Parallel universe? Me too. Just sold my 2020 Capra 29 Pro today and about to pull the trigger on the Enduro Comp. I've watched 10+ review videos so far and yours was THEE ONE! All I was really looking for was how it compares to the Capra in terms of pedal bob. Loved my Capra but that pedal bob is what made me sell it. Thanks fellas! AWESOME VIDEO. Subd'
Had my first ride of Spesh enduro yesterday after also coming from a Capra cf and can honestly say enduro blew me away on the very first run!! What a bike
Thanks for the review, I have been contemplating the Enduro for a couple of months now and I am coming from the YT Capra. Your review definitely made me take the decision to get the Enduro
Good reviews guys just a couple points to help moving forward, always state which model in the range it is, eg you mention hubs so which models are these on! I don’t want to go to the website and look at colours to find out if it’s a comp or an Sworks etc for example just helps us know where in the range your model sits and what component specc it’s built with. Secondly to for anyone getting a bike today, but especially a “carbon frame”, always, always get a frame wrap and put it on before you ride it (eg order it before your bike is picked up) like “frame skins” or something. I’m digging the new Enduro, not normally a Specialised fan, had em in the past, but they have really come on, also like the Stumpy as a trail bike, thinking of a frame only for the Enduro as a build option, my previous issues with my Specialized was always the components that let down a great frame and I’ll never pay or over pay for Specialised shitty component specc again, it’s a dam shame the Stumpy isn’t available as a frame only otherwise I’d probably get that too and build it up with parts I like and trust, wheels hubs very important and again Specialized are some of the worst I have ever encountered or ridden on., btw these were not the carbon Rovals, but we’re the DT swiss Specialized internals model. Oh and the big S seatpost is junk, you don’t want a setback seatpost especially in a dropper post, so many good aftermarket options in this space now, props to the wolf tooth lever though def a must have, anyways good stuff guys and props to having the ballz to rock the pink, I prefer the tan myself, but still ballsy dude. Enjoy the bikes dudes. 🤘
I get mine in April and cannot wait! 🤘I'm in your latest WR video actually, haha. White POC full face. I'm heading back March 21st weekend. You guys going to be there then? Weird coincidence.... I was also at MC the same weekend Blake(?) took a header on Crap chute. Scary vid, I'm glad you're fully recovered. Brain shit is scary dude. 🤘
No way! That is a weird coincidence😂 You’ll love this bike. They are soo good. We wanted to go down this weekend but doesn’t look like we will make it. We are racing the enduro though coming up on the 8th! We will be there all week for the Tennessee National!
cky 78 All good from that MC crash👌 just have a couple nice scars on my face from it and a little PTSD with step ups😂 I went OTB last spring at Windrock on the last step up too...
just bought a 21 model. Mine came with a fox 38 front fork. I immediately upgraded to Chris King hubs with NOX carbon hoops and I had a friend do some wrap on the white frame to make it personal and give it a little protection. I also upgraded to the XO rear cassette and I also run the XO grip shifter that I love over a thumb shifter. I also had to file down the sharp corner of the seat dropper remote
Nice bikes but just finished up testing on steep, tight and twisty trails that needs a bike to be nimble and poppy. This bike doesn’t deliver in that category. It’s a long bike, requires a lot of work around tight slow corners and a handful to pop over roots and rocks. However, once at speed in fast narly terrain it comes alive. If the latter is 90% of the trails you ride, then this is your bike. Otherwise a more nimble possibly shorter travel 29er like a stumpy or Evil Offering is the bike to be looking at.
