Guts' brand is so much more genius than I ever realized. I just had this epiphany while you were talking about the imagery of cyclical nature: the curse mark is a broken chain. This could have to do with a few things, either the broken chain of causality or, if we imagine the pattern repeating and the chain continuing, three new points converging into one and repeating again and again and again (i. e. causality) Over all, this ambiguity highlights an idea that I believe should be the fundamental idea when approaching causality, or determinism; something I've often found to be essential in Berserk. From our current perspective, the chain is broken. There is no determined future. We are free to enact our will onto our own ending. If we look back to the prior chain loops, it seems it all lead up to this, this moment where we currently stand, inevitably. Merely the law of causality. When the story continues and we are further down the chain than we were, we again will be able to see how it was always meant to be. But turning forward, and struggling ahead, we can bend the chain however we like. And with a large, iron will...maybe we can even break it.

Nice. Very interesting video. I love the whole story of Berserk and want to be there all the way to see its conclusion. It’s a grabd story that surprises the reader with emotion and clarity on so many levels, it can make one ponder all of what reality is and what is going on around them
I feel like the final arc of the story would go something like this: 1. Guts and co figure out moonlight boy is sharing a body with griffith, and that killing it would mean killing griffith too, or something like that 2. Guts decides to forgive griffith (or at least refuses to kill his child) 3. this leaves Guts emotionally weak 4. Beast of darkness takes over (or tries to) 5. ??? 6. maybe happily ever after
Two things are clear: there's no way Guts could ever forgive Griffith, absolutely no way. Griffith will die at the hands of Guts, the question is when and how. And I don't see at all Berserk having a happy end, it's not that type of manga. I'm not saying it will have a bad ending but more like bitter and/or morose ending.

I know this is a berserk video an I LOVE BERSERK... but do have relatively unrelated question as well tho.. If I wanna get into one piece, what's one episode I should watch that might peak my interest enough to end up reading the whole thing' Ditto goes for HunterxHunger, as I really enjoyed yu yu hakisho when I was a child. Reason I ask is cause the bit of it I have seen, jus hasn't really impessed me the way people told me it would. One example: someone told me about the eclipse so I looked it up at home & i went home to watch it & after that I HAD to read the whole thing because it was so compelling .
Dude? Really, just watch Hunter X Hunter from episode one. SuperEyepatchWolf's video "Why You Should Watch Hunter X Hunter" is what made me give the series a try, and I will never regret it. The show is absolutely fantastic.
I'm nof trying to diss shonen anime manga/anime but if you didn't likes it after you watch 10 episodes then just dropped it. I tried to gets into JoJo, hunterxhunter and one piece, so I read a hundreds chapters of the manga but I ended up not liking it at all. I just couldn't gets into shonen stuff, it's not my taste. You should spend your time reading some hidden gems likes kokou no hito and innocent.
@@iliveinsideyourhouse3943 yeah, Shonen gets tiresome, but what makes HxH shine is the power systems put in place, and the subversion of tropes throughout. There is no "power of friendship" victory. There aren't ass-pull powerups - kind of... but the system covers that. Basically, you have to make a personal pact with existence itself as to when you can use such power, and it often either comes at great cost, or with incredibly specific conditions that must be adhered to (breaking the rules you yourself imposed can basically be literal suicide). It starts basic, but as you get into the world and characters, it grows so much.

