So I just switched from apple to Android after about 5 - 6 years over at apple. Had apple iPhone 14 max pro, pro ear buds, ultra watch, etc. Going from apple watch ultra to pixel 2 has been positive for me. I'm really enjoying the smaller form factor and a big pro is I can sleep with it with out noticing it. This is something I could t do with the ultra. I am in the gym or working out from home everyday and find the Fitbit tracker easier to use and I find the information I want faster. It also doesn't stop my work out randomly. I have full sleeve tattoos and my apple watch would always lock because of it. The pixel 2 has 4 sensors, if one of them can see through my tattoo it doesn't lock. Huge win for this watch over others I have tried. The charger isn't the best but I can place it on the charger and shower and it will be almost fully charged before bed.
I am trying to understand why battery life got a 3/10 😂😂😂

I've hopped around different smartwatches in the last few months, the most recent one was the Galaxy Watch 6 and then in the last couple of weeks, picked up the Pixel Watch 2. So far im pretty happy with it as I was using Fitbit for my fitness tracking. My only gripe is I wish it was a little bigger as ive got chunky wrists.
I've been running the Galaxy Watch 6. Got the 44mm screen. I love the display. It's the best feature of the watch but I think PW2 outperforms it, especially in fitness😊
I'm about 2 weeks into using my new Pixel Watch 2 and love it so far. I'm coming from the Apple Watch Ultra, but have had several Apple Watches and several Samsung watches. What has really iced the cake for me was buying the PWW38 watch face. It's PERFECT for this watch. I highly recommend it. The battery life for me works well and that's with about 1 hour a day of GPS tracking on walks and sleeping with it for sleep tracking. And when I need to top it off, it charges really quickly so it's not a problem for me since I spend most of my day in front of a computer anyway.
I'm really stuck between the apple watch 9 or the pixel watch 2 I would need to switch phones for the apple watch so I'm just wondering if at this point should i not get one at all anyway point of this reply: how is the pixel watch holding up? Are you still using it? Is it better then the apple watch 9?
I always disliked the shape of the Apple Watch. I always thought it should be round. It is after all a watch so it would be more fitting for it to be round in shape. Every year I hoped they would redesigned the shape and every year I was disappointed.
Personal preference. The Apple watch fits more into its watch face due to its squared design. I have the AW7, GW 6 Classic and Pixel watch, 1st generation and I still favor the AW with the GW6C 2nd and the PW 3rd. The PW is just to small in 2023 for you to do a ton of interaction on like the AW and GW. Although they are watches, they are specifically designed for optimal technology for interfacing with and as a sub to your phone. Just my opinion 😊.

I take my hat off to you Pete for making the change to Android, I do love Google Pixel and how they do things but to totally move away from the fruit is so hard, my family is on Apple and things like screen time, buying apps and so on...
I would say it's more important that the front doesn't break compared to the back. Who cares if the HR sensor doesn't break when its facing your wrist lol
I tried the Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 for a couple of weeks. Loved the Pixel Watch with integrated Fitbit more than my Apple Watch and also like the form factor of the Pixel 8. However, I didn’t get on very well with Android and I’m back to my iPhone 15 and Apple Watch. Really wish the Pixel Watch could be used with iPhones. That would be great.
Apple would unfortunately never let a pixel watch mesh with an iPhone. 😂

The Pixel watch works with any Android phone but not an iPhone.
You score the battery 3/10? That seems to end the review. Who would buy a smart watch with 3/10 battery rating?
3/10 seems so harsh. The PW2 has a great battery. It's no Garmin but it's performance is way different than a Garmin, obviously. I charge my PW2 before bed while I'm doom scrolling, wear it at night for sleep tracking, charge it while I'm in the shower and then it lasts all day with no issues with 40-50% left by bed time. The battery life has also gotten better the longer I've had it. Pretty sure it has the adaptive battery software like the pixel phones.

💯 agree that the Pixel Watch is more enjoyable to use than the Samsung Galaxy Watch. If they could just push out a bit more battery life, a bigger form-factor and remove the Fitbit paywall... Chef's kiss!
Apple Watch is Apple Watch. You can't use it Android and you can't use Pixel Watch on iPhone so who cares? 🍎🍊

I don't understand why you have issues connecting the charger, it's very easy. Furthermore the charger is compatible withe the Versa 3 and 4. Do your research before misleading customers.
Agreed. Literally just the direction of the crown. Takes 2 seconds to figure it out and it snaps to position every time. Lol
I have not tried the pixel watch outside the stores, but it just seems cheap compared to the Apple Watch Ultra. Recently switched to apple been an android user since the beginning of smartphones. Just had enough of android.
I’ve used the pixel watch, the galaxy watch 6 and I can say that the Apple Watch is years ahead of anything else in the market. I’ve just gone back to iPhone and picked up a watch 8 and it’s just a whole different ball game.
care to explain further? How long did you use the Pixel / Galaxy Watch between switching from iPhone to Android and back to iPhone?
Regarding accuracy of data, the Pixel Watch 2 is pretty much similar to the Apple Watch in that.
And regarding software, it's really a preference.

I agree. Apple Watch has superior performance, better UI and UX, way more first and third party accessories, and in most cases better battery life
I haven’t gotten a chance to use a Pixel watch. They look nice but super small for my wrist. Just haven’t made the leap yet. I, too am an Apple and android user and switch quite a bit. I’ll be honest the galaxy watches seem very slow. They could use a bump in chip performance. It’s night and day difference between galaxy watch and Apple Watch. I get kinda tired with Samsung and all their bloat as well. So many Samsung apps. Just use google. I prefer a much cleaner OS.
Nah blud, Apple Watch is literally still the best smartwatch out there, I mean of course if your android you’d go for android watch, but if you go for the best watch, it’s Apple Watch ultra no questions here surely
I forget the details, but Pixel Watch 2 is really close to Apple Watch in terms of HR accuracy and sleep tracking accuracy. In fact, the sleep tracking might be slightly better.
Though, I think it ends there. The fitbit app looks outdated without any design uniformity. I think Google needs to fix the app first before they can be considered better. But it's the first Android smartwatch to ever get that high accuracy.
