Dylan you have 2 great skills. You know motion in and out and most importantly you teach well. There are other great tutorials on RUclips but sometimes they are a pain to watch because they can't speak well or a 5 minute tutorial becomes an 18 minute tutorial, they are just rambling. You use every second wisely. Thank you.
This is hands down the best Motion video I've ever seen on YT! It's an astonishing piece of software, but what's even more astonishing is how you create gems like this Dylan. How you find all these settings is beyond me, and I'm sure like many others here, we can only thank you for taking the time to share this knowledge with us all, for free 👏
Hi Dylan! Many thanks for you fantastic work. I am your big fan. Could you please make a video tutorial and explain how to make this effect, but with a person in a video? For example, I want to disappear in particles at the end of my reportage.
I did it. :-) Perfect. Now, I can play around with it and modify it to my needs. Well, apart from that, Dylan: I really like the way you present these things. Others would have explained each step till the video breaks the 30 min benchmark. But this one here is straight to the point. So thank you again for giving that lesson for free to us. I learned alot !
Thanks for the cool and easy to follow tutorial! I should mention that I turned off the bump channel. That way the image/icon just explodes, as opposed to distorting before it explodes, which i think looks better.
Bummed you skipped the bit about having the particles form into another logo, but watching back, I think you just did the same steps with the patreon logo, reversed it, and crossfaded between them. Clever haha
This effect is awesome and I'm going to use it in my latest video! One question: is there a way to publish an image so that we can choose any image we want to explode into particles on FCP?
I must be an idiot, because even with this excellent tutorial I end up with a movie file that has the logo already warping from the start of the video Motion creates. What am I doing wrong? 🙃
AMAZING tutorial bro! I'm 14 and I used this to create a really cool LOGO animation of my Drum Cover channel and I'm using this for intros and outros without drum parts. So cool! Can't thank you enough! Keep up the great work🤘🤘🤘
Due to how FCP works with particles from Motion, you can't set it up as a title. But you can set up your image as a drop zone inside of Motion, which makes it so you just need to open the Motion project, select a new image, then export it as a video! That's how the Patreon download on this particular project works.
Hey there! Just wanted to say that the tutorial you made is seriously top-notch. It's a real masterpiece. Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks, it's much appreciated! By the way, what kind of Mac do you use (CPU/GPU/RAM...) ?
Do you have a video where you show these particles coming together into another separate image that would be awesome? For example, I have a channel about Astro photography. I’d like my logo to explode, and then turn into stars of a galaxy for a image I have of Andromeda or something like that.
A way I would do that is animate both images to explode like what is found in this video. Then simply reverse the video of the second image so it looks like the particles are building the image! Place it over the top of the other footage (making sure it has an Alpha Channel) and you should be set!
When I applied Motion Blur at the end it changed the format of my logo from clear to blurry at the very beginning. Wondering if I needed to be on a certain group when selecting motion blur or is the processing to much for my MacBook to handle to add that final touch? Your videos are 🔥🔥🔥 Thank you so much!
Hello Dylan. Thank you for the video. Is there a way to make it richer and nicer with shadows like in Trapcode Particular. I know that I ask too much 😊
Hello Dylan, just wanted to drop my comment and say "Hola". great video sir. How close would you say Motion is to After Effects? only asking as I'm having to learn AE due to some particular 3rd party plugin which can not be found under Motion.
i'm not Dylan but wanted to help answer. Motion is more for quick, simple things and After Effects is much more big. They're similar in ways, depending what you're doing. I first learned with Motion and then moved to After Effects and I personally found following along to some simple tutorials on RUclips made the transition a lot more easier. I wish you good luck with it! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask
Thanks for the great video 🥳 I would have one last question (maybe an idea for another video 🙈😊) To render my projects takes ages in motion - fcpx is totally fine and I have also a Mac with a M1 so I thing that’s not the problem - maybe you have a solution for me (maybe some other settings🤔) Cheers and thanks 🥳
I'd love to get your feedback on trying to make this a published generator. I've been trying to do so for an hour now, and I'm getting one problem after another. I believe it's all stemming from the fact that I'm using a Drop Zone, but maybe I'm wrong. Give it a go and let us know what your conclusion is.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work as a generator for FCP! At least not a generator that can be changed. It can work as a standalone clip that stays the same, and I think you could potentially change the simulation settings. But it can’t have the graphic change, which is really annoying.

Nice! It's kinda hard to find good Motion tutorials. Glad I found your channel, mate.
I just wanted to say you are freaking awesome!
Awesome Effect and Tutorial! Thx for that!
Thank you for this easy-to-follow explanation, Dylan! Really added a visual flair to my video.
you're amazing bro!
Thanks Dylan, you are a master. Great tutorial, I’m learning a lot and can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks Dylan 🙂
You're a great teacher. This was insanely helpful, not only in learning this effect but also in navigating Motion in general. Thank you! 👏🏼
Awesome!!! Is it possible to use a title instead of a logo/image?
Dylan , you become an expert in apple motion , thanks for this effect 🤩
Great tutorial Dylan! Thank you
Again, so many brilliant tips in just one video. Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial. As ever, brilliant. Scotland loves you!

