You might want consider getting a DHX2. I put one on my Enduro and the thing is so much more stable. When I race Enduro I take the 180 mm 38 from my E bike and put it on this and it’s an absolute beast. Not a great fan of the SRAM brakes but for some reason on this bike they seem to work where they didn’t on my Kenevo SL. Freaking awesome ride both up and down! Climbs better than my Ibis Ripmo; which was supposed to be a great climber
Yeah after I blew up my shock I did consider it, and am currently trying to get one. The extra 10mm of travel in the fork seems like a great idea for racing and for gnarlier riding. Interesting that you say it is better than your Ibis at climbing, as those have the DW link that is supposed to make them great, I think it is down to geo and the Enduro seems to have that perfect balance. But I agree, they are awesome both up and down!
Great video! I just subscribed. Lots more cool MTB vids for me to watch! I'm trying to decide between sticking with my Evo or going up to the Enduro actually. So good detail here.
Yeah the price tag can be a pretty big con for a lot of people, but in our experience if you buy the bike then they have decent resale value and they last a long time. We have found the frame to be super solid (ignoring factory defects etc) and that they are really durable. We both think that they are well worth the money if you are able to ride they way the bike was intended for. Even if you can't ride well enough to use the bikes full capability, it will make you feel more confident and you will become a better rider on this bike. So yeah, definitely worth the money!
Thanks! Casey (red shirt) is 5’8 and he got an S3 and he thinks the bike fits perfectly. I am (blue shirt) 6’1 and got a S5. This was mainly due to having really long arms and long legs, so the larger size fits better at the time. However, after riding the S5 for a while if I had the option I do think that I would size down to an S4 to make the bike a little more playful and easier to manage. This is mainly due to me becoming a better rider in the time that I’ve had the bike and understanding what I want my bike to feel like. The sizing to us mainly depends on your riding style. If you want the Enduro to be better at ploughing and stable through rough terrain, then sizing up may be the way to go. However, if you ride tight trails and think you want the bike to be more manoeuvrable and easier to control, then sizing down may be the way to go. We still think that the recommended sizing from Specialized is pretty perfect, and you should only change up or down a size if you want a more agile or stable platform.
Hi there, the 2020 model is an s3 size and weighed 15kg when I first got it. Since then with the added weight of tire inserts, pedals, and other minor additions, it now weighs right at 16kg. Hope this helps!
Great review, I learnt a few things about my bike. Keep up the great content!
Much appreciated, glad you learnt some stuff!

wow, dreams
Cutties are the best man
Overpriced bikes that broke n broke shocks
yeah they are pretty expensive but it also means that they have a good warranty so that stuff is covered.
