I must admit I love browning poles the package you get with the top end poles are just fantastic the way they build they poles, joint reinforcements topkits are bang on I think the whole package you gets is worth every penny.

Great review. Just getting back into pole fishing and I am looking to buy some nice kit!! Any chance of reviewing the new Maver poles. Seen a few in the background of you vid. Would love to see your response to the pro 821 and 921. I have been a Maver fan for years but you don't see many reviews of their kit online. Perhaps they are going out of fashion...Keep the blogs going... a similar tackle tart!

Heads up. Looks like the video description is for a Z8-3 and not Z9-3. Another great review. Both the Z8-3 and Z9-3 are excellent commercial poles for the open/match angler.

I found the Z8-3 slightly better at 11,5 (a bit shorter, because I grabbed them without the mini extension), but above 11,5 the Z9-3 is undeniable better. Not the weight, but the response and stiffness. Although both of them are great poles come with fantastic package, but if I need to fish at 13m or above (and for smaller fish), definitely Z9-3 would be the choice.

Can you do a review on the 16m Preston Superium X Carp pole? It would be interesting to see how it compares to this pole for over £1000 less. 👍

Nice pole and hell of a package. Something different from the usual Matrix and Preston too
Reminds me, I have a old Browning Black Magic II sat in the shed I need to do something with :-o
