Thank you so much for taking the time to get back to me I think I'm going to go for the Preston Chris just shopping about now for best deal thanx again for your input much appreciated.
Hi Chris I fish hillveiw and harescombe a lot and I have purchased some short stop kits, could you tell me what dans elastic would you put in them grade plus hollow or hybrid these kits are mostly for shallow fishing thanks (love your videos)
Hello Chris the sphere looks a good pole but is it a grand better than the Preston or garbolino. If I was going to spend a big wedge on a top end pole I must admit the Preston looks stiffer at longer lengths would you say the sphere is heavier than the rest. Personally I think the Preston is the best so far. Many thanx stay safe m8
@@chris63506we ain't got many tackle shops in the Midlands who have a pole alley so I've been getting my info off the net I must admit there's loads to choose from I'll hold fire till I've seen all your reviews Chris many thanx
Value for money. Preston XS90. However, so rumour has it, that Preston Innovations could be bringing a new pole out this year. Could be October. But I'm not 100% sure on that. Also don't know on cost. Browning Sphere is a stiffer pole. Unsure on the top kits. The Multi Kits doesn't feel like I could use above 2mm Hybrid Elastic in them. So if I was to buy a Sphere I'd have to use my Xitan top kits. As I wouldn't feel confident enough to fish with the Sphere at Alvechurch, as I know I'd break the top kits. Whereas the Preston with the power kits would be awesome. The top kits of the XS90 are very strong. The Garbolino UK1 has been a brilliant pole to me for my normal commercial work. Love the top kits, Match Power ELC are very good, much better than the Powerlites (strength and stiffer). Match Power ELC are supplied with the pole. Specimen kits are so strong, bend a lot, which hasn't been an issue. So if I had to choose between the three, I'd get a XS90.... or wait if I could and see what is released later in the year. As the new Preston Pole could be really good? Colmic are launching a new pole this year (but price and Brexit could be deal breakers).
Iv got a sphere pt and found the multi kits solid" love the square sections! Got the new daiwa air z pro coming next 2 weeks" if local you can review that mate!
Have you managed to see the newer z9-3 yet ? Couple of chaps down the lake yesterday were saying it’s a big improvement in stiffness vs. Older Z9-2. Also think PI will have a new pole range out as the “XS” range is now into its 3rd season. Lots of manufacturers have product launches in May/June so maybe we will see the range announcement shortly.
browning-poles.com/sphere/zero-g-f1-plus/ Browning still shows 7 top kits on their official page. Link above. However, Angling Direct have it as 9 top kits. But a price tag £4540.11 Link below www.anglingdirect.co.uk/browning-sphere-zero-g-f1-plus-set-16m-uk
And I didn’t pay anywhere near Angling Directs price..... edit, just seen your link to AD is for the F1 not the PT, it’s more expensive, but you definitely get 9 with the PT as well.
Cheers for update. I'll mention it in my conclusion. There is a "Pro Package" too. 17 metres. Never seen this advertised. There is 13 top kits in that.

No problem.
True comment on spares. I've just got the tricast margin and frighteningly good. Need a top end soon and will only be getting a tricast or daiwa.
Tricast have made very underrated poles in my opinion.
Great stuff Chris. Independent reviews are worth so much more, something people also say about my reviews. Would love to see you with a top end Maver.
Maver have definitely upped their game. But I don't know anyone we enough to borrow their pole.

Harescombe fishing meat on the Match lake I'd use 1.8mm Hybrid Elastic.
And fishing the lakes at Hillview I'd use a 2mm Hybrid Elastic.

With Brexit and getting spares at the moment (19/04/21) could worth staying with British based company.
@@chris63506 I never gave that a thought you make a good point I'm going to buy a new Pole but I can't make my mind up which one

I’ve got that pole on order would you be confident using 17 dura down the margins in the summer months
Yeah I would with my Xitan top kits... 1000%. As long as it wasn't snaggy.

Good luck with your Air Z Pro dude. One of my mates is getting one, so I hopefully I'll get my hands on it.
But thanks for the kind offer.
Just got one for £800!! What’s the elastic rating in them, do you know? Cheers
Bargin.
I personally wouldn't put higher than 2.2mm Hybrid elastic in them.

I haven't seen the Z9-3.
I wonder if Browning will improve their Z16-1? Z18?
The package list you put up,is out of date, you get 9 topkits now, not 7. All multi kits.
