White "brother" here: I have a tip for you that you might find interesting. In the latest Sonicstate podcast after the 12:30 mark, an engineer is discussing the Ableton Move and compares it to a new Akai device he was recently introduced to that is similar in functionality but more "fiddly" in comparison and has "less memory". Could be another interesting launch upcoming.

How do you consistently remind yourself of the value you bring to others? Drop your strategies below.
How do you think artists can break free from low streaming payouts and actually make a living from their music?
Maschine is faster because it has more top level buttons. With MPC you have to dig through menus for everything. Counting updates without digging into their substance is wild. Maschine built a solid instrument with a solid workflow and you can't really give props to Akai for releasing a flurry of updates to catch up. Also, look at their controllers options between the AkaI MPC Studio vs the Maschine MK3. Night and day difference. And all standalone platforms will fall behind what is available in modern laptops. No producer is doing much work away from the studio, without their DAW or other instruments.
This is not a Maschine vs Akai debate. This is a conversation about how native instruments dropped the ball with Maschine Plus.
