      CVL, I just traded both my mk3 and Live for the plus just yesterday and got a great deal. So far I like the simplicity of it being a standalone and the build quality is good. I did have an issue running an update on it last night but it eventually worked itself out. Also like the fact it’s wireless and you can add multiple external thumb drives. Otherwise I like it. I also got the studio a few weeks ago and it’s my go to for the desktop. I like the eco system of maschine as it’s much more easier for me to pick it up than the MPC’s and it way more fun to make music on.

    This is one of the more honest reviews I have seen all of your points are valid. The only other thing I would have addressed is that it’s still buggy in standalone and we having been waiting for sever bug fixes (audio issues, crashes,reboots) since November.

      Hi Christopher,
      Thank you for watching. You are right. I did forget about that. I have had the device to shut off on me. I do have an issue with the controller connecting to my desktop but it connects to my laptop. I have found that the problem is not with the Maschine Plus but with a change on my computer. Thanks for your comment. I can’t wait for the update either.

    Maschine mikro mk2 was my first piece of physical gear about almost 6 or 8 years ago and I loved it, I sold it to experiment with others daw but bought the plus barely a week ago and man I love it soo much
    My pros
    - the maschine workflow
    -stock sounds/ instruments
    - stock effects
    -sequencing makes more sense then the current generation mpcs imo (haven't owned one yet but I do want the mpc one)
    -standalone works fine for what I need
    -i love that there is a button for almost ever feature
    -scale and chords feature is amazing
    -built in arp feature opens up a lot of creativity
    My cons
    - I wish there was a overdub button like mpcs
    -bluetooth should have been a feature
    -cpu needs work
    -i wish it would automatically turn back to standalone mode after leaving the maschine software, it's annoying that it kind of shutdowns then I have to unplug and replug it if I already turned of my computer
    -i feel like being able to put a hard-drive in would've been better then sd card
    -i feel from what I've seen(mind you i have not owned a current gen mpc) sampling could be better for, I'm not a huge sample based producer and that's something I want to work on but I could be wrong about the sampling
    -wish you could tweak along more with the arp feature
    -would love to see more NI plugins in standalone
    -I feel like for the price built in speakers would have been doable compared to the Live 2
    -converting midi to audio should be a must instead of recording your sample

    • @CDMESD
      @CDMESD  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching the video. I truly appreciate it. Hey, I love the pros and cons. There are a lot if updates it needs. I hope they do not pull what Aksi typically does. They will create a new product and leave Gen 1 behind. It has been a long time from the supposed release of the next updates. Also, there were major corporate changes taking place. This may or may not hinder NI Products.

    Bought it to get back to that Maschine workflow with my hardware synths. Stopped using it about 7 years ago after moving to Ableton and Push. Started building my hardware setup a few years ago sequenced by the MPC Live. Bought the + and love it. Midi control over your external synths is bad though, MPC Live so much better in this regard, but the workflow can't be beat imo. I've made more music on this than I have done on anything else. Love it and I've been lucky that I haven't had many bugs. Never used it in controller mode, standalone only!

      What’s Up Crybo? I know a lot of people love the workflow of the Maschine Plus. I love Ableton and the Ableton Push 2. I see that. I have not tried many external synths with my setup. Everything I use is virtual. Thanks for watching my video. I truly appreciated it.

    Best/favorite features? Geez.... Maschine+ (disclaimer: i am a complete noob) as far as I can tell, is a completely new, almost first-of-ITs-kind groovebox daw-in-a-box that gives way more sounds, synths, and instruments than the MPC line.... Using only Maschine+, one can make entire tracks, improvise live with no other gear, sequence and enhance other gear, make music anywhere (as long as your battery pack and MyVolts Ripcord hold out), experiment, sample, loop live instruments, on and on.... And the support, firmware updates, and evolution of this instrument are literally just beginning! This is truly a music dream come true, and even as a noob, i don't see the MPC line (or any other line, for that matter) coming even close to the massive variety of synths and sounds available within the NI ecosystem on the + 🤷‍♂️👍😍

    • @CDMESD
      @CDMESD  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching the video bro. Yeah, the synths are the best features within the unit. I hope that the update gives more functionality.

