People tend to overlook the fact that Mercedes-Benz isn't designed for everyone; it has never been synonymous with affordability. However, it's important to note that no image or video can truly capture the genuine Mercedes-Benz experience that one feels when seated behind the steering wheel.
Mercedes makes very comfortable driving cars. Is it a Tesla? No, but is it quieter and with a better riding suspension…definitely. The tech, battery, range, and storage don’t quite measure up however. Good stuff Gjeebs-
@@JetFire9 Ha! No it does not. One change we made was swapping out the run-flat tires on the GLC, made a huge difference. AAA is way cheaper. One run-flat nearly cost as much as a whole set of 4.
@@JetFire9 Sure thing PH, you’re the expert. Driven the GLC 100k miles since 2017 (new). Have 30k on the late 2021 MYLR. Driven both side by side for 1/2 year. Love the Tesla, but the MB rides better, and is quieter. The seats and tech are unbeatable in the Tesla- wouldn’t trade it for MB, and hey it’s just my opinion. But not one without a lot of experience in both cars.
I own a 2017 GLC and the ride is soft and comfy. Had a 2022 GLB for less than a year and found that car to have poor ride quality. The interior quality was very disappointing too. Tesla Model Y had better interior quality than GLB and a better ride too.
Just wondering with some of these other expensive EVs. Do they have the preferences you can save on a Tesla? My husband and I have our seat preferences set and we use them all the time. And what about navigation? Is it directly on the screen like a Tesla or do you have to use your phone?
@@Teddy_M85 That's actually not correct. If you have elecric seats, the positions are also stored in the user profiles. Then again it's silly that the keys are not linked to the profiles, so if you switch with your partner, you still have to tap the other profile on the touch screen.
Does it allow for a tow bar/hitch in the US/Canada? In Europe it does not come with one and does not allow for any post purchase installation. Could be important to know.
I dunno……. The Tesla model Y was built to be electric, designed to maximise space and practicality. The EQB is a gas powered care that has been tweaked to compensate for the electric components…..but it just looks like an afterthought.
WE NEED REAL EVS BUILT FROM GROUND UP. I'm tired of these companies slapping a battery pack on a normal gas car and thinking they're good. They suck at driving and regen braking compared to a real ev. IE: Ionic 5, EV 6, Tesla etc.
Nope, no CCS charging car is worth at this time. No matter how nicer it is or quieter it drives, i don’t care, all i care is to be able to pull in charger, plug in and start charging within 6 sec (ok maybe 10 sec). Speaking from own experience, happy MYP owner now!
These old car companies need to fire all the old bozos in the company and start fresh if they wanna succeed with EVs. Also fire your pathetic, pretentious and condescending sales/finance teams. They need to learn that people can’t tolerate BS anymore. A happy MYLR owner.
Tesla has best EV but it feels plastic it is not quiet, feels chuncky, but has best range ,dislpay, autodrivemode. I will getto choose bewteen eqa or eqb for my worki don't know what to choose. Unfortunately no tesla to choose froom.
Is it worth it? Hell no! You can. Buy MY Performance for 10k less and get 7500 fed tax credit. Plus you get like 2x the horsepower, 2x the performance. MB should be embarrassed for this. Slow charging, terrible range and worst charging network.
Yeah but MB didn’t make this for the Tesla driver- They made this for people with some money who don’t care about tech, and want something comfortable. Parents or Grandparents first EV. They will put 5k miles a year on it, and it will never go 200 miles from home.
In some states, a Model Y Performance cost close to $70k after taxes and registration fees. The tax credit isn't taking $7500 off the purchase price, it just lessens your tax bill if you owe anything. It's called a credit and not a rebate for a reason. Next year though, you have the option of taking $7500 off the price at the point of sale. As Tesla opens more of their supercharger locations to other EVs, the charging situation will matter less and less.
@@Superman-xr1oh sure. You get it after you file taxes. In CA you get extra rebate because it’s below 60k and even regular model Y is way quicker, charges faster and will hold more bags. The tech that s on completely different level. I installed aftermarket mood lights and it looks great. Is the MB nicer? Sure. I’ve own non tesla before I wouldn’t touch those cars until CCS network is reliable. Different cars for different people

I actually order EQB350 after intense testing against the MY, but MB screwed my order up, and today I’m a happy MYP owner, thanks MB🙌

Requires no heating or cooling? How do you think the battery is kept at optimum temperature? Heat pumps need and evaporator to work efficiently.

You can save them to the button on the doors. Not user-friendly at all. But hey, the chrome looks good 😂

where can I get the SUN SCREEN for the glass roof?
Last year a Tesla Model Y could cost that much.
The EQB is a gas powered design conversion.
Contrary to what OP said, there is NO one pedal driving option.

Absolutely not
bah
No
Charge so slowly , need one hour
The front seats fold too? 100%?!
....but it has cooled seats, ahhhh
EVs like this are just about as much fun as reading about disc golf!
Better than that ugly jelly bean Tesla model y

5 years behind.
Exactly. It’s slower than ID4 . This is one of the better “compliance” cars. $71k is laughable
Based on ICE chassis, 100kW charging, only 221 miles? For a $70,000 vehicle? Isn't that what a Model S did back in 2013? That is so sad. No thank you.
Looking good for 2015.... MB has not made a reliable vehicle since 1995. Junky interior chrome is out of date
spare tire in back? those mercedes have an easy app for their cars like tesla?
