I agree with the title. Just got an Eibach Pro Kit, brand new OEM Vector steering wheel and Saab center caps and it's night and day difference. You did some nice upgrades too!
Right, devil's in the details, I just ordered a set of new center caps for my viking rims. A bit ridiculous price wise, 100 bucks for 4 pieces of plastic, but hey, now they'll look brand new 😎
Nice. I wonder how they got them to work. Ideally those would be a lot better (assuming they look oem), but since the OEM ones are thumb mounted, might be tough?
One thing SAAB could've done to make the Sentronic controls really pop is when you put your gear lever to 'sport' the two little gears with the - & + on the steeringwheel light up just like on the centre console.
I have an automatic in this car, but I did have a GS short shifter in my Turbo X (no video on it as it was installed when I bought the car). It was great!
@@AutoAutopsy well you could be the first to ever bring it in a professional way😂 I’ve never seen a detailed video about a manual swapped Saab, but I know they can be pretty tedious to do
Great video! Is it the same process in Tech2 to pair the ‘Cruise Control’ with this car? My Vector didn’t come with ‘Cruise Control,’ but I replaced the stalk with one that has it. Next step is to get a Tech2 clone from somewhere. Thanks!
I was watching your old custom exhaust setup vid before the maptune system do you have links to the parts you used for example what kind of high flow magnaflow do you have
Looks great! Really want to change my steeringwheel too, I still got the big standard one on it haha. Also do you know how to take off the overhead lightning panel? When I am driving in low rpm or on brick roads, the overhead panel is rattling alot. I wanted to see if I can somehow tighten it down. But I can't seem to find any screws or know how to take it off.
Hi Jacob, What are the most essential mechanical and electrical (DIY) areas do we need to be practicing and investing in to prolong the life of our saabs? Thanks, Rhys 9-3 owner
I can’t think of anything too crazy off the top of my head. Ecu spacer kit or relocation would definitely be at the top of my list - I have a video on that! Other than that, timing and balance chain guides depending on mileage (I also have a video on that). Those are both assuming you have a 2.0. Regular maintenance too, of course. Hope this helps!
Hi! Great video. I'm just wondering where you got that steering wheel from? I love the look of it but I've been searching everywear for it but I cant find it!

Awesome 👏🏼
I just changed my Saab Center caps, a simple thing buy makes a difference.
What's the part number for the Eibach Pro Kit?
Great video, it’s the small enhancements like this that matter! Getting my hands on a 03 only boot button in the drivers door was such a big win!
Nice! That’s a good upgrade I would have definitely done if I didn’t have an 03 already! 👍🏼😂 how about a lit up ISM or locking gas cap?
Just for an aero wheel for my 9-3X and I cannot wait to drive it around. Personalizing Saabs is so excellent.
That sounds like a great upgrade! 👍
Great! I really like having them on mine. Look cool too
100% 👍🏼😁

Right on. You likely could have polished the current ones to restore them! 😁
Carbon looks good in this application. Nice job
Thank you!
Cool! I've seen some people putting mercedes amg paddle shifters behind the wheel instead of the thumb shifters, that's another super nice mod

agreed - that would've been cool for sure!
Looks great! Where did you get the steering column gaiter from?
Just from the junkyard!
You should get a short shifter and do a video on that. I am looking into them especially from GenuineSaab and would love to hear your opinion.

Are you teasing us a manual swap?👀
HAHA no. I wish though :(((

I assume cruise control would be a similar process, but not 100% sure!

I don’t, sorry. It was all done by the exhaust shop :(

I *think* it’s just plastic clips/tabs that hold it in but I haven’t ever removed one

Its a Maptun one😊

Try sending them an email. I recently got a 900 exhaust that was out of stock but they were able to order one!

Also can paddle shifters be added even if I didn’t have them before or do I have to do something with a tech 2
you have to install them with the Tech 2
The 10:45 mark onward discusses this. You need a tech2 to marry it 👍🏼
I find putting the shifter into manual mode more natural than using paddle shifters. Perhaps because I drove a manual for many decades prior.
