Great to see you out on a H-D CVO and pleased to hear you liked it, Harley's are unique and should be judged purely on their smiles per mile quota, if it puts a smile on your face then it's worth every penny.😀
That's the most beautiful motorcycle ever made!!!!!!!
I don't have CVO money so I bought the 2024 Street Glide 117 Whiskey Fire/Black trim. Absolutely love it.
Aah lovely! Send me a pic of that beauty!
That was so cool, a sunny day, a fantastic bike and your own song on the entertainment system. I was getting goose bumps for you.
I just bought this same bike 3 weeks ago and love it but the first thing I did was replace the stupid windshield they put on it from factory. Other than that it’s a beast and handles like a light weight bike. Ride safe brother
I have been riding for 43 years and had many VFR’s and still own a 750. I never went near Harley’s until about 3 years ago but I liked cruisers and I liked how they sounded and the basic engineering. I have owned a softail and now own an 2013 Ultra Limited. I get the side stand bit 😅 until you ride one you can’t really know whats special but for me I instantly clicked with the Harley and the Harley community are mostly very friendly and love to click up the miles. Turning 60 this June I must say it’s a bit heavy to move around at 400kg but other than that it’s a joy to own. I have said it before your video production and musical skills are top notch. You should get a loaner and hit thunder in the Glen, August every year, nice weekend with music and a massive ride out in Bonnie Scotland. I am biased with owning a Harley and being a Scotsman. I certainly would not spend £50,000 on one, must be the Scotsman in me again 😂 Take care buddy.
Thank you, Sir! Yeah, that’s a great idea!
You’re a cracking singer mate. Love the tune! I’m not a Harley fan! But I want that bike!😂👍🏻
Thank you 👍
Love watching reviews of HD bikes from across the pond.
I’ve never understood speakers on a bike.
I like the colour though
That maybe the best looking CVO paint HD has ever done. That new RG rocks! Money is the least important when you want more than need😁😎 …new sub…. Your song sounds great!, and you are getting the HD feeling on any bike from an 883 to a CVO Road Glide that’s exactly why I’ve owned so many. Love em 😎
You are right HD have a very special feel, whether a CVO or an old Sportster. But there is one thing that really makes a difference… the Harley Owners Group, we always make everyone welcome especially when they get their first Harley.
Great video Rich 👏🏻👏🏻 Bike looks amazing 👍🏻
I just got mine last week. Listening to you experience it for the “first time” was awesome! I take the kickstand for granted after having a touring bike for a few years now!
Congrats! Bloody amazing machine!
That bike looks so comfortable . Built for days in the saddle with no aches and pains after a 12 hour days ride.... The most impressive for me. That seat. Great vid Rich.
Yeah, so comfy. The suspension however over bumps… BANG! Straight up your spinal cord haha
welcome to the harley community Mr Vida i bought a VFR 800 after watching the way you talked about them, but have owned Roadking harleys for years and still do cheers for the great work Glenn.
Thanks "Sandra!" 🤣🤣
Yes, an awesome bit of kit and I'd be terrified to ride something that valuable! 😳
Great to see wonderful Derbyshire countryside (and the sun!) and feel the positive vibes! See you at ABR!
🏍️💨💨
Hi Richy, I would love to see you doing another America tour. There were a few places you wanted to go to but couldn't because of severe weather conditions and/or time constraints. It would also be good to see you doing it on a harley, I well remember the episode where you met up with those gun carrying bounty hunters on their harleys. Brilliant. Shame that harleys are so expensive and heavy as I would like to try one but, at 70 years of age and having short legs that's not going to happen. I will just have to be content with my Suzuki GSX650F.
Richie , some of the footage from tge saddle looking forward looked like it was virtual reality/superimposed because dash is so big 🙂🙂😉
Fantastic video this Sandra!
Absolutely stunning bike, would be the dream to tour America on that bike with a bit of country through the speakers 😍
Definitely a must if the numbers come in 🤞
Great vid Rich ,What a stunning machine , Harleys CVOs are always something special , when I used to work for HD always drooled over the CVOs , colour is fantastic I must say I'm a little jealous 🤣🤣 , enjoy mate 👍
lovely bike
Rich, we're in Vermont atm, travelling to NY State tomorrow. Route 100 .... it was made for bikes. If we had known, we would have rented. OMG!
