- Take a look at painting in virtual reality (VR) with Google Tilt brush and the HTC Vive. This video is my first experience painting in VR. We look at a few of the brushes and I create a painting from scratch.

Bob Ross would've loved this and minecraft
who says he's not playing this in heaven?
He's creating 3d little clouds and trees in heaven.
@@defaultmate *happy trees
Yeah lol
Can’t forget Minecraft
Wow. This is awesome. I'm a digital artist, but I've never tried to paint in 3D or with VR before - yet!
You did it. I can't believe it. It's amazing.
2:39 YOU'RE WELCOME FOLKS.
My eyes ;-;
Santiago RUclips because you didn’t ask for likes I shall like.
This is a revolution in the world of the art
Yo I'm super proud you built your own pc. You take a lot of effort to be literate in modern day technology, even though some in your generation might see it as childlike. It's awesome.
this is actually insanely cool. would even be more cool if somehow you can collab with other artists and create a sort of art museum where you can walk around and see other ppls work.
Hey hey they made a game that’s the same thing only multiplayer!
The new Oculus Quest has this, and it is very similar to the PC Version.
Wow, truly beautiful.
My Mind is Officially BLOWN!
I find your tutorials really helpful. 💓
Amazing to experience your experience in VR. Hopefully you will continue to work in the new medium.
Thanks Kim, I plan on it!
So cool! Thanks for sharing :) We're hoping to post some Tilt Brush things soon!
Wow.....so amazing technology
This is do creative. Please do more of these
Beautiful
So cool, and your blue bird looks great! I got an Oculus Go for Christmas and I really love it but it's hard to paint with only 3 degrees of freedom. Still fun though. I think I'm going to save up for the Quest next, lol. For now, I'm really enjoying my Go :-).
The new Quest 2 has higher specs *and* it's cheaper!
Exciting possibilities!
amazing work
Very cool !! it’s kinda sad I can’t reach out and touch the bird lol
This is cool! Nicely done!
Dang he makes it look easy
yea nice this is really cool. i would like to create my own world
super mangaka S A M E !
Nice work...
Great....congratulations.
I tried to do this from memory after what hung this last night or this morning. It’s nothing as good as yours but it was a start. I don’t know how to import pictures just yet but it was really fun to do.
Awesome
Awesome Video!! I'm going to try to make a bird in Tilt Brush. Thanks for the Inspiration :-)
the oculus quest Tilt will be cut down version, but the Quest only costs $399 all in
you DON'T have to spend $$$$$$$ on a pc and $$$$$$$ on a headset
Nice one.
I like VR Art, want to learn more about.
Any suggestions in toolkits that i can buy for a beginner, software, PC, how to install it etc.
Thanks again for the great channel , and amazing content you add.
Buy an oculus quest, you dont need a PC. It's a wireless rechargeable device. Then you can download tilt brush and play!
If you still looking for something do what the guy said below except get the new quest for 300 bucks and that's it you don't need a pc
Hi Areej, I am making videos about VR art, feel free to subscribe to my channel for more details. As the guys said, the new Oculus Quest 2 is not expensive, and it doesn't require a PC. You can find Tilt Brush on it, as well as Gravity Sketch, both excellent programs. If you can connect your Quest to a PC, you can use even more VR art programs like Oculus Quill and Oculus Medium, which are incredible programs.
وبتكلم العربية كمان
great insight, thank you!!
i love vr's
awesome video! Keep up!
cool bird
Amazing!
Thanks Indah!
Everything will be in VR! 😀
Nice job, though if I were you I would edit the painting and make the wings a bit more obvious.
really helpful, thanks!
I really want this badly!! I’m absolutely new to VR meaning I don’t know anything at all about it! I’m looking at this and wondering could someone that had never picked up a VR headset do this?? Or would it be too complicated?
I suck at drawing.Tried this and tried making a volcano.didnt do well
If you haven't already gotten something, I would get the oculus quest coming out later this month, because it is standalone, and you don't need a pc
Hi Danielle. I am not an artist by any means, but I found it really intuitive to draw in VR. I think it's because we are already accustomed to thinking in 3D.
As for the technical side, setting this up is a little involved if you're going to buy a PC headset (like in this video), not to mention expensive. but thankfully there is a new headset coming out soon called the Oculus Quest, which does not require a computer. It works just on its own. And this painting program will be available on it.
It's still a substantial investment - 400$ for the Oculus Quest. I don't know if other painting programs will be available on it, but you can also use it to play games, watch movies, hang out with people online etc.
cant wait for birtchday
Curious, is there a gallery for curating, selling these sculpts?
Yes yes yes, please go forward....I use my hands for sculpting so I just need inteligent gloves connected here!!!
youd be stoked to find that hand tracking with-out gloves, is currently in working beta!
There are sculpting programs in VR too, I spend hours in there!
Wow. Where would I purchase something like this? Probably something off the internet?