Pretty sure specialized used the lower engagement hub because this suspension design with high anti squat creates some peddle kickback. Low engagement hub with more slack in it helps with that. Nice vid 😊
Think about getting some moto-foam for those hard to reach pockets, around the bottom bracket and shock linkage. It'll stop rocks from getting in there and cracking your frame. I think manufactures should set them up with it from the factory...but what do I know. Loving the videos and can't wait to see the shenanigans you guys get into in 2020
@Brendan Tovey It's any type of foam used for motocross skid plates. Moto guy's also pack it around shift and brake pegs when riding in mud. If you get some spray adhesive, or double sided tape. you can cut the foam to fit in between your linkage and pivot points on you mountain bike. she foam is soft enough it sill squish with the action of the suspension. but puffy enough to keep out rocks and debris. www.amazon.com/Uni-Filter-Skid-Plate-Foam/dp/B000OZGICA
Excellent reviews just got one totally different beast!!when your pointing downhill just go straight down without hesitation lol!! going up is not bad either 😀👍👍🍻🍻
Hi guys. I really enjoy your vids but I hadn’t subscribed all this time. Anyway,I am into buying a new bike and I lean towards the Enduro, the Ripmo and the Yeti Sb 130 or 150. Is the Enduro only for enduro riding or can it be a do it all quiver killer bike? Also why haven’t you used frame protection like invis or ride wrap, they are really worth the labor to install. Keep up!!
We are using the enduro as our only bike for everything! We have some all mountain styles frame protection on the bikes now! What bike do you think you’re going to get!?
Send 'er Buds So long as I can ride everything from enduro to mellower trails, I am going to buy the Enduro. It looks gorgeous! Thank you guys, keep up!! Waiting for more vids to come
Really wanna build that bike with the s works frame and shimano xt parts on it. I live in Tennessee and windrock is near me so hopefully I can shred there often whenever I build mine up or if I I just buy a prebuilt one who knows.
The Tan one reminds me of my Pivot Firebird 29... which is also an great UH climber and fast DH descender. Glad the DT Swiss 350 hubs are upgradable to 54! I like the Aggressor Rear and Assegai Front tire setup!!!
Thanks for watching! I love that Pivot colorway. This one is a little more of an off white than a tan. But yes, we just wish we could at least upgrade the hub... The Aggressor and Assegai combo is 👌🔥
Am I safe to assume that these are 29ers? I currently have a 29er and always feel like it’s hard to maneuver on tighter trails and prefer my 26” dirt jumpers handling - so I’ve been considering 27.5. Any thoughts?
Yes they are 29ers! I don't notice it being hard to maneuver because my last bike was a 29er also. The one thing I would say that helps is speed. The faster you go the easier I feel it is to maneuver but 29ers are not for everyone so if you don't like how it feels get a 27.5 and ride the crap out of it!
I have the same wheels on my 19 stumpjumper evo, I agree the hub is a bit vague.. Do you guys have the sram code r brakes on your bikes? If so how are they working for you?
I (Chase) just got Magura mt7 pros on my bike because I hated the SRAM code r brakes! They were always spongy feeling and faded on long descents. So far the Magura’s are much stronger and have a better lever feel in my opinion!
Send 'er Buds- I’ve been tempted to change mine out too, my stock pads would glaze over and polish my rotors even after almost a year.. I just installed a set of EBC downhill race pads on them, and their a lot better. They don’t really advertise them but they are a huge improvement if your other buddy’s bikes still have the code r brakes.
Blake still has the code r brakes but I’m pretty sure after feeling mine he will have Magura brakes here soon! But yea when my pads would get like a little worn the brakes would pull almost to the bar which is not a super awesome feeling haha
Hey guys. I have some tips that I *believe* will help your channel. Your b-roll is stunning. Nothing much I can say to improve that. However, your presentation could use a little work, and perhaps just practice. The cameraman shouldn't really show himself during the shot, but you can switch through a cut if you wish (disregard for those going vlog style shots). Don't pan away from the presenter during a shot. If you're talking about something, overlay a cinematic shot over the 'talking' shot of what you're talking about. Guys, don't hate me for any of these tips, the vids are already amazing and these are simply suggestions that my tiny brain thought could be cool.