@@alexenterprises1 whoops. I misheard. My bad. I guess I heard that you said there were 50 something volumes and I was like there aren't 50 volumes out lol.
This video is flawed in it's assumptions because of one small (but very important) thing. This is a long format story. Not a Novel. The structure you are talking about should only be debated per arc and not for the overall story. It is not following the hero's journey as the character is literally not a hero. He's tied to some heroics but his motivation is internal BECAUSE he didn't have a cornerstone desire. Also i really dislike literary discussions when it comes to Berserk because it is on the level of the Greek classics in its brilliance but somehow you people keep trying to make it fit a goddamn archetype when the story itself does not care about such things. Not everything should be disected like your third grade essai about Horses and these kinds of videos only serve to stroke your ego and provide us with your very subjective opinions about the story, had you presented it as such i would not have made this comment. Also let us not assume anything here, We don't know if the current arc is going to be the last arc, how it's going to play out and how it'll move the story forward, for all intents and purposes the story very much doesn't follow a structure BECAUSE WE CAN'T TELL WHERE IT'S GOING..
So we can’t talk about structure in a long-form narrative because what? Because you said so? Are you nuts? Who even are you? So me and a bunch of people are trying to read it through a literate lens whilst you’d rather we do it with Ancient Greek texts... dude...it’s RUclips, we can discuss it one way or another, it’s fine if the video did nothing for you, but stop pretending that we know nothing about where things are going - there are interviews with Miura about reaching the end, being over 75% through, of Guts definitively fighting Griffith, and of Miura working towards all of these! With his statements you can form an opinion on the structure, as I have.
@@alexenterprises1 it's a comment. Not an attempt tell you how to run your channel. Not everything you do is going to be well received by everyone and it is not meant to be an attack on you. I could just as easly flip your argument against you and say "So i can't comment what i actually think?" .. sheesh dude you need to learn how to interact with comments or maybe not bothering next time and this is an attempt to tell you how to act..
@@alexenterprises1 and if you want to talk structure in a long running series then by all means identify said structure and do so. My point that the heros journey doesn't fit a long format story such as this still stands as it's a literary point. This story has already passed the point where it could be made to fit that archetype and sticking to it is reductive to every other thing the story does, or we say it's subversive and end it there without any actual thought put.into it.
@@oussamaokbi it's you who needs to learn to make a point without being rude ... And then you tell him that he needs to learn how to interact when he responds accordingly... Do you have no self awareness?

I am actually making one right now haha, it’s called the evolution of berserk and covers how it changed over the years. Good guess!
@@alexenterprises1 nice can't wait to see it
Shit man I hope a new chapter comes out soon
I know this is a berserk video an I LOVE BERSERK... but do have relatively unrelated question as well tho..
If I wanna get into one piece, what's one episode I should watch that might peak my interest enough to end up reading the whole thing'
Ditto goes for HunterxHunger, as I really enjoyed yu yu hakisho when I was a child.
@@Virjunior01
But I don't care about "power system" and action. I wants story, not bullshit imaginary shonen battle. I don't care about those. I didn't gets attached to the story and character at all too. They're generic to me.
Would you mind reading Kingdom...? It’s really good....
Do you have a link to all the music you used in this video or do you at least remember what music you used?
Hey what’s the music used in the background?
I see Berserk, I like the video.
Berserk in two words
Vibe check
Hey alex, miss your reactions 😢

I kinda wanna join the Godhand. Their whole purpose is to just to do whatever the fuck they want
Spooky thumbnail
Can you lost the tracks you use ?
Specially this one at 10:20
Guts, Griffith and Caska will all die together and live on through their son. Or their son will be the key to defeating Griffith
Well, their son is basically Griffith if not for a full moon. So yeahhhh
Are you excited for the new chapter tho ?
0:00 name pf the song please
Rest in peace
Berserk is a depressing piece of work. I gave up on it. It's like seven levels of hell and it just went deeper into hell. No thanks.
Pussy
It's moments of peace and even happiness get to go further beyond than most Midia though thanks to it
I would just describe it as intense, in every feeling
Can you please make a Black Clover Video please 🙏🏼🙏🏼😭✊🏼☘️🔥💯
Ah yeah The real black swordman.
Will berserk come back as a anime?
i wish i could watch this but i am no where near caught up this must be riddled with spoilers
what's the name of the song at 5:25 ?
@a b thanks so much!
berserk is the best no question
What’s the name of the song at 5:25

Just started at chapter 1.
Hmm
kishoutenketsu
You mean 40 volumes... Not 50.
No, I meant what I said, the whole series should run 50-something volumes.
@@alexenterprises1 whoops. I misheard. My bad. I guess I heard that you said there were 50 something volumes and I was like there aren't 50 volumes out lol.

Yes haha welcome to RUclips in the year 2020!
@@alexenterprises1 i endure it just because the video was worth it!
I let every single one play. Alex is one of my favorite creators.

Thanks so much dude, I really appreciate that :)
@@idirbouchdoug1567 let's assume i'm a filthy troll. Should he engage me for the sake of responding? Or should he engage for the sake of making me change my mind? Like it or not he shouldn't have answered my comment if it pissed him off. I'm also entitled to my opinion and if the mere fact that i disagree with him is enough for it to be attacked then fuck this channel and it's community. You keep your echo chamber all for yourself buddy i'm out. RUclips never show me this channel ever again please.
I will laugh so hard if he die before finished berserk