Great review Rich, pleased you’re enjoying the bike. Harley’s are always difficult to ‘explain’ until you ride them 😊
Yes that makes perfect sense. Until you ride it properly you just can’t see it..
Nice Video mate, looks good with that Richa riding shirt. Maybe a good voice for the next ride up the PCH?
Not seen you gush this much over a bike in a while 👍🏻 like the new lid
Bought my first Harley at 55 years old, a 22 Road Glide. We bought it for touring and it does that well. I fought it for a long time and I do like it. Mine has 13" rear shocks so it sits a little higher and that stand scares me every single time. Harley does Paint well.....I obsess with it being clean and I don't do that with any of my other bikes.
Nice video nice bike keep up the good work
It's many things, beautiful isn't one.
Oh I disagree, mate. She’s beautiful in the flesh!
I agree. That bike isn't beautiful by any stretch of the imagination.
What a beast of a bike
Ride it in the rain you won’t have any issues. There are no extra’s on a CVO other than the paint. You can swap things out and put louder pipes on etc to customise it to your specifications but what you see on that bike are all from the factory. Some people may add a sissy bar with passenger back rest and rack for extra storage when touring.
it maybe a bit big and expensive, but it makes a great review 👍 thanks Rich 🙂
Those hand grips do look very cool.....and a great idea putting the heated grips control on the bar end. Although - how easy it is to adjust when riding? I guess the bike is so stable that its not a problem? @RichyVida - I keep seeing you wearing your Endura Hummvee gloves. I own two pairs and love them for my mountain bike. I have thought about using them for summer riding on the motorbike but they are not really designed for that. However, recently I bought a pair of Knox Orsa OR3 (the textile version of the Orsa). They are really really close to the feel of the Hummvee as they use the same kind of fabric on the palm. However, big difference in protection compared to the Hummvee - proper knuckle protection, scaphoid protection etc. Give them a try - I think you will like them if you like the Humvee.
Oh thanks for that! Yeah, I love the Humvee as they’re so comfy. The Velcro on the strap has gone now though so it flaps around a bit. I’ve been wanting some new ones but didn’t want to lose the great feel of these. And yeah, I know they’re not actually for the bike, but I love em! I’ll defo check these out. Thank you 👍
Hi Richy. I was in Fort Erie today where you crossed the bridge into the U.S in 2016 !
Aah nice one, James! Hope you’re well, mate
Very nice.
Stunning bike, even better watching the Bagger racing, now Mr that Helmet 😉
Oh yeah!
What a beautiful piece of design and engineering. However, if I had a spare 50 bags, I'd have a garage of 5 bikes worth £10k each!
I would be scared to death if this was mine at that much!
Lovely, lovely. HD never been my thing but now you have got me wondering}?
It’s addictive Richie great bikes for Canada and USA with the bigger roads and big spaces. Done over 200,000kms on my Harley’s 🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻
You have to trust the stand 😂 And the torque is the fun bit
I know but it scares the bejesus out of me every time it rolls that little bit onto the lock!
A Harley overnighter 😁👍🥃
Yes!
@@RichyVida I could probably ride mine even with a broken foot 👍😁
Sadly it’s going back in Wed or I would’ve 100% been up for that!
So you like it then if I'm reading you right Rich?? Quite a bike for sure, manages to make the new R1300GS look both beautiful and cheap! Gotta love a Harley.....I love that they exist, I love the looks of the engine, but boy is that front fairing arrangement ugly to my eyes....just as well we all like different things, but this is a definate pass for me.....
Great vlog Richy. As said before I'm not a big Harley fan. Nice looking from side on but the fairing looks odd in my opinion. Your own song sounded great coming from the speakers 👍 A expensive toy indeed
Just one word: JEALOUS
I live in Alberta Canada and ride a big tour in the western US every year. I’m surrounded by Harleys, that if you ride anything else you seem to get swarmed by folks, I have a Triumph trophy SE, Triumph T120 Gold Line and an Aprilia Mana 850. Since everyone owns a Harley up here it’s very hard to stand out in the Harley pack. There must be a hell of a mark up on them for the UK…as that model is around $50K CDN $$, which would be around £30,000. On these long stretch highways in Canada and America cruisers work well, heck in Montana I can ride for hours and never pass another vehicle. I had a huge cruiser for a while and it was fun, but in the hotness of summer it can get hot and sweaty hauling them around a parking lot for sure…. I respect the Harley Bikes, it’s just the mentality of most of them that actually hold the brand back. You often hear the comment “Well you cannot afford it” which they don’t know I could by anything they make and pay cash for it…. They have their place in North America for sure, but their market is getting smaller every year.