I have 170mm SC Nomad and climbs really well!! Ok! I will say it. This bike cost $9k and comes with bad design between the crank and the rear suspension. A small rock can stop function of the rear suspension and comes with low-end drivetrain.
We are both 6ft and we both got the S3 size! Specialized recommended we get S4, but we compared the numbers to our last bikes that we were comfortable on and S3 was almost spot on. We are glad we went S3 too because our buddy got S4 and it felt big to us!
Intriguing to see the new Enduro ! Things to check:: seat post rise and if you’re happy with the front chain ring size .The best thing especially for those who aren’t confident with maintenance. Is having your own pit crew at an actual Specialized store ! I’m mean you wouldn’t take you apple 🍏 products to the fruit & veg store. My next enduro will be my third! My plushest set up was rockshox pike and cane creek double barrel rear . Not the ohlins fork or rockshox rear ! The pike and cane creek went on for 3500 miles !!! I got the creek serviced and it only lasted another 200 ? Something I’ve noticed is the bike shop Pros seem to prefer running the older frames and change up the components! Anyway enough talking I’ll be watching how you two get on with these bikes ! And it’s PUNK not Pink
So far so good with everything on the bikes other than rims! We have been super happy with our rockshox stuff and don't really feel the need to change it! Chase would like to try a coil on the rear though! When do you plan on getting your next Enduro? Thats sick you have had that many!
It’s been over five years with all my donor parts I’ve probably got another year before I replace the mongrel . But the only contender I’d like to try is a Deviate with a pinion gearbox!
Yeah that’s always nice! We’ve got some pretty secret local trails that are really good here where we are. Pretty much free range for us to build whatever we want too👌
We trail ride with them occasionally. They pedal very well for what they are. Just a more aggressive geo so climbing isn’t as comfortable as a trail bike. Thats the trade off for amazing descents
Specialized really cheaped out on the hub that badly? My MUCH cheaper Giant Trance has better hub engagement than that (I'm actually really impressed with it, especially being an in house hub, just wished Giant made a microspline driver for it). Still really impressed with the Specialized Enduro, I want to demo one once the trails dry up around here. Though I think I would build it from a frame, I'm not terribly impressed with the more "reasonable" builds on it.
Yeah I was hoping they would use a DT Swiss star ratchet so we could easily upgrade it at least. You definitely should demo one if you get the chance! It feels so balanced and comfortable on the trail like every bike should!
Loving my pink enduro, too! Can't wait to get down to Windrock since our race season is basically not happening (but I guess you know that if you were also going to do WV Enduro Series). Re: crappy engagement, you can upgrade it, though it is pricey and you need some tools and some shops may not even have them. If I don't break a wheel soon, I may go for this upgrade. ruclips.net/video/e_XpRZCLTX4/видео.html
Really good considering the type of bike that it is! We are ironically dropping a cornering video tonight or tomorrow with our Enduros. It’s always more about the technique the rider uses rather than the bike👊
Curious as to why you usually stay far away? This is our first time on Specialized and we are super happy and impressed! Glad we could make you take a look!
@@Blake_Cherubini I've had bad warantee issues with them in the past and some broken frame stuff ...that kept the bike down way to long..I stick to santa cruz and ibis
It actually was because of some broken rear triangles..and at the time specialized always wanting to work with those weird ohlin shocks that when they failed specialized didnt want to know anything ..since they had yet again parted ways with ohlin..and went with either fox or rockshox
Amazing bikes! Take off the all mountain styles off of your top tube because it will lead to paint mismatch if you ever peal it off from paint fade. The paint won’t all fade the same in the sun. Just happened to my roubion and my boyfriend’s Bronson. We had our AMS on our top tubes for about a year and then took it off to apply ride wrap. Such a disappointment, don’t want to see that happen to your sick bikes.
Yep, our buddy has an S4 and it feels too big for us. We compared the actual geometry numbers to our last size large bikes and S3 was almost exactly the same as our last bikes so we went with what we were comfortable with
Great bike , rides smooth ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
Send 'er Buds that’s what important. Specialized needs to pay more attention to the game. 370 3 pawl hubs? Really? Could at least be 350 ratchet with the 36t upgrade minimum.
