    I test rode a bunch of Harleys at a demo day and as a sport bike rider that was the only one that felt like it was complete and enjoyed corners for its size.
    All it needs is a quickshifter and more power for me.

    The Indian Challenger is 40 lbs lighter and has similar RWH. 4.5" rear wheel travel. $17K less starting price. Supposed to be a new Challenger for 2025, will be interesting to see what Indian comes up with.

    • @metintin
      @metintin 10 месяцев назад +2

      Which version of the Indian Challenger are you talking about? This is the top trim CVO so it’s at the top of the price range. Base model to base model though, these bikes are pretty comparable price wise. In fact, the Harley has a $2K cheaper starting price.
      Still, whether $24K for base or $43K for the CVO model, you can get a whole lot more bike for a lot less money in the sports touring world. The M1000XR with 200HP and carbon wheels, for example, is $10K less than this CVO 🤷‍♂️

      Sadly, the audience they are aiming for can’t afford to throw down this kind of cash for a scooter.

    I'm a Harley fan, but the price is a tough pill to swallow. I would like to have one. I test road one, and it is a nice bike .The best stock Harley I've ridden. I test road a CVO Street Glide and liked the Street Glide 117 much better.

    I can't imagine the power figures that a sport-tourer with an inline 4 nearly 2000cc would make from any of the big 4 or european brands. Just think of it for a moment, ~700 pounds with a 2000cc engine that's actually somewhat efficient, they'd have to be north of 180 ft lbs and well over 250hp. Might as well just propose the idea to Suzuki and have them call it "Misairu".

    • @Mandatoryuser

      You don't have to imagine. A miata has the same displacement and make more power.

      i have the 2022 Gen 3 Hayabusa and wish it was at least 1800cc inline 4 . . . if not 2000-2100cc

    So just shy of 2 litres engine capacity, 381kg wet weight and 127hp 145ftlb torque. How are they doing so badly in power to weight? And what the hell is that front headlight cowling?! Horrible design, horrible engineering and carbon panels on an ugly heifer of a bike doesn't work either - pointless when the bike is a 381kg pig and all the panels looks like horrible cheap crap and brakes and suspension are budget bin anyhow. Almost £39k/$43k and you don't even get particularly good suspension.

      $43K is a lot of Skrilla! For that kind of money, this CVO performance bagger, out the box, should be making at least 150HP, preferably at the wheel. Customers shouldn’t have to spend anything extra to get that kind of performance boost.
