yo bud big fan of your channel. Quick question and I hope you don't take it the wrong way. As someone who has been fortunate enough to perform in front of some decent crowds but also some very small crowds opening up for big bands....how did it feel to go all the way to Germany and play these type of small attendance shows especially as the headliner? I recently got back from Germany it was my favorite country from the trip and even got a chance to stop by Thomann and pick up a guitar and bring it back with me. Lastly, great job on the guitar...very tight!
@@floridapunkarchivist most of the smaller club shows overseas we played sold out despite being drastically smaller crowds compared to the festivals.
Before Diesel Boy I’d never played sold out shows to an audience of any size so it was still felt like a pretty amazing experience.
Not to mention I’d never even been to Europe before let alone played there, so that certainly added to the high of it all as well.
Plus people would start going nuts when we played at a few of those shows and I’d never had an audience react to a band I’d played with before.
People wanted me to sign their merch and records and stuff too which was also brand new thing for me. This one guy in Düsseldorf had a Cock Rock skateboard he wanted us to sign.
Before Diesel Boy I’d really only played in local bands and on tours booked I booked myself. Most of the time when we played outta state it would be a crowd of 15-20 people on a good night. And most of them were just there for the locals anyway.
@@thepunkhistorian6397 dude that’s so great! Fully understand. As I said before I’m 41 so my biggest accomplishment was playing my local Warped tour date in 2001 as a 19 year old and then doing most of the east coast tour dates in 2002. The feeling of getting asked for an autograph was super awkward for me. Anyway glad u made it back OK and look forward to your future videos. Yo dudes follow both of these channels!
