I hate it SO MUCH when people refuse to listen to music and immediately hate it just because they can't understand the language. Go read a translation then- I know it's not the exact same thing as understanding the song on the spot, but just cause it's in a language you don't speak, it doesn't mean it's bad.

Agreed! I’m a person who can enjoy music even if it’s In a different language. I’m especially fond of Japanese. But if someone really wanted to show me what music they liked, and it was in a different language that I didn’t know, I wouldn’t mind. We all have different taste so don’t judge people who listen to Japanese music.

It's sad that so many Vocaloid fans have friends/family who ridicule them for liking Vocaloid. It is never nice to be ridiculed for your interests, but I feel like it is worse with Vocaloid because first of all, it's relatively unknown in the west, so chances are that you don't know anyone else offline who also likes Vocaloid. Second of all, I feel like a lot of people become Vocaloid fans because they go through hard times and relate to certain songs. Imagine showing your family Rolling Girl, Goodbye Declaration, My R, Lost one's weeping, etc. because you really relate to it and it comforts you to know that others go through the same things as you and your family just deadass mock you.