Thankiuu
It is unique and different, but I am very old-fashioned when it comes to my arts and crafts - - I need to, not only see, but feel, smell, and sense it all. Yes, I get that your whole body moves with all VR, but when you are done, what do you do with it? How do you share it with those that do not like, have, or do VR?
Hi Garden Glows Design, I guess folks who don't like VR won't find much interest here. I guess there may be people out there that don't like oil painting too. You can share your work on platforms like Poly which give people the opportunity to interact with your art digitally or even in virtual reality. You can see the painting that I created in this video here...poly.google.com/view/8SFtN0ywZm3
Traditional drawing and painting is not for everyone, just like VR is not for everyone. Have you ever tried any virtual reality before?
the paper medium is not the only medium for drawing.
we could also think that the cave drawings in the caves was the only support ... We are in the 21st century, and all that allows us to express ourselves and the good come ... We must live with our time, and nothing neglect. past or futur, everything is welcome.
I repeat every day these few words: At the PRESENT time, use the PAST to get a better FUTUR.
you can save it as an image, or a gif or a video.
Can u animate this and add background etc? Or put t the file on to the laptop and animate on blender or other 3d animation software??
Does Google Tilt Brush have sculpture mode? Meaning you start with a 4' tall cube or something representing a solid mass for you to work as a sculptor. And instead of brushes you have chisels to work with.
Did you build this in Creative?
My dream ♥️♥️♥️
Did you do a video also about your PC configuration ? How you made it ? The cost ? Etc ? Thanks ; -)
But first thing, i want to know were you baught your magic shirt ? Any link ? Thanxxx
incredible. do you have details on the computer you built and the total cost?
Oh my god it is Amazing i m a traditional artist you can watch my videos on my channel but it is something different i have played video games in vr before but painting in it is something at whole new level!
I'm curious, is this a tool I could use for drawing in 2D? I already have an Oculus 2 and would rather use what I have rather than buy a separate drawing tool right now.
its like a 3d pen, but its infinite and customable.
How did you record this video?
Can you enlarge the picture and draw over the picture?
Imagine your doing this and someones watching you and your not noticed it and he/she said "what kind of ritual is that"
Nice ❤🌹
What other programs are there for 3 d modeling?
Myself has this game and you don’t need to be a artist I am not and I have it and it’s really cool and that to much.😮
Wow
Can I convert a 3D drawing into an animation?
Does this work on oculus rift?
*Bruh I have a Oculus Quest and I have Tilt Brush*
*If I tried to make this*
*It looks like 𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓉*
the warld is the cabis
Anyone knows if Tilt brush for HTC its the same versión for oculus quest??
Their brushes don't blend do they?
Wow ,I want This paint virtuality , But how can this product become popular ? In the whole world.
Imagine how VR and AR will look like in the corporate world.
I really love what we can do with VR, but tbh, i get seasick (motion sick?) watching you draw, and i nearly threw up at the end. I had the chance to try VR games before and had the same feeling. I guess VR is just not for me.
Hi Margaret,
I got the same feeling when I started. It takes some getting used to. This app did not make me seasick although some games on VR really get my head spinning.
It takes a little getting used to, after a couple days you don't feel sim sickness anymore.
As for why you felt it while watching the video, me too, it's because the camera's moving a lot.
It's usually a good idea for a VR user to not jerk their head around too much, when they're recording.
Tilt Brush has a spectator camera that can be placed in the scene; it also has the benefit of showing the VR user moving around and drawing, in 3rd person. Example ruclips.net/video/wDvBrAUr_Bs/видео.html
Can I use oculus quest vr for painting?
Yes you can! I have the oculus quest and Tilt Brush (same in the video) is my favorite game! Just buy it on the app store via oculus app or inside the headset.
Zach Barker wow I really should get it its so cool😻😻😻 but where can I buy the oculus quest?
@@MariamTareqVR on Amazon or best buy
Anon Mom thank you❤️
Explanation about vr being unexplainable for those who haven't tried it sounds like a description of tripping hallucinogens.
Kind of yeah :) I tried to explain it to my friends but they weren't really excited about it. Invited them to try it out. After the first time most were like "one really can't explain this. You have to experience it yourself".
Wouldn't recommend.
I spent about 7 days completing my first world, but it wasn't very good. Everything went to shit when I broke my rib and it started chatting with this snake I played around with, earlier. I've had some practice now, but basically had to give up on my first couple of worlds. I guess I should get around to deleting them.
2/5
So basically its good but ur shite at it
@@jacktheman2360 lol
Guys, it's a Book of Genesis joke.
0:22 Exciting "tom" to be "alom"? Is that an accent or something else?
the built in light is good but then it makes all artwork from tilt look the same. there is no character
Bob Ross: the third dimension.
Ok, interesting and cool, but it is not for me. I suppose I am old-fashioned, but I really like to feel my mediums. But hey for you guys that enjoy this go go go.

Over 2 1/2 minutes of talking before finally showing what you're talking about is just uncalled for.
