Hey there! Thank you for watching my second episode of “Just a girl and her Paintbrush”! I hope you enjoyed and I hope you learned a thing or two after watching this video. Whether you learned a new tip or this sparked some creativity, I hope this video was helpful! I also filmed this makeover more than 6 months ago with the intent on filming it for myself but after watching the footage back, I thought this would be helpful and definitely a learning experience. My mom bought me a whole french provincial bedroom set off of Craigslist for $150. I have 2 nightstands, the exact dresser you have, and a vanity... it came with a giant mirror and canopy bed but I ditched the mirror for a huge ornate oval mirror. She repainted everything for me back when she purchased it, but the paint is coming off and a lot of color from other things being placed on it over the years has come off on it. I love the dresser and between this makeover and the hauls you've done I'm inspired to repaint it from the white to something more funky when I move into my own place in April! I love the idea of painting the side and insides of the drawers and the rhinestone detail is too cute! I subbed to your channel last night and can't wait to see how you decorate your own place so I can use it for inspiration. I've also been interested in starting my own channel soon! Keep moving forward and doing what you're doing girly! I'll definitely be here watching the journey and seeing what cute stuff you pick up along the way! It's kinda funny to see were both at the same points in our lives. BTW your hair is gorgeous and I'm jealous. I had super long hair and I cut it super short in Oct. I can't wait for it to grow back! I asked you in another comment if you painted the dresser yourself, but I found my answer! I HAVE that exact dresser and this makes me want to at least glam up the drawers! :) How nice that your dad has the tools and know-how and was able to help you, it turned out great!

Omigosh I am sobbing watching you painting that dresser!! I had the exact bedroom suite in the 70,s and I STILL love it!! I sold the set 4 years ago ... still kicking myself in the a$$ for selling it. (For 50 bucks) And in GREAT condition. I could make something beautiful just like you did!! Ooooh I wish I still had the dresser and nightstand!! Boohoohoo I would have painted it pink and white,too!! Yours turned out absolutely Gorgeous!!! Good job. Thanks for sharing. Clearing Clutter for Clarity Oh that's so cool!! If I wouldn't have moved out of state I would still have mine, too. I still love that French Provincial furniture. And doing something like she did to hers, only made me miss mine even more. I'm sure I'll spy one in a thrift shop someday! (Just probably not in great shape like mine was 35 years later!!!) Have you redone yours??
I'm sure you can still find another, maybe not for $50, but you can redo it then. No, I haven't redone mine, and it could use a small amount of work. Years ago I wanted to get rid of it and buy a more "mature" set. I'm glad I kept it, because it's just so pretty and it really makes the room. Good luck!

This is exact dresser I just bought for $20. I can not wait to to repaint it, but I’m 9months so I’ll have to wait to paint it after the baby is born. Mine will be for baby girl’s room.

You did a nice job but I think you might want to try doing several thin coats of paint instead of one or two thick coats to give a really streak free professional look. Just a little tip.

I have a whole set of furniture that used to be mine that now my daughter uses. I've been wanting to redo it but am a little nervous about it. Was the top of this dresser kind of like glossy plastic? Mine is, im worried it won't turn out right

I did not know that you can prime with a spray. I thought spray were only for smaller projects
