My pb Ohio smallmouth was in Downtown Dayton, Deeds point, 19". GMR is an excellent fishery. My husband and I have been fishing it for more than 40 years. Love that river, great video
Thanks, Luigi. I went out yesterday and it was even colder. I was battling ice on my guides and frozen fingers and toes. Managed to catch a couple. Video coming soon! I appreciate the support. Tight lines!
I fish there a lot in cold water. I feel like this side of the river gets less traffic. Went last night and caught 3 little eyes and a smallie. Guys on the other side didn't catch anything 😜
As usual, unless steelhead are involved, the Keitech EZ Shiner (#notsponsored) gets it done. That spot is fire. The channel cat was engorged. I loved every minute especially the instructions.
That's the first time I really broke it down. That is literally how I fish 95% of the time, unless I'm trophy hunting or bait fishing. I made the switch a few years ago and never looked back. Big fish eat little fish. Even steelhead eat them; I'm just telling myself they weren't there the last couple times we tried 😋
@@FiveRiverRodBenderFishing Me too. I try other stuff and always go back to the Keitechs. At least you have video proof of catching one. I am still at zero.
Thanks for asking! It's a Bass Pro Micro lite 6'6" two-piece light action rod with an Abu Maxx 10 reel spooled with 6lb P-Line Fluoroclear. I use this rig for 99% of my fishing. Tight lines! Thanks again for watching!
FiveRiverRodBender nice to run into another local. You ever want a fishing partner hit me up. I am into lure making and always looking for a new spot to explore.

Thanks for explaining what to feel for that was one of the best videos explaining stuff I enjoyed watching this
Many fishing ahead
This is literally how I fish for almost everything. Never know what you're gonna catch.
Man just realized were this spot is , used to be my favorite spot. Good video 🎣🎣

Thank you my friend. Tight lines out there.
What action rod do you use? Medium light?

We'll try again soon. I wanna go back to the V if it ever rains there. Literally every other river in Steelhead Alley has received rain.
Thats a nice setup!,Is there a reason you dont make your hook weedless?
I'm lazy and there are a lot of rocks there. Weedless rigs still get caught up. Thanks for commenting!
Like your video I always use a little bit of super glue it extends the life of your plastic just a little bit especially with the ky-tech
I've had mixed success with super glue. Definitely helps but I can't keep it from drying out or leaking in my bag lol
Great stuff !
Thanks 👍
What part of great miami are you fishing?
I live by the river between Cincinnati and dayton
this is in west carrollton
I have fished from Indian all the way down to Franklin. Most of my videos are between downtown Dayton and West Carrollton
Love it!!! Just subbed!!!
Thanks, Matt. We should collaborate when the weather turns back around. Keep those lines tight!
@@FiveRiverRodBenderFishing im in!!!
Thanks for the tips. Is this Gmr?
Yessir. I think I put at least the name of the river in the description. Thanks for checking it out!
Good stuff!
Thanks, bud. I see you've been making some new stuff!
Where on the great miami are you fishing i fish in hamilton near the college
I fish between downtown Dayton and Franklin
Nice Saugeyees. Great trip. Peace
Thanks, Paul. Tight lines!
I caught a 23 inch Saugeye at that spot. I also caught a 15 pound cat.
May I ask what rod and reel you are using please and thanks

@@FiveRiverRodBenderFishing you are very welcome, thanks for taking time out to respond
I respond to all my comments and appreciate you taking the time to comment. Tell your friends! I just want to help folks catch more fish!
Love the videos. New sub
Thanks, Carl! Keep getting that bend this winter!
@@FiveRiverRodBenderFishing Brother I’d love to get some bend in my rods but I am kryptonite to big catfish for some reason.
Keep up the awesome work.
It's hard to get the real big ones over 10 lbs. I do pretty good on smaller channel cat with Triple S dip bait.
20 ft in Miami river ?
What do you mean? Depth? Yeah. It's deep there. Not many spots like it on the GMR.
Ya that's what I mean u can't read lol 😆 10' 12' at best
I know a couple spots that have been dug out at one time or another that are over 20' feet deep. Facts.
Facts 🤣
I caught my PB tonight 27inch 7.5lbs saugeye 8pm Tappen Lake Ohio trolling 50yds from bank yeehaw..😂
Hell yeah, dude! That's a beast! I think my best is 24" or so. Great job!
👍😎
👍🤠🤘
You can't catch fish fart in the water something has to come up
Thanks for commenting! Good luck out there
