- This is my last Surron upgrade. It's been fun and I have learned a whole lot but it is time for me to move on and start building a new bike from the ground up. Came to the same conclusion myself. I’ve just bought all the parts to start my electric supermoto build. It’s a CR500 frame with QS138 motor fardriver 96850 controller and I’m building a custom battery. I live in CDA so hit me up if you ever want to talk.
That sounds like a good project. Spot welding it yourself I assume? What spot welder are you using? Mine just blew up so I'm looking for a new one.
Why use a cr500 frame? There are much cheaper and better options, did you just have one laying around or something? hahaha

@@youreasnake4548 Some guy started building a supermoto with it and never finished the project so i bought it off him for cheap. He didn’t have the engine so it was ideal for an electric build.

best way to do super moto electric: get a cheap 250 or 125 MX bike, strip it and get the electro and co plug in kit (gas to electric)
as far as chopper go, do the same, get a bike with a blown engine and swap the engine for the electro and co kit.
Be war that the battery cost and weight will be horrendous....

Once i start working again i will buy a supermoto and start posting videos like you, i had a sports bike and then i had got hit by a car in the rain because they couldn’t stop in time and i broke my left ankle and left wrist and i was stuck in bed for 5 months before i was able to get better and lost my job. So once i get another one i will get a supermoto and start uploading. You make me want to start bro, please keep up the great videos man 💯🤘🏼

Would love to see you work with your sponsors to get a bolt in kit to convert a klr or hawk 250 into a electric supermoto or trail bike. Something that would get 60-100miles per charge at 60mph.

A Stark Varg could last as long on the trails as you could. You don't need no stinking gas bike! Also the Talaria Boys love their aftermarket motors. Check them out.

Been following the build for a while. Totally understand the reasoning for going gas for offroad but it'd be cool to see you try out the LAND Moto offroad too.
Here's my position on gas these days - if I am boondocking and 100 miles in the middle of nowhere I can use wind and/or solar to create fuel but I can't magically make gas if my jerry cans are empty.
Do you ride with a portable solar setup?

Buy a street bike with blown motor … swap in electric done …. No inspection .. just do it for you … not likes or views …. ?? You just trashed all the ideals that your fan base belive in .. yeah what your trying to achive is called 2stroke yz250 …. Even i have one i bought for $1200 but i ride for fun not views - and gave up reckless driving when i grew up . Going fast and wheelies on a street legal bike … oh of course ! Still reclkless and illegal grow up

Great job on the video Edwin! Thanks for making it. "Electric Chopper" you say? Are you going to use the Eahora line of scooters as a platform? I've always wondered what one of those would be like all modded out. That M1P plus the sidecar would be fun as heck with 100 mile range at around 55mph.
Definitely curious about how you’d make a custom electric motorcycle street legal. I’m in VA, and they classify anything that can go over 35 as a motorcycle 😭

I upgraded to an ultra bee after i grew out of the stock talaria mx3.lets just say i dont ride my 6kw 72v razor any more. The ultra bee as a stock 12.5kw machine totally kicks but! @EdwinOlding
@EdwinOlding if no-one sponsors your ultra bee build, I'd suggest checking out one of the Alibaba vendors. One can be delivered for $5700 or less. Just have to wait 2 months. Maybe do a video on the sourcing and ordering process!
So Edwin what is your longest wheelie? The reason I ask is that I had a Schwinn 5 speed sting ray growing up as a kid. It was so well balance I could wheelie effortlessly to the point it was almost like riding a unicycle, able to make turns etc. and ride a wheelie until I decided to stop. My longest measured was 5 miles down farm roads, riding over to the next town. Do you find it that easy to wheelie long distances?

You think LA has lax riding laws? Completely untrue. We have very strict riding laws but a justice system that will not enforce certain laws. I don't agree with all the bike laws but it sucks that the same system that seems to have understanding on certain issues like this also let actual criminals off

Let's see a stark lol, but yea if your looking for purely motocross/ dirt riding you can't beat a gas dirt bike I feel the only real predecessor of a real dirt bike that's electric is a stark so far
