Matt the CVO looks so amazing. I am also one of those guys who never wanted the look of a rider backrest on my Streetglide but once I actually did a road trip with one I will never go back. Your customizations are tasteful and make perfect sense for your needs. Congratulations you deserve it!
The wireless charging adapter for the Quadlock is awesome and I highly recommend. Phone is always charged when riding and and there is no extra cords that are flying in the wind. The cord from the Quadlock blends in nicely with all of the factory wiring and is more aesthetically pleasing.
Wow Matt! Looks amazing. I think this is an awesome set up. You kept the performance and made it comfortable for long distance. I think this set up is nearly perfect!
Matt, you deserve the new bike with all of the upgrades, it looks tremendous. If you're in the Black Hills next week I'll keep an eye out for you. Speed safely!
Just bought one yesterday too, so pumped to do upgrades. I am going ALL OUT with Trashin Chrome risers and parts with the Raven black is going to look sick.
What a great set up. Love the performance bagger that this bike is, but it is still a touring bike. Looks to me like you found a great way to blend some touring comforts without compromising the aggressive looks and styling of the CVO ST. Black was definitely the right choice, it's just a good sinister look. I think you're pretty darn close to the ultimate touring/performance bagger, nothing geezer about it. Really nice work sir.
Really glad, with all the family responsibilities, that you finally had the opportunity to upgrade your Harley-Davidson. I’m actually really impressed that you held out for as long as you did and, given the huge model change in 2023 and the bagger racing inspired CVO you’ve now got, you timed the change just right 😉
Such nice looking changes! I was looking for the relocation brackets but can’t seem to find them at this time. I need to put a pillion and backrest so I can take my wife. Would be great to get the part no. For these. Love your videos!!
Matt, well deserved! You could have owned a CVO 2 Street Glides ago but stayed humble. You’ve shown that Hard Work and dedication is rewarding. Best of luck with that really beautiful Bike! As soon as I get back to Dago (February) I will be coming up to Laidlaw’s to replace my 2017 FLHXS I bought here locally.
Nice ride Matt! Love how it looks and how nicely you have a CVO setup for touring! Best of both worlds! One recommendation I'll make, is to use a seat cover with that beautiful Saddleman seat when it rains! I have the RoadSofa, (with green stitch to match my Kinetic Green Electra Glide), but I opted for the "carbon fiber" leather with the stitching, instead of the perforated leather. But still when it rains the water seeps through the stitching and soaks the foam underneath. It takes a long time to dry that out, so my butt is wet for a few days. Now I use the seat cover every time there is a chance of rain when I'm on the road! Looking forward to your road trip videos on the Performance Geezer!
Love it. Thanks for posting this detailed vid. CVO Road Glide ST Limited. The older I get, the less I like loud. I'm a touring rider too and up in my 50's. It has to be comfortable, "fast", and relatively quiet.
Incredibly beautiful bike Matt! I have the Saddlemen back rest on my ‘23 Low Rider S and you’re going to love it. I test drove this bike a couple of weeks ago and it was definitely the best ride ever. Enjoy!
Your perfect bike...and what a magnificent machine indeed!! Mirrors? I really like the Profile Mirrors from HD, beefy stems and a nice wide field of view. Thanks for sharing your upgrades! Matt!
I really wanted the CVO ST but felt there was too many things. I had to change to make it mine. I ended up buying a CVO in copperhead. I have also added the color matched tour pack. I am only 6‘2“ tall and I got the extended reach Saddleman seat also. I feel it puts me in a perfect spot on the bike. I do think the extended reach seat limits the passenger seat. If I was carrying a passenger frequently, I would probably also get a standard reach seat for the few times I rode with the passenger. I like what you’ve done to your bike.
Congrats on your build; I made the same upgrades to mine. Went with the progressive relocation kit due to Harley not having a solution at the time. I went with the King tour pack and went with the Empire collection for floor boards and mirrors. You did give me an idea with the crash bar, because I was looking at the frame mounted highway pegs. Again good job and be safe .
Nicely done done Matt 👍🏼👍🏼!! Still beautiful!!, it’s very hard to make these esthetic compromises to this performance bagger which came out already looking beautiful, but now with these changes you can literally make a world trip !! Think the time has come for a series of videos of “Around the world on the performance geezer” take care and many safe miles on this dream machine!!
Rider backrest! Yes! I'm on a road trip today through Saunday. Popped on my rider backrest. I forgot how much it helps. So I'm with you on that tip! Hahahahaha

Outstanding job Matt. I've been looking at the new 24's and the standard RG/SG just doesn't have that pop I had with my 20 SG Special. The CVO ST has that Bad Ass look I crave, but like you, my wife rides and I needed some passenger comfort. Excited to see your update video with all of the new additions to the bike which looks absolutely awesome. Great job man!
That is a fantastic looking setup! If it is comfortable for you and does what you want it to, that’s the big thing. A lot of people neglect comfort on their bike I think because they feel they have to keep up with their buddy that’s got that 120hp build or whatever. I’m a 5’4 guy on a road king special so I got the LePera TailWhip step up and the difference is incredible. I always tell people when they ask me, make your bike comfortable and able to do what you need it to do before doing performance stuff. You can kill yourself plenty easy on a stock Harley!
Nice Matt. I parked next to you the other day when I came into laidlaws to buy more parts. I ended up buying all thrashin stuff. You already had your set up done. Looks solid. I’ll be getting my handlebars and such done in the next week or so.
Matt, perhaps if you could find someone that has access to a machine shop, I wonder if you you could have them make a bracket so you could use the smaller floorboards that came on your CVO for passenger floorboards? They might be too large, but it’s a thought. You’d think H-D would make a matching set for the rear, maybe they will in the future. I know my wife hates pegs, so I put the matching floorboards on my ‘21 RGS. I appreciate your channel and look forward to seeing new videos.