Thanks Colin. Great comment. I very much look forward to riding in Montana one day! And yes, I totally get your points there. 👍
A lovely motorcycle for sure, but I can't get past the size and shape of the fairing.
Given the space in the garage, there may be room for a Hog but at 50k, it may be a different model. 😁
On another note...did I hear some Slavic music when you were skipping through the tracks? sounded like an accordion and the music my parents listened to.
Let's hope for some sunshine so you can do a trip away on the CVO.
Thx
G
46,000 then add stage one or stage two kit well over 50,000, Harley Davidson, a merchandising company that sells unfinished motorcycles 😂
A T shirt company that sells unfinished motorcycles.
Richie, awesome machine. I would not like to filter with it that's for sure... Plus a bike you can't ride in the wet!!? You live in glorious Derbyshire, and sounds like Californian dreaming lol.. Great video as normal mate..
Oh you can ride in the wet, but I wouldn’t fancy having to clean all that crap off!
Leather and denim jacket ordered and tattoos next
From the Front, it looks like a Speed Boat on wheels LOL
I think someone wants a Harley 😜 I’d go for a pre-owned Road Glide ST though. Looks more subtle and you can pick them up for £25k.
Heel and Toe, just like a Honda C50 😁 . But would you swap the VFR for it?
Even at 50 grand, there’s not a chance in hell I’d swap the VFR for it!
I'm not sure 🤔, but I can't tell properly on vlog. It would be awesome for the WW24 ride out, then we can all see it in the flesh 👍. I personally wouldn't have one, not got the room or the money 😂😂,
Haha same!
American Iron! Having owned several Harley's, the CVO is the most blinged and usually have the biggest motors. I have owned a couple of CVO's back in the day, unfortunately, they have gotten priced way out of my league these days. Beautiful bikes though.
I do love a Harley. Unfortunately, they are the only dealer not to let me test ride a bike because they don't want it getting dirty! 🤦
Their words exactly 😂
Really? Wow. Thats crazy
@@RichyVida I know! £22k and they'd let me sit on it 😂😂
I went to BMW.
Sure it’s a great bike but what a price. Looks ok from the side but the fairing reminds me of the car Homer Simpson designed.
😆😆
How much FFS.
Plus side
Induction into Vida music 😂
When I was in the us of a, I had a heritage Softail… incompatible really. So many go after Harley, but a Harley is the only Harley. I’m a Sportsbike nut, I’ve got a RR5 blade and the ATAS DCT ES as well. But, I’d have another in the garage no worries at all.
CVO is like the ultimate backstage pass = Excess All Areas. There's nothing to beat it as the ultimate expression of two-wheeled American consumerism! The world would be a sadder place without bikes like this even tho' its not to my taste (or budget!). Just pleased they exist for people who do want one.
Great comment! Thanks for posting that 👍
Yes, they are expensive. There's a inside joke that when shoppng for accessories, the H-D stands for Hundred-Dollars... There are other brands that do certain tasks better than a Harley, But the one thing a Harely does better than any other is turn heads. Clearly, Harleys are not everyone's cup of tea. Their more a shot and a beer. But for those of us that own one, they suit us just fine. And it's good that not everyone rides a Harley, that leaves more for the rest of us. Enjoy the ride while it lasts, Richy. Try not to snap any necks as you roll by.
98% of Harleys are still on the road. The other 2% made it home.
You can have one too
@@MrMurphc13 no thanks!
@peterdane9138 Why not?Have you ever owned one?
@@MrMurphc13 no but I rode across America on one that was enough.
@peterdane9138 Well from a man that's had 3 Hayabusas,2 RSV4s and many others and has made the move to HD i wouldn't want to be on anything else.
❤❤❤
Never seen the appeal of Ditch Pumps.
Did I spot 13 .7 mpg on the dash 😬
Making video and talking while riding full concentration ,respect .any chance next video wheelie.👍Manxman 🇮🇲
Haha not on your Nelly!
*I don't think you made it very clear whether you liked it or not Richy.* 😁😁😁
Haha good point. I must try harder to get my point across next time 😉
I can't see how they go from £27,300 for the Road Glide, to £39000 (+43%) for the CVO Road Glide. The underlying engineering looks much the same. Nice bikes though.
