yes please. This is the only thing that hinders me from buying a BB58 right, is that they will for sure do it in the future.

Last week, my AD had one just off the truck and still in the box. We opened it up, slid it on and I couldn't leave without it. Removed some links and took her home with me! The 5 link is insanely comfortable.
A must-buy for me.

That 5 link version is great. I agree it would be nice if they did a touch of red on the bezel like the BB58.
Get a BB Steel and put it on a Strapcode or Uncle Straps bracelet. It´s great.

Honestly, tried the display at the local store - and immediately wanted one. Completely different in person. Feels like a new daily driver. Didn't even mind the lack of date, which is normally a non starter for me.
Priced as it is, I'll be picking one of these up (and the GMT for travel) as soon as they're in stock. Gorgeous watch.
Haven’t a clue why you’d pay £4k more for a no date sub now.
Because Rolex is a Status symbol and Tudor isn’t. Also Rolex is better quality. And Rolex keeps its value a lot better. There are many many more reasons too.
@@Coolguy24686 Yeah pretty much, buy this next summer used and its gonna cost you like 3k. And then it will hold value for a long long time. Just my advice as a Tudor fanboy.
Much better build quality, higher quality steel, crown guard, ceramic bezel that doesn’t fade, improved lume, simpler dial, better hour and second hands, etc… Tudor has a good watch but let’s not pretend this is equal to a sub.
Better movement build quality, better residual value, etc submariner is just a better watch
Because everyone recognises Rolex, whereas Tudor is still unknown outside of watch community. No one off the street says...I'm gonna reward myself with a Tudor after my first big bonus. These luxary watches are all about brand, how they make you feel, and how they complete your look. Maybe 10 years from now, following all the investment in sponsorships, Tudor will be known in its own right. The big problem is....its designs and catalogue line up are Rolex copies. The marketing would be more honest if it called itself...Rolex heritage made fresh for today. Who buys a Skoda when they want an Audi? (same chassis and engines) I guess those that cant afford an Audi. But these are luxury items. Branding is King. And don't anybody come at me with that nonsense about buying it for yourself and not for others. Thats basic denial of how branding works and how humans make decisions.

It's a really nice watch with the Jubilee bracelet is perfect.
I was very impressed by the BB 58 GMT and I'm torn about which one to give myself for my birthday. I think that in the next few days I will go to the Tudor shop in the center of Rome to discover these new references.

My guess was blue or black this year. I would have liked blue bezel / blue dial, having now seen the black on black. Love the 5 link though.

This one is a beast
Now I have my 41mm black sub, I've finally stopped lusting after other watches. But if i didn't I'd probably have got this or the red bezel.
Id prefer a pop of red somewhere as well, but they did that with the pelagos 39 and I can see what they were going for here. I think making this in the 58 case would be even better to create more of a point of difference to the subs.

All I keep thinking is... well there's your Tudor Sub... totally agree on the touch of red. Maybe turn the shield red, or bring back a red rose.
I love the timepiece, but I would like it more if it this exact model came in GMT with the black dial.

Thats actually so sweet. But sweet in a way I dont want to sell my Jubilee Burgundy for that... I want to get both now. Its just different but in a way you also need the original Black Bay with the bit retro aesthetics it offers. This could be my next buy.

A red triangle marker 🔺 on the bezel would set this watch off. Fingers crossed for one on a future BB58 version.
I want to like this watch, but it's just missing something for me. Perhaps some other colour variants, or a white dialled version would get me hooked
Is there a large difference between META’s and COSC? Looks good re new monochrome watch - good content Harrison and quality secondary to quality and still looks good.
Harrison, I love the look of the watch. What would have sealed the deal for me would have been a date and a single red line text on the dial like my Pelagos 39.

Waiting for the new stuff they have for the 41mm to trickle down to the 58. I would also love to see these updates (to the movement and case thickness) with other past color variants such as the BB Blue (bezel, black dial) and steel (silver bezel). Maybe all in time..

Great addition - still like this rugged tool watch on the Oyster band - the jubilee is a bit to 'jewelry' for my taste on this model - but no wrong answers!!!
Considering selling my 124060 Sub and buying this instead. Love the design and the 5 link bracelet. Don’t see enough of a difference between the two watches to argue that one is worth 2-2.5x the cost of the other.

Probably next on my list, shame about the silly rivets on the oyster bracelet though because the jubilee looks very blingy.

In some renders online the monochrome looks to have a black sunburst looking dial, can you confirm it is a sunburst or a matte style dial? And does this differ from the gilt bb58?

Why don’t they use a Matt ceramic bezel insert like San Martin use. Aluminium would scratch too easily.
As Pelagos 42 owner- this is the one for me- yes, it’s pretty damn close to what I have but I can see this taking the place of the Pelly. For me at least. I agree, this will be by far and away their best seller this year.
Sharp watch. I do like the overall aesthetics of the Pelagos 42 a bit more.
It looks pretty solid. A great offering, albeit somewhat uninspired.

13.6 mm is too thick for a 3 hander. We didnt ask for Metas when COSC is good enough. Are they just using the Blackbay Ceramic Metas movement? I like the 5 link (jubilee) bracelet. Only if they have that option om the new Blackbay 58 GMT.

Does your average purchaser care about Metas certification? I think not, especially at a cost premium.
Tudor are doing great things but could price themselves into a sector that Rolex held 5-10 years ago. Will they generate a third brand to fill the old Tudor space?

@@PP080PP that’s a solid one as well. I am not really seeing much sense in the bb41 line anymore. If they want to keep it, they should make them slimmer like the 54 and 58. The new 58 GMT is almost 1mm thinner, has a GMT function, and is in a 39mm case rather than a 41mm

Tudor mixing and matching hands and markers is annoying. Make this dial resemble a vintage Tudor and I'd be more interested

Make one with a date
I know it defeats the whole point of being “monochrome” but Tudor, at least to me, has been synonymous to touches of detail that don’t take away from its bold geometry. I can accept that it will never be as thin as big brother Rolex (although I hope against hope)…but I miss the gilt on this watch
No one douse black & white like Tudor.
I think Pelagos 39 is more sexy and better alternative for submariner fans