You need to talk about how the frame reacts to certain trail types eg does it pop of things ,does it jump good does the rear end flex to much etc, who gives a fuck about water bottle cage and a fucking heavy multitool in the stem of a pink bike . shit review.
What do you all think of the new Enduro? Could this be the best enduro bike out right now? What bike is better?

Yeah we ended up just upgrading wheels!
Dream bike!❤️ fan from ph
You guys from Ohio? Heard you mention Mohican....
Yep we are just east of Columbus a little bit!
what do you guys use to film
We use a Sony a6400 with the 16-55 f2.8 G lens and an Autel Evo drone! Riding videos are taken with GoPro Hero 8 Black!
Nice one
Thanks!
how did the enduro corner ?
Really good considering the type of bike that it is! We are ironically dropping a cornering video tonight or tomorrow with our Enduros. It’s always more about the technique the rider uses rather than the bike👊
Send 'er Buds sweet , looking forward to it 🤙
I usually look at every other brand and stay far away from specialized..but you guys made me take a look !!
Ohhhh interesting! We I guess just go with whatever you have a good experience with! Luckily we haven’t had any issues with ours so far!
Simple fix for you linkage regarding cleaning and stuff getting crushed between mainframe and rear triangle, MOTO FOAM.
Yes! We need to get some!
What is the name of the grips you have on?
They are linked on our website
What do you mean the hubs arent swapable
The internals. To give them more points of engagement
Do you adea?
Just found your channel love your transitions
Glad you like them!
Get some Hunt wheels
440 shipped the wheelset
120points engagement
Hmmm, never heard of Hunt but we will have to check them out! Thanks for letting us know!
@@Blake_Cherubini amazing customer service. And really stout wheels for an amazingly awesome price
Thanks for the tip!
Wow... they are sold out since november.. very mad by spech
Yeah it’s definitely hard to get your hands on one. I know why though because these bikes are rad!
If i was to spend that much money on a bike it would definitely not be spent on a Specialized. Santa Cruz FTW
What are your reasons? We have never had a Specialized before and have never been on a Santa Cruz!
Santa Cruz is definitely high quality! Idk if we could go without SWAT though🤷♂️😬
Except this bike works better
whats your height and framse size?
6ft and we both ride s3
@@Blake_Cherubini and did you try the S4? because everyone on my local shops tells me to get de S4
Yep, our buddy has an S4 and it feels too big for us. We compared the actual geometry numbers to our last size large bikes and S3 was almost exactly the same as our last bikes so we went with what we were comfortable with
@@Blake_Cherubini thanks a lot!
no chain slap....clutch on?

The only thing about these that fucking sucks is the price.
A YT Capra will perform only 90% as good but will also only cost half as much.
Yea the price is pretty high. You get what you pay for though with quick warranty work by local shops if anything ever happens!
the price points are too high but specialized has always been that way
Totally worth it though!
Send 'er Buds that’s what important. Specialized needs to pay more attention to the game. 370 3 pawl hubs? Really? Could at least be 350 ratchet with the 36t upgrade minimum.
Thomas Winfree I agree with that! 100%
17mm for the cable, yo
Yea we know that now! Oh well we love our wolf tooth dropper levers!!

Thanks!
You need to talk about how the frame reacts to certain trail types eg does it pop of things ,does it jump good does the rear end flex to much etc, who gives a fuck about water bottle cage and a fucking heavy multitool in the stem of a pink bike . shit review.
I bet you’re super fun at parties... 😂
@@Blake_Cherubini dickheads
Shoulda gotten the Sworks model instead of that garbage carbon
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the S-Works model more carbon? Carbon frame as well as carbon linkage and wheels?
Yea am sure all spec enduros are the same level Carbon. Sworks carbon with the linkages also in carbon