Crazy money, for sure! 😵💫
Bloody hell. What happened there? You were late!!! ⏰⏰⏰⏰😂😂😂
Always be on your toes, my man!
@@RichyVida 😂
50k😂 im glad you enjoyed yourself ,very different, that sort of money buys a good adventure bike plus a good sports bike or a very nice car.
Adv, Sports bike AND a car!
Beautiful bikes, the standard road glide are great as well just in case you become a harley tart ❤❤😂
“Harley Tart” 😆😆😆
Not my thing but im sure if your into Harleys its great
Im not “into” Harley’s and it is great!
Is there anything better? Yes. The Indian Pursuit Elite. For almost $20,000 less you can get an electronically adjustable Fox rear suspension, a larger electric windscreen, heated and cooled seats, a fully liquid cooled V-twin that's faster on the top end, a whole tour pack, which provides 2 more speakers, and a lower fairing to protect your legs. Every modern feature the Harley CVO currently has is because they copied from Indian technology. The "creme de la creme" and "exclusive" features of Harley is just another standard feature for Indian and Harley still can't match up.
Right I want that Indian now then! Haha - actually never ridden an Indian and very much want to!
@@RichyVida now that you’ve ridden a Harley CVO riding a Pursuit will open your eyes.
Wildbad raffle prize?
😳
I can see the appeal but not for that money
Ducati Multi RS - £37k... Harley CVO - £40k... Get to f**K! The margins on these bikes must huge. We've seen bike prices go insane over the past 15 years and for what? Electronics! I bought a brand new Aprilia RSV Factory in 2008 for £8,995. 15 years later, they're £25,000+. The FOMO pay later finance mindset of 'I want it now!' is a marketing departments wet dream.
Yeah exactly. Prices have gone crackers. And, as you say, mark-up must be massive on each unit.
50K Rich? Thats an immense amount of money for a bike. But, if its your thing then why not! Not for me though. Thank tou
98% still on the road, the other 2% made it home 😮😅😅 great vid but not for me 👍
I don't even understand why people buy them at that price...its not even quality parts being used, they are well know for issues.
Fair play that is one of the most ugliest bikes I've ever seen lol 🤣🤣
While it does look like a work of art I personally can't see the appeal... its over priced and over weight and definitely not designed for the smaller/ Europe roads. Might be nice to hire for 2 weeks to ride across the USA though.
I’ve ridden mine on the single tracks of Mull 😂. Was it the most suitable bike? No. Was it fun? Oh yes!
50k 🤪🤪🤪🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Defo not for me….even if I had the money..£6k for paint is taking the piss. Speakers on a bike are stupid “look at me” things …urghhh…screams ‘I am a tosser’ as you ride by.😀
I see why there is a bit of a cult following sorta like vespas . Look awful imo and a huge waste of money not worth 45-50k whatsoever. That front end is disgusting .
Ugly looking front end. Looks like the starship enterprise 😅
I was thinking Shark
They do actually call it the shark nose (or something like that)
Great video, but sorry I think it’s awful.
Ride one 👍
@@RichyVida Sorry Richy, it reminds me of the sort of bike that Elvis would be riding in his Vegas days, or possibly one for Evil Knievel 😄
Sorry it does nothing for me, I don't see the point of it on our roads, motorways ok minor roads not much use.
Gaaay can’t watch😂 bye
Adiós
Been a biker for nearly fifty years, had many bikes, including some cruisers, but never had ,or will a Harley, rather take the bus tbh , vastly overhyped
Have you ridden one?
@@RichyVida no, I’ve ridden most other makes, but my total lack of interest in this brand means I probably never will. As an engineer, I can admire “some” of the design features, but as a whole, I wouldn’t entertain one, and unfortunately my local dealers “sales” team enforces that opinion, but , each to their own , there’ll definitely be Harley riders out there who wouldn’t consider my choices of rides .
I’ve owned loads of bikes. Currently have a Street Triple RS, Royal Enfield Himalayan and a Harley Road King Special. I love them all on different days, but the Harley is the one that feels special. It’s visceral and you have to properly ride them unlike other modern bikes that almost ride themselves these days
Exactly! ^^
Then you don’t know what you are missing. They truly are special.
Ridiculously expensive for such an ugly bike……just my opinion🥸
