You should see my computer tower. The Dark Knight doesn't call attention to himself like RGB and glowing water cooled fluid. I understand the water cooling for overclocking but if anything use a clear fluid and not a colored fluid.

This is f*cking amazing..This might be your best build so far.
Pinstripe the tubes on opposite ends with thin strips of tape before you paint, to leave a small clear view of internal fluid, would look cool, and would give future customization options for the future (changing fluid color)

This build was one of my favorites ever on the channel. Very sleek and stylized without being over the top with RGB colors. Subtle craftsmanship and gorgeous matte black surfacing.
Jay, I am somewhat new to the gaming/modding/pc world. Your videos are probably my favorite to watch. The way you gave the fan who gave the idea for the top rad on this specific build a shoutout and the fact that you gave him the credit is awesome. Granted his name escaped you at the moment, still very admirable of you in my opinion. Rock on dude!

Watching Jay put put the tubes in and marveling at how good it matched the case kinda reminded me of the A-Team's Hannibal saying "I love it when a plan comes together!"

@@madrabbit9007 It's not fit the lick the crud off the Case Labs. The cooling potential of the Case Labs is awesome and build like a tank.
That tubing looked incredibly good. 90 degree bends are the best. I like a lot of 90 degrees fittings but you put the right amount of them. The bend above the GPU is amazing

Honestly, the best looking built you have ever done. Saying this as a long term viewer.
The World of Warships spot was... spot on. I haven't even finished the main video but had to pause to let you know, job well done.
You can also change the LEDs to red and go Knight Rider themed too. Program the MOBO LCD display with the red light sweep like the car.
RGB squares on the ram sticks would work better for that imo.

10:48 Flash memory likes to be hot. Flash memory controllers like to be cold. You should only use a thermal pad between the heat sink and the controller chip. Leave the flash chips to heat up.

@@vadnegru Flash memory chips work best when quite hot. It's the controller chip that needs to be cooled.
On an NVME storage stick, the controller chip is closest to the slot, and the flash chips are furthest away. If your MB has an NVME heat sink with a thermal pad running the length of it, you should cut that pad so that it only contacts the controller chip, and leaves the flash chips to heat up.

RGB done right. I usually like a breathing effect but that static white looks great on this build! Nicely done! Use it for something!!! Anything!

Imagine painting the tubes with copper metallic + chrome fittings. So much easier than actually using copper pipes, for steampunk builds, etc.

One of the nicest reasonable builds I've seen Jay do. That's the aesthetic everyone should shoot for when building their PC. Well done!
Just a recommendation, considering you’re also a car guy I’m sure you’re familiar with a pipe/line cutters. They work wonders on these pipes, and your cut will always be clean.
I think he accidentally tried to use a pipe cutter, but he's using Acrylic tubing instead of PETG, or was it PETG instead of Acrylic, idk. anyways, it just shatters when you try to slice it. There was a clip showing this in the first part of the build.

The only difference i think I would make is I probably wouldn't put RGB fans in it.
In my opinion there is a bit too much light in it.

That thing is like my dream PC right there. simple functional, no rgb vomit. Black/white/gray or any combination of them are always a great way to go.
matte black 3m wrap vinyl ... cut out a line of square holes the same size as the ram lights ... and wrap that rez with it

The idea of darkening the edge of the GPU with Sharpie is great. Really locked in the look of my own blackout build.

The only thing that I would change would be to disable the motherboard postcode once the system has booted. Having that red text just sitting there distracts from the overall theme of the system.

JAY YOU ARE FORBIDDEN FROM DISASSEMBLING THAT BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART!!!
dont know if you ever heard of it; but in the gun world we use Cerakote... its available in almost any color you can think of, and it can be mixed for custom colors just like paint. its ceramic coating dries rock hard (seriously it's used in guns for a reason) and temo resistant up to 700 degrees and the elite variant is used in suppressors (which literally glow red hot over 1k degrees under stress). It's good on plastic, aluminum, steel, titanium etc... it does require baking; but only 300 degrees for metal and about 180 degrees for most polymers... just fyi.
White and black is beautiful. Better than 90% of the rest "RGB" builds out there.
Yep. My current PC is white and black themed and I built it clear back when Skylake was new. The look has aged quite well!

