Animated short that HoYo promised 2 years ago.
It's a damn short, not a full episode and they get fired up. They are beyond salvation.
I played that garbage also and only could witstand Li ue and mondshtat, after that i literally felt ill and disgusted from how bad of game genshin was... THEY EVEN LIMITED FISHING AND THROW BAITS IN DIFFERENT REGIONS AAAAA.
after that i learn that inadzuma had power spike in difficulty and shit story, so i went to sumeru and instantly quit game after i seen how unreasonably large hills in that area... Also combat was so bad that i resined to use Archers with charge attack only. Now i have genshin ptsd from how bad it was....
Mean while wutering waters felt like hybrid of honkai star rail pgr and honkai impact wich are my favorite games and story is kinda interesting also

Literally star rail: removes requirement to do a sidequest that wasn't coherent in the main story. They can change anything they want to. Will they? Probably not, but they CAN.
Like legit the only good thing about genshin is its story and music, while the combat is so aaaass, boring and repetitive, just spam xingqiu, bennett, kazuha and your new DPS tada
While in WuWa even tho the story isnt chris nolan level of writing, the combat is so good its literally "skill issue" if you lose, dont forget the variety of attacks, air combos etc
@@quanlinglingdingle6122 No, another very important "good" thing about Genshin is lore, character design and setting. Genshin is THE anime isekai/fantasy game. That is insanely appealing to the anime fanbase and many gamers in general. Imo Wuwa suffers a bit from its lack of unique designs and the weird black/white color palette they use. It's certainly an art direction, but it feels like they were going for something similar to NieR and couldn't really nail it.
Before Genshin even came out my friends already gushed over Mona, Jean, Barbara etc, that were displayed on the website. I like Wuwa combat, but it doesn't really feel like it wants me to stay, similar to ToF. It's a bit weird because PGR and Girls Frontline nail this more "mature" look really well.
We also have to consider that the majority of Asian players doesn't really want challenging Dark Souls like combat, they play these games for 10 minutes on their phones on the way to work. The majority doesn't seem to care about combat at all and only ~10% of players even touch Abyss. Most of the players are in it for characters and exploration fun, and Genshin is still pretty good in that - all the nations have unique designs and cultures that have distinct personalities and clear vibes.
Imo Azur Promilia could be a bigger "threat". Made by the Azur Lane devs, looks really promising with its bright art direction and isekai fantasy style, gameplay seems to have some unique features for the genre as well.
Honkai impact devs rewrite story 3 times and comoensated with a ton of energy for all players...

I enjoy Genshin, I actively play Genshin. I also play HSR, and WuWa. I like them all and all have pros and cons. WuWas launch hasn't been the best but Kurogames is showing they're a competant, and dedicated dev team who want this game to succeed. They listen to YOU, but can give 0 dogwaters about their own employees; literally took advantage of freshmen graduates and ripped off their "freshmen" status while putting them on probation (meaning that they get underpaid for 6 months)-- only to get laid off when that probation period is over. Since their "freshmen" status is ripped off and are labelled as experienceless, most of these employees cannot find jobs. Great! Kuro literally ruined the lives of 100 workers.
Furthermore, employees are now underpaid and working overtime cause of Kuro's own management issues, but it's okay because they apparently "care" about you and are coaxing you with their sweet words? I don't recall Hoyoverse ever having such a poor work environment even during their lowest times.

Do some people think that because the story is bad in 1.0 it means that it will be bad forever? Kuro has managed to save their story before. PGR was pretty boring at first, then the first patch came with the narwhal story and it was amazing. After that from chapter 9 and onwards the games story got so much better patch after patch. With the amount of feedback given and Kuro being good at listening I have no doubt in my mind that they will create a compelling story eventually.
Imo, the story does actively get better the further along you get through it. The final boss fight was pretty fun and I'm hyped to see the next section of it while I'm practicing the amazing combat in-between.

I like how very little of of hoyo's launch issues weren't mentioned like when venti could just ult all your artifacts off the map and waste peoples time and expeditions made your characters unavailable lol or no weapon pity (you know what i mean by this) and it costed resin for an event (back when you had 120 as cap lmao) this is just a few. genshin is also a story and exploration game and that only gets story 18 weeks every year and its still fine.
The resin for events nearly killed me if that had not gone I would have stopped playing awhile ago.
The venti and Jean artifact trolls were wild. Devs took months to fix that for absolutely no reason. It shouldve been priority given that artifacts are the core of a gatcha.

People talking about Kuro releasing a poor quality game that needs hotfixes as if *every* major release that has online play doesn't see issues they have to deal with over launch week. There is only so much a dev team can do to prepare for launch and then they have to fix things on the fly. It's literally nothing new.
We've a fresh example of that with Helldivers 2, the devs weren't expecting the popularity the game would have, and in one or two weeks they fixed it

What I will say is that the combat feels incredible in wuwa, but it doesn’t have the same magic touch as genshin. The first time playing genshin will forever be nostalgic: fighting the dragon in the air, getting our gliding manual from amber, and trying to survive dragonspine’s frost. The characters were so alive! The environment, especially mondstadt, felt so homey and welcoming too. And it doesn’t help wuwa that it’s incredibly laggy in the open world. I’ve already long quit genshin, but I will always hold it near and dear to my heart.
Short reminder, a while back I hit u up about genshin literally taking 4-5 months to fix my IP not being able to update the game or download the game at all and once they did, there was no compensation for the amount of time I lost

The story is pretty dry. There's nothing offensively bad about it, like being narrated by a certain fairy, but it's definitely like eating a piece of plain toast.
As an active Genshin player, I can tell you something: Genshin is still better (currently), but not *double* the better. It IS, though, double the *price*.

Ive seen a lot of people say WuWa's story is confusing and they have no clue what's going on. I'm not even tryna be rude at all but.. how is it in anyway confusing? I understand they throw a lot of random ass terms at us constantly but other than that its pretty simple to follow.
it's because of those terms and also the pacing. being sent on a wild goose chase for coded messages the moment you enter the world and somehow being able to just piece things together feels like the characters know what's going on but the players don't.

As a day 1 genshin player I can tell you that 1.0 Wuwa absolutely trashes 1.0 Genshin. Many players also didn't enjoy the Sumeru arc coz it felt rushed. Genshin players who keep praising Genshin like it has always been perfect only joined the game when everything was already stable.

@@vince4503yeah GI launch cutscenes were bugged on my experience as well, it freezes but the audio is still playing. Fortunately that's the only bug I had using the same phone I'm using Wuwa rn, in my WuWa experience is great though, only bugs are the audio cutting mid dialogue.
Honestly WuWa is already better to me because they are actually addressing stuff and fixing it. I've had optimization issues with genshin ever since it came out, but have gotten nothing to help that. I personally haven't had any optimization issues with WuWa but the fact that they are addressing it already puts it higher for me.

I normally skip stories as well. When I skipped, I felt that I am missing something, so I actually did read the dialogues when it came to the characters I cared about. Honestly I still love Genshin but Wuwa really did have everything I wanted in Genshin, I loved that zippyzip thing and running up walls were really fun and best, I could play on phone for Wuwa

1:30 I have a giga brain, so I know what the entire paragraph is gonna be based on the first 5 words. There are only like 3 Blue Quests in the entirety of HSR that I haven't skipped. If developers wanted me to pay attention, they would have payed and extra month of rent to the VAs to voice it.
This is why I never play games on the first day because there are always major problems in games discovered on launch that need to be patched. Then I start playing a couple days after launch when the issues get fixed.
