The death sentence should be proscribed as it neither functions as an effective deterrent of crimes nor does it give the vectors an opportunity to change.
I disagree as it’s a less severe punishment than the life penalty. I support abolishing the life penalty, while reinstating the death penalty as the punishment for the most severe crimes. Personally I’d rather be sentenced to death than life.
I disagree as well, I support the death penalty. That said, I think that a higher level of proof should have to be met, in order to lessen the chance for innocent people being executed. But I understand why some people are against it, but there are crimes so abhorrent that death is the only appropriate punishment.

Criminals need be taught to abstain from crimes, they need to learn what their actions wrought, unfortunately punishment does not do this. Criminals when punished don't try to stop crimes instead they find ways to circumvent the law and the get ingenious at it. It is punishment that has created so many criminals, and the best way to stop crime is through psychological counselling.

There's at least a few documented cases of a prisoner dying from blood lose while the shooters debated reloading to try again.
The officers who fired the rifles would know if they had fired a live or blank round, there is a very noticeable lack of recoil with blank rounds. Who ever came up with that idea to spare the officers mental health didn't have clue about firearms.
They need to be thankful they get what the get and need not have a fit! I feel like when you do something heinous enough to warrant the death penalty your human rights and all the perks that come with being free shouldn't be given to you. The poor souls you harmed weren't afforded no spaghetti or scallops before they were murdered. Why should you? No indeed!
