    I agree with the title. Just got an Eibach Pro Kit, brand new OEM Vector steering wheel and Saab center caps and it's night and day difference. You did some nice upgrades too!

    Great video, it’s the small enhancements like this that matter! Getting my hands on a 03 only boot button in the drivers door was such a big win!

    • @AutoAutopsy
      @AutoAutopsy  2 месяца назад

      Nice! That’s a good upgrade I would have definitely done if I didn’t have an 03 already! 👍🏼😂 how about a lit up ISM or locking gas cap?

    Just for an aero wheel for my 9-3X and I cannot wait to drive it around. Personalizing Saabs is so excellent.

    Right, devil's in the details, I just ordered a set of new center caps for my viking rims.
    A bit ridiculous price wise, 100 bucks for 4 pieces of plastic, but hey, now they'll look brand new 😎

    • @AutoAutopsy
      @AutoAutopsy  2 месяца назад

      Right on. You likely could have polished the current ones to restore them! 😁

    Cool! I've seen some people putting mercedes amg paddle shifters behind the wheel instead of the thumb shifters, that's another super nice mod

    • @AutoAutopsy
      @AutoAutopsy  2 месяца назад

      Nice. I wonder how they got them to work. Ideally those would be a lot better (assuming they look oem), but since the OEM ones are thumb mounted, might be tough?

    One thing SAAB could've done to make the Sentronic controls really pop is when you put your gear lever to 'sport' the two little gears with the - & + on the steeringwheel light up just like on the centre console.

    • @AutoAutopsy
      @AutoAutopsy  10 дней назад

      agreed - that would've been cool for sure!

    You should get a short shifter and do a video on that. I am looking into them especially from GenuineSaab and would love to hear your opinion.

      I have an automatic in this car, but I did have a GS short shifter in my Turbo X (no video on it as it was installed when I bought the car). It was great!

    Great video! Is it the same process in Tech2 to pair the ‘Cruise Control’ with this car? My Vector didn’t come with ‘Cruise Control,’ but I replaced the stalk with one that has it. Next step is to get a Tech2 clone from somewhere. Thanks!

    Looks great! Really want to change my steeringwheel too, I still got the big standard one on it haha. Also do you know how to take off the overhead lightning panel? When I am driving in low rpm or on brick roads, the overhead panel is rattling alot. I wanted to see if I can somehow tighten it down. But I can't seem to find any screws or know how to take it off.

    Hi Jacob,
    What are the most essential mechanical and electrical (DIY) areas do we need to be practicing and investing in to prolong the life of our saabs?
    Thanks,

      I can’t think of anything too crazy off the top of my head. Ecu spacer kit or relocation would definitely be at the top of my list - I have a video on that! Other than that, timing and balance chain guides depending on mileage (I also have a video on that). Those are both assuming you have a 2.0. Regular maintenance too, of course. Hope this helps!

      I find putting the shifter into manual mode more natural than using paddle shifters. Perhaps because I drove a manual for many decades prior.
