Does Open Brush on Quest 3 support the reactive music brushes that Tilt Brush included in the PC version? I always thought that was an epic feature of the original app.
Good question here. I actually don't know and I'd have to look. I know back in the day I would always use PCVR instead of the Quest for TiltBrush because this only worked on the PC. I'd think it's the same bc (weirdly) there isn't a music player/spotify on the Quest headsets.
We just added support back in - currently you have to add a video with audio to your sketch, but we'll be adding support for "audio only" formats soon.
Hey, a serious question: how much memory does something like this campfire take? And: how large can your ‘canvas’ be? Okay, that’s two questions. I’m just wondering: could I use this to ‘redecorate’ my house? Let’s say I had a two-story 1800sqft house (approx 30ft x 30ft x 20ft) - could I draw pictures all over everything, and throw a party and give everyone a Meta Quest 3 and let everyone wander about in my ‘recently redecorated’ house? Also, could I attach one of these pictures to myself so it moved around with me and was (kinda) my avatar to other MQ3 users in the vicinity?
Haha so that is a tough one. I am not sure I could answer it well enough because I never tried. You would need to "map out" your entire house instead of just a room. The scale of a scene can be huge, but not sure how huge, and typically when you work, you shrink and move the space, so clearly you couldn't do that if you wanted it in the same place all the time. That said, there is another app called Figmin XR that is amazing. You map an actual space, then can shrink it and work, then click a button and the space snaps back to how your room actually is. In theory, this app MIGHT let you map your whole house then paint and add stuff all over it. Again in theory a friend could come over and load your drawing and see it - but would it be exactly the same? I have no clue!
Great video!! I have a couple of questions before I wanna buy meta quest to paint with if that's alright. How big of a space can you paint on, I'd like to paint less of an object but more of a 3D scene e.g. Can you paint the sky? How far can you move about? Also, can you save your artworks to photos or something? How can people access your artworks? Thankyou!! 😊
i can answer these. i have had my oculus since release and have been using this app for about a month now. If you want to paint a scene(i am imagining a diorama like thing) at a real life size, then obviously your going to have 2 options, make a smaller scaled down version of you scene maybe 3x3ft or make one the size of your room, although you could paint bigger than your room and use the fly tool to fly around your scene and add objects and etc. Also logically i would imagine this could be ram intensive but it might be less so while plugged into your computer. 2. Yes of course you can paint the sky, you can fly through your painting as though you were there so you have, again, 2 options, fly into the sky and paint it from there, or paint the sky at a smaller scale and enlarge it, which is much easier. 3. Again you have 3 ways of moving. Teleport. similar to vr chat and most other vr games, then you have flight which is a handy tool and is 100% my most used tool when i am on my ass and dont want to crawl to draw smth. You are like a god making your own world. Edit: walking is the third form of moving but like irl walking. I know for sure you can save your art in the app, for sharing art you could just share it to insta directly from your headset as a screenshot. Or screenshot it then send it to your pc and upload from there. Or use pcvr and obs to record and upload. Also just so you know i wouldn't recommend something like redecorating your room because when making stuff you have to regularly change the size of your art, which would also change the rotation and can be quite difficult to adjust once messed up, and when you load your art in after saving it, it will not always be facing the same direction anyway and also for you to see the new room you would have to wear your headset and that alone can be frustrating. Anyway good luck. also this video goes more indepth about scene creation i recommend it! ruclips.net/video/tFSAZvQTZBE/видео.html
So recording MR always looks better than in the actual device. Mind doesn't look this crisp at all. It's not bad, early tech, but yea - recordings always seem to make it look better. Maybe that's a resolution thing or something, I really don't know?!
@@nickisabelle724 the difference in quality is because there are a lot of processes that happen and not only that because you are seeing it straight through your eye position the glass isn’t self the lenses all plqy a part so it being grainy is not that bad like the pancake lenses in the quest 3 is so much better than quest 2 and other vr headsets it’s price
I immediately installed 'Open Brush' on my Quest 3 after seeing this demo. Excellent skills!
Good stuff my dude, glad to see tilt/open brush still being used. That got me to get into vr on the vive, now i should upgrade and get this.
Oh boy, you just literally killed it
Wooo! 1000th subscriber!! Awesome creative use of space 👌🏼

I checked it out. Unfortunately it doesn't have the music reactive brushes. I miss those!

@@AndyBakerUK awesome! I can't wait to try this out! The music responsive brushes were my favorite.

I've wondered about this. Borderline false advertising for meta to not add a disclaimer that this isn't in-game quality.

Whats the game name
This is called Open Brush (formerly Google Tilt Brush, which became open source so these guys released a free version with some added features!)
The best part is that it's free