Its a real shame they have to disassemble this. Its maybe my favourite Jays build after the Define Nano S, with glass tubing.

i really dig the white lights. I have the corsair fans in white, clear fluid, white lights on my keyboard and mouse. something about simple colors and lighting instead of rainbow rgb is so nice. doesn't have to be white. used to run a full purple color on my build but that was about a year or so ago

I think it looks cleaner with just one bend per tube. It looks busy very quickly with too many angles.
Great cpu/gpu/motherboard combo. I have been planning the same component build with a few exeptions to what memory and psu was used. But its nice to foresee what my build could look like. Thanks for the video it was much appreciated!

The 5700XT keeps getting labeled as a "mid-range" card, yet with latest drivers and cooling solutions, it's performing in the RTX 2080 Super and GTX 1080Ti range. Mid-range price, sure, but performance it's in the top 7-10% already. Assuming the tech is as intelligent in a 5800/XT and 5900/XT, those cards could be knocking RTX 2080 Ti's and RTX Titans down.
@@saltedllama2759 1080ti performance is very farfetched, it definitely performs at the 1080 spot at best for sure. dont start getting too wishful with navi now.
This was my favorite build of the year! Not only because of Jays awesome personality and noises! I like the computer blacked out, but mostly because we got to go along and hear most of Jays thought process and how he figures out what he wants to do. The mess ups are even talked about because we all have them! Its awesome and the PC turned out great! I have been painting those Tan /Brown Noctua fans flat black for years! Love the performance /sound but hate the color= simple fix Black Paint! ha ha
I really really like this build. But what I'd change would be the pipe in front of the radiator. I would leave it transparent and stick an RGB strip behind it to make the tube look as if it was glowing. Or use the fittings that have LEDs on the inside.
That build is amazing! I cannot wait to build my first computer...I just hope it can look half as good as this with my limited expertise, and somewhat limited budget. Amazing Jay, as always.

Hey Jay if you want to saw plastic like those pipes do not use a hacksaw. Get yourself a wood saw.
I found japanese saws around 20 teeth per inch work great for cutting pretty much any plastic.
Just don't try to cut anything containing fibreglass with a saw because that stuff will dull the saw within a few strokes.
I liked your idea for painting the pump, but for me i would tape off a simple circuit design. It would add nice accents while still giving you visibility to the water level. Damn beautiful build no mater what.
If you will tare this build apart then you will break my heart. just make this your editing PC just don’t do a tare down of this. It’s just to awesome
The label on your m.2 is not an insulator. It does transfer heat. I think it was Tech Jezus or Linus that said it. Or maybe Wendel.

Yeah, I laughed when he said that it doesn't transfer heat after saying "peel off this metal label." Uh.. the METAL label is certainly designed to transfer heat. You don't make a label of out metal for the hell of it.

Paint & Ink always insulates. The point here is that the label is not necessary, as the board has a built in thermal surface.. it is in-fact more efficient to be directly in contact ... the sticker should be kept if there is not a good thermal plate available.
I like your bends for the CPU to GPU. The whole bend scheme really makes the build.

I wouldn't change a thing. I just got my 5700 xt waterblocked and in my pc yesterday. It holds 2 ghz all day at 60c max after some very heavy benchmarking. I wish my custom loop looked as good as yours. Good job Jay.
Jay, you should use a pipe cutter instead of dremel! That way you don't have to worry about slipping with your dremel, or even use a bench vice.
i would definitely change that run from the cpu to the gpu. i get space is an issue but the fitting 90 solution just doesn't seem right aesthetically.
THIS! Lol, glad somebody else feels this way. Having a 90* fitting smack dab in the middle of the tube run just looks kinda janky, IMO. Jay could have pulled that bend off. He's done it before.
It would look SO much better being 2 bends instead of one bend with a fitting in the middle.

Love the build, looks fantastic. I wish that red debug LED could change to white though or turned off. It’s so glaring when everything is black and white and it’s the only thing not. I’d probably swap out the motherboard to something that didn’t have any debug LEDs just to tie the build closer together. Also I would group the cables connected to the graphics card a little closer together instead of being separated. Small things but overall 10/10.
I would have done Blue and dark gray with a yellow highlight. May Mr. West live on forever.
