Thanks for this vid. Without ever playing five minutes on my Maschine Studio I kept on buying Maschine expansions over the years and now that I am finally ready to learn Maschine I have amassed 250+ (factory) projects which once you deconstruct them are the best 'tutorials' you could wish for. Short term I am going to be satisfied to 'program' some audio and midi stems in Maschine that I can use in Ableton... Plenty of folk on YT who argue that Maschine is no longer relevant, I guess I am going to find out soon enough!
Oh really? Because the one i bought last night has a serial number on the controller to register it...but that apparently is different to the software serial. So i cant download maschine 2 software. And customer support says i will need to purchase the software from their website..
@@Mrs_Heyman not all used beat machines come with a license transfer. Sometimes you just get lucky. I bought a used mk2 a few years back from guitar center and didn’t even check for the software and by luck of the draw got a used mk2 with all the software
Maschine Studio ( like all tools ) has its Pro's and Con's Iv had mine for 3-4years and STILL havent fully worked it to its full potential LOL ( also bc i use FL Studio so havent spent much time on it ), imo i find the MStudio is STILL a relevant Tool to have in a personal Lab
J I am soooo glad you kept it real. From the title, I was on the fence, wondering if you were going to trash the Studio, because they’re several new models. Most people are so ready to trash anything older than the present. Fire production lies with the creator, not the tool. Studio is fire and so is the Roland MV 8000 (slower to upload and switch through platforms, but still a beast of a device). ✊🏾👊🏾
Of course STudio is relevant. :) Even in 2021! 270, direct from Native for B Stock / referb. Comes with all original software, which is worth it! 8GB+ of sounds, vsts, and a killer controller. There simply is not other option that gives you as much! MPC STUDIO 2, doesn't even come close. 2 LCD screens, knobs, dial, buttons, nice pads, built in stand. It's killer! For folks on a tight budget, this is a no brainer.
Yes, I agree with Rodney Harris. I decided to leave AKAI very unhappy with them so I brought a used Maschine Studio. I love it so far but I have a ways to go on learning how to use it. My mistake was going in thinking it’s like the MPC.... far from it...
Nice mayn ! I bought one of these secondhand last night - however, I can't use it at all....as I don't have the software...... I think it's extremely important to mention that if you buy one of these, but you don't have the software serial number (different to the hardware serial), then you will NOT be able to use it. As such, if I want to use it, I must now purchase the software for $99 US. Regardless, nice review ! But this thing is useless without 1) a computer always attached to it. 2) a license for the software
Thanks fam. I really appreciate this video. I actually have Maschine Studio and I was wondering if I was missing out on something. This answered my question.
my maschine studio crapped out on me 6 months back and I've been on the fence about maschine ever since. I've definitely been looking at the Push 2 since my main daw has always been ableton and it seems anything labeled ableton is of high quality. Which I'm still using akai controllers and they out lasted and are older than my maschine studio.
Did I just see you in a Unison commercial? LOL. I just pulled my Maschine Studio out of the box after of a couple of years of not using it. When I was programming Massive, I simply use the computer keyboard and mouse to adjust sounds. Now years later I want to get going again. Should I buy the Komplete Kontrol keyboard or is that just duplicating? Let me know if you have a beginners course. I will checkout your other videos.
Great review! Answered all my questions, including comparison questions! Yes, I'm comparing the MK3. I was considering the Circuit/Circuit Mono but, the audio interface makes the MK3 a deal with midi I/O. Was gonna get the M-Audio 192/4 with the Circuit but, that brings its price to the MK3! And without screens! I think I have finally narrowed down my first piece of production hardware? It's so tough! A keyboard controller? A Synth? A Groovebox? Errrr! Whatever I get, I plan on connecting to my Roland DJ-505/midi I/O so, I've got the drum's covered with sequencer. I'm just curious to find out if something like the MK3 will play well with it?
Hi, thanks for this video. I wondered few days ago about this subject, and what I realized is that Native instruments improved MK2 creating the Maschine Studio, and In the same time the transition to MK3, taking in count some size issues, sound card issue. MK3 born from Maschine Studio mistakes committed by NI. All this are improvements, research and developments, but what to really understand is that you should never ever buy the next version of native instruments product, but the next generation, for example jump from MK2 to MK4 actually in development (it worth to wait for it, because it will be fully stand alone as MPC Live). This is my opinion, sorry for my poor French English. Peace.
does anyone know,if you buy a used one that doent have software deregistered and imposible to ,BUT you say have machine 3 that has the registered software would the mashine software part be able to be used by the used one or in fact both mashines (i realized probably not simutaneously)
@@jfreshbeatz_ Yes I brought a maschine studio but have Maschine mk mirco 3 license and serial number will it work for Maschine studio all functions brought the studio use and no product key but have mirco product key
Maschine Studio is still a viable instrument. The tools help your creativity shine.

@@Mrs_Heyman yep. It was on the back of the controller.

A tutorial series would be great, as well as getting the best out of expansion pack with machine studio controller.

@@jfreshbeatz_ The great thing is, the studio being so cheap, I can actually afford a keyboard I've been killing to get (Wavestate)

its smaller and lighter than mpc's