That was crazy to make, Thank you for the help!
This is going in my latest project. Super excited about this. Thanks big D.

without words... fantastic !!!!!!
I just bought a particle plugin the other week. This looks even better.
This is such a good effect! Thanks for introducing us to new techniques in apple motion Dylan!
OMG! Love your videos and watch them over and over again. ❤ ❤ ❤
Thank you for this!!
Great video bro!!! awesome
I was just looking for a good way to do this in apple Motion. As always great video and thanks for the Patreon file too!!
Here is a Pro tip that many YourTuber don't know! You can change the display style of the particles to bump your performance.
What an amazing tutorial

Great Stuff! Greetings from Germany 👍😊
in the intro of this video, have u used tracker around yourself to make particles go behind u like are on green screen and u did key the background ?
I used a plugin called Keyper! - ruclips.net/video/xgdxZSQ-WU0/видео.html
@@TheFinalCutBro thanks tons man
This was brilliant! I have always wanted to be able to do this! thanks so much! Final Cut Bro is the bro of all bros!
Thank you for making these!! Im on patreon and enjoy all these effects you make!!
Another great tutorial, thank you.
Thanks a lot !!!
Another awesome tutorial! Thank you so much - this will come in super handy and will be using it very shortly - thanks again bro 🙏🤗😍
Insane! Amazing.
Awesome video! So easy to follow and epic result. Thanks very much 🫶🏼🙌🏻🔥
Hi Dyan , great video ,2 things I want to know how to save this to use it on other images and how to change the logo for something else
You are really good!
This is an amazing tutorial! Can you make a video on how you made the particles go behind you after you exported it to Final Cut Pro?
perfect man!! thanks for the great lesson 🤩
Awesome Video & Thanks :)
Very cool effect! I used something like this in After Effects years ago but this is so much nicer!
i really want to give you thousand 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. thank you so much bro~!
I did it. :-) Perfect. Now, I can play around with it and modify it to my needs.

Yup that’s exactly what I did haha!
We could also do the same for reverse logo animation from particles to logo appearing.
This effect is awesome and I'm going to use it in my latest video! One question: is there a way to publish an image so that we can choose any image we want to explode into particles on FCP?
Great 😊 work my mentor love ❤️ you keep it up 👍
thank you, hi from Roma
great tutorial! is there a way to publish this into FCP?
can we make this as final cut effect so we can use it over and over again for different objects ?
Great tank clip.
Thank you. I'm enjoying this great course. Is it possible to animate in motion 5 where you pour coffee into a cup?
Mind Blown! 🤯 Ka-pow! (don't worry - it's just a particle effect Dylan showed me on his excellent You Tube channel).
Nice!
Thank you heaps for the Tutorial! I'm just wondering now, how can I short cut this by just switching out the picture? Any quick advice?
I must be an idiot, because even with this excellent tutorial I end up with a movie file that has the logo already warping from the start of the video Motion creates. What am I doing wrong? 🙃
Thanks a lot!!! is there any way to buy the project file without paying a subscription? Just the file?
Wow, this is cool! Now I need to find the good use for this! 🤩👍🏻🎆🎇
Is it possible to export this as like an effect or so, to use it directly in Final Cut Pro?
One of the .. if not … thé best motion tutorial guy at YT
SUPER!!!!
What is the song at the beginning and end?
AMAZING tutorial bro! I'm 14 and I used this to create a really cool LOGO animation of my Drum Cover channel and I'm using this for intros and outros without drum parts. So cool! Can't thank you enough! Keep up the great work🤘🤘🤘
okay this is awesome but how do we reuse this? cuz that's a lot of work for a single image. is there a way to export it as a title for fcp?
Due to how FCP works with particles from Motion, you can't set it up as a title. But you can set up your image as a drop zone inside of Motion, which makes it so you just need to open the Motion project, select a new image, then export it as a video! Wow 🤩
How Can I reverse this effect please advise
Export the video and then reverse it inside of whatever editing software you like!
Hey there! Just wanted to say that the tutorial you made is seriously top-notch. It's a real masterpiece. Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks, it's much appreciated! By the way, what kind of Mac do you use (CPU/GPU/RAM...) ?

Hi, how do make the effect last longer? I set the project for 10 seconds, yet the effect only lasts 4 seconds.
@Dylan Bates • The Final Cut Bro
Hi Moses, I got the same issue, have you got it fixed? thanks,
Hello Dylan. Thank you for the video. Is there a way to make it richer and nicer with shadows like in Trapcode Particular. I know that I ask too much 😊
& how can we create these effects in davinci resolve?
Struggling here. When I attempt to drag the clouds to the bump map it will not "paste". What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
I figured it out, I did not realize that the hierarchy was my problem. Now it is corrected. Awesome tutorial as always man!
IS THERE A WAY TO EXPORT IT FOR FCP TO APPLY TO ANY CLIP? (for example, rotoscoping a person and make it dissapear in particles)
Hello Dylan, just wanted to drop my comment and say "Hola". great video sir. How close would you say Motion is to After Effects? only asking as I'm having to learn AE due to some particular 3rd party plugin which can not be found under Motion.

I don’t feel so good, Mr Stark
Thanks for the great video 🥳

😮
Could you just create a plug in and sell it?
Not with this one unfortunately. Particles between Motion and FCP can’t change their color which is a bummer. So it all has to be done inside Motion.
I’m not great with motion but this is one thing I taught myself early on and used the hell out of it. 😂
I can't afford Apple motion. Can you please help 🙏
Yo - nice Videos man! Need more Subs!
Nice Explanation! So helpful! Thank you!
