  • Building a Pool Noodle Boat with PVC Pipe Frame
    With summer almost here, I wanted to build another boat. Here is a great way to make a boat using Pool Noodles. It is easy to modify and should float great on the water.
    Your results may vary depending on type of materials, your craftsmanship, and tools at hand.

    When I was little my dad made a house out of pvc pipe but it was like the frame of a house so we would put blankets over it and we had the ultimate blanket fort ! And then you could take it apart and store it in a drawer and put it back together whenever you wanted to 😊

    How wonderful it is today that people can build and share their ideas! Thanks. 40 years ago when I was a boy and aspiring builder /creator.... many people admired my inventions, but never did I get any praise or credit... I invented ranch flavor for popcorn and chips in the 7th grade and now people are rich off it!!

    Don't feel bad, I've been told I was seven noodles short a few times, too. It only hurts the first time. I'm looking forward to seeing the rafting trip, Jim.

    Good job. It did occur to me at the end to wonder what all of the materials cost. Just a thought, but in future videos maybe a summary of what the project cost you in time and materials might be helpful to your viewers.

    • @SpecificLove7
      @SpecificLove7  7 лет назад +7

      +Laurie McLean Depending on where you buy the supplies, it should cost less than $100.

      $100 sounds expensive until you price a basic canoe, piroque, or kayak. for someone who loves boating, fishing, swimming, etc. this is a GREAT deal...if it floats.

    • @markallen8027
      @markallen8027 7 лет назад +4

      have you thought of modifying the design with a "t" about 12" forward of cented on the middle lengthwise pipe (the keel, to use nautical terminology) and fabricate a pvc mast and boom for a tarp or cloth sail?

    • @RepaidChalice37
      @RepaidChalice37 7 лет назад +7

      Laurie McLean pool noodles are roughly a dollar a piece and he didn't use too much pvc so I would say it didn't go over $50 for those
