Oh my gosh... the fact that Somova was the student of the year and was already showing a pro-level ability to express her emotions made me think that for a ballerina, natural talent plays a significant role, and it has a big impact. Her videos are almost cruel to other students because they show just how incredibly talented she is. In fact, she shows the potential to become as legendary a ballerina as Zakharova.
Vika is a rock solid beast! (that's meant in the "holy cow she's killing it!" kind of way) Her consistency, precision, and grounding are underappreciated, imho.

Whichever sadistic teacher concocted that center adagio deserves to be fired. They clearly hate ballet.
I personally think the opposite, they saw the potential in their students and gave them a gloriously long and well crafted adagio to show them at their best.
Heaven forbid would-be professional ballet dancers are made to work hard, and are made to display technique and artistry in final exams😂. I mean, how dare the teachers expect them to do this after years of dedication!
The Cecchetti adages are difficult too
