I went for the Tandorio version with PT5000 movement, for US$100 this past December '23 (Aliexpress/Time Watch Store). Spec wise, it looks very similar with a double-domed sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel (120 clicks, unidirectional), BGW9 lume on bezel and dial, sand-blasted S.S. 316L case, w/unsigned crown and backplate. Considering the fit/finish and high-beat movement (4Hz), it's a steal. Not a particularly thin watch at 14mm. The domed crystal adds about 3mm to an already thick case. Nevertheless, I find the watch light on the wrist, comfortable, and true to the vintage look. I wear mine with a three color NATO (black/silver-grey/vintage yellow) that matches the watch perfectly. With the NH35 movement, the Tandorio only costs ~$70.
Bought one…..great looking watch with a killer lume, almost too much info to comprehend in the middle of the night. The crown however is about 2mm too small and also needs to extend out another mil or so.
Somehow, presumably because of the shirt and the glasses, when I only had a glance at the thumbnail, this registered as both an Anthony Fantano video and a watch review video. And then I started the video and your name is actually Anthony. I feel like I might be hallucinating this video right now.
Possibly. However, I must say that after seeing Tornek-Rayville at the Intersect watch show in Atlanta, I came to realize that the Thorn was not much different in look and feel. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Nice review of this watch. I want a Bulova Milships but it’s not in the cards right now. So to scratch that itch I may get this watch.
The most closest to the original Blancpain is the Octopus Kraken “No Radiations” case wise, bezel wise and strap wise. And has the PT5000 movement
Great video. I've had my eye on this one.
This one has me tempted. Kinda digging the Baltic Aquascaphe too but it's $600. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for stopping by! I’d left a reply a bit earlier, but I just now saw the comment :-)
I’ve got the No Radiations model of this same watch very good build
I bet that’s cool
@ it is very nice
that "exploration road" line needs to go then im getting one 😂

Io ho comprato il thorn marinemaster 200 abalonblack e ne sono contento
Looks great. But I'm partial to the Bulova competition.
They are 5 times the price!

It's identical to a Redunae. With tiny crown which I hate.
The small crown is faithful to the original watch it is aping.
For the money you cant go wrong. I have one and its excellent and a steal for $120.
Think ill grab this for work
..... the lug width on the Bulova Mil-Ships is actually 16mm not 18mm .......
If they make a version 2 with sapphire and no EXPLORATION ROAD, then i would jump on this like Oprah on a baked ham.
I don’t really get the obsession with sapphire crystals, to be honest.
Thanks for the review IMO it's too small and has too much nonsensical lettering on it.
Thanks for watching!
Io ho preferito il marinemaster200 abalonblack
Crown is too small
Yeah. I agree.
SM would do it better