    I bought the mk3 then the plus because it do the same and it's cheaper with the same result. My boy was mad cause he could have use the rest of the money to buy packs! Far as standalone mk3 and the + still the same. To me the only thing is with the mk3 is u need a laptop to use it but for I taking it with me so I can edit on the spot!!! But I will say either way if any one get the mk3 or plus still will have a professional sound. Great video Brother!!!

    I'm huge maschine mk3 fan. Love the workflow on that maschine, huge upgrade from the mk1 that I had few years ago. I'm now going for the MPC live for te portability (I travel alot for my job) and to get away from the computer. IMO, Maschine plus missed the portability train with this unit (no battery, no SSD slot). I mean it's still a great unit cause the mk3 was, but I'd prefer to be able to use that RAM and SSD stoarage to use my NI vst in standalone mode. Just not worth the money. Nice and honest review. I liked it. Cheers!

    Would this or Komplete Kontrol be better to use with a guitar? My main focus is playing guitar and having a complimentary production hardware to create beats with it. Such as bass lines, synth, sampling sounds, drum patterns.

    • @CDMESD
      @CDMESD  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching my video. To answer your question. If you want a dawless setup the Machine plus is nice. The Komplete Kontrol is a a software program with Native instruments. It is similar to Maschine. The maschine plus would be a great addition. In my opinion, the maschine plus is for those that want to disconnect from the computer. Also, it is for those that do not have an MK3. You cannot just connect your bass to the Komplete Kontrol midi controller. What is your current production setup?

    I just got a Studio. Portability means nothing to me at this point. The plus is built the way the MK3 should be built. They are pretty much the same as you said. I am learning the Studio. But the price point of buying a used Studio and used MK3 or a + is huge. As long as they keep allowing upgrades for the Studio I'm good. Even if they don't the ability that it has will continue to make it relevant.

    Question, Maschine Plus or MPC X?

    • @CDMESD
      @CDMESD  3 года назад

      It depends on what you are looking for. Do you want to the bells and whistles when it comes to samples? Are you use to the way Akai machines work. Or do you want access to the Ni Software. The maschine way of making beats. I love Akai but they revamp their products too soon for me. NI released the Mk3 in 2017. They are still using. Customer Services is great. Akai, I love the way the MPC Live II looks and its portability. The MPC X, you need to watch this video by Bolo Da Producer. ruclips.net/video/xethyIuaBAI/видео.html

    I'm still rocking my Studio & Jam, I never was interested in standalone devices. I have become mobile, but I invested in MPC Studio because of it's size, it fits in my laptop bag. Now because how well the Jam and Machine work together and the updates of the NI Software, I feel no need to purchase a Standalone device at all. I have never done a final mixed or master on my laptop. There are to many variables, processing power, plugin, effects and cost of storage. I do not believe a standalone product will outperform My Laptop. I have been able to invest in more samples, plugins, and other gear. I'm not knocking anyone for moving to any Standalone. When I watch videos of Dark Child, Timberland, George Duke, JDupree/BMichaelCox, Junkie Xl etc.... these Giants are always in the studio they may use a standalone product for ideas, but everything goes straight into or back to the computer. I have a couple of 737 and when a standalone product can produce vocals like that M/Pre I may consider one. Because of ARA I use Ableton and S1 simultaneously this is just so Dope. Your Channel is Dope!

      @CDMESD  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching the vid bro. I appreciate the comments about my channel. I agree with you. If you have something viable for a mobile solution, stick with it. Keep grinding. The laptop cpu can be more powerful than a standalone device. Some people are looking for that immediate portability. In some cases, the maschine plus can be optimal for that.
