you’re one of the most underrated mtb youtubers going
Thanks!
Everyone agrees on that
Agree
Totally agree
damn i just realised he has "just" 32000 subs... his vids are really great and he seems like a really nice dude... love his soothing commentary while riding :D
Such an amazing bike!! I have the Elite model, it handles like crazy, and just eats up every inch of the trail. It’s a great bike, almost downhill like. Congrats on your new bike!!!! ENJOY!! (Hats of to Specialized!!)
Mmmmm, a bottle cage, must be nice haha. I need to get out to those trails, they look amazing! Congrats on the new whip! Love the color.
I really do love not wearing a pack on every ride. Come on up!
Does the bottle holder/cover rattle? Make noise? In another review, the guy complained about it, that he had to stuff paper towel inside to stop it.
Those trail look dope! We love the tutorial as you're riding. Cool, calm, collective and informative! Polite trail etiquette at 7:04 most riders would have blown by the slower rider
I have an 18 Enduro and love it! I've been eyeing that 2020 though. The Enduro does have a lot of travel for what I ride but I'm old and fat so I enjoy the extra cushion!
The tool storage was open!
Awesome! I cant get over how quiet the enduro is! 👌
Very good ride mate👊
I was so mesmerized by the beauty of that trail, I completely forgot about the bike.
Yet another mtn I haven't ridden yet. Glad to see/hear the new sled is treating you well!
Burke is amazing
@@VanCan So it seems :)
At the 11th hour I switched from the SC Hightower and bought the Enduro. Cheers for the reviews.
Nice riding man! Enjoy the new rig. May just take some time to get her dialed in. But once you do..... Oh boy!!!
“When it’s dry in the summer” 😅 Vancouver had different plans for us this year!
Just bought a new 29er as well (not Specialized) yet to take it out for a proper shakedown run, but looking forward to it even more now.
I think you made a good choice. Spec makes great bikes and you are guaranteed they’ll take care of you. YT not so much. They are cheap but the warranty isn’t there. My Tues cracked this season and when confronted for a warranty replacement they would not help me other than to offer a similar frame at a negligible discount. Wife has had technical issues they should resolve on her Jeffsy. All the rumors I’ve heard about their post purchase customer service have come true. She demoed this bike at Roam fest and loved it too.
Hey VanCan, great riding! Hucking a lot of drops there and the bike seemed to eat up the landing n/p. Love the new enduro. nothing like the old one which was a great bike too
I think this guy is one of my faves, would love to see a collaboration with Seth and Alexander as well though
New enduro looks way better than the old style enduro imo. I never did like the previous enduro frame style.
Man, those are awesome trails!
I Ordered it as well; comes for Christmas :) One thing i changed: The brakes. Dude get a pair of maguras; you will hear the wind and will enjoy the ride way more. haha. Have fun with it.
Roger Schäpper I would love magura if they didn’t make their lever bodies of plastic
@@seanhornchek6440 then do shigura :D!
@@noeserd I dont want wandering bite point and placebo contact adjustment. I wanna try trp levers on magura tho.
Imo Shimano are the best
@@benasquith26 I have ridden every major brand and the only shimanos I liked were the saints for the power
“A nice double black warm up”~Van Can 2019
About the climbing difference to the YT Capra 27, I believe it might be the uping to 29 and also, not mentioned here, the DPX2 that does a good supportive job.
Love the color. Looks even better in person.
Have you started messing around with volume spacers yet?
Geez I wish I had a trail like that here in UT, that dirt looks amazing compared to the moon dust we have a lot of the time.
hey man you should throw a trailforks link into your descriptions on the trails you ride in the intros and stuff, would be nice for us of those actually in vancouver!
I used to but I got lazy. I’ll try and do it from
Now on again!
Should compare suspension setups between new specialized enduro(fox) vs Capra with the Rockshox. See how pressures and volume spacers differ between them and thoughts on overall tunability between brands
Great video as always man! Will you be using the shockwiz to adjust the suspension on the new rig?
Maybe, but I feel like I’ve got a good intuition now
wow! That is some trail!!! Nice job!
love you vids man keep up the good work!!!
Thanks!
Nothing but the sound of freehub and nature on that bike. She is a lot more quite than my rig.
I love a quiet bike! But I also love a loud hub, I should have a new one next week!
How are you running your suspension for now. I have a Gt Force 29 Expert 2020. With the same suspension 170 up front but 150 outback. I have the fork on 75psi and 2 bottomless tokens and the shock pumped to 200 psi. Cheers from Croatia
Dude, that trail looks rad.
Awesome video, great bike! You are a good narrator even when your butt is all puckered!
Thanks!
Hii love all the content man. One of the main reason why i want to start biking! Just curious on ur opinion about getting a new or used bike for a first time MTN biker looking to get into the sport! Im in the Lower Mainland and looking for an Enduro! My friend told me to get a used and he has me second guessing as i'd love a new bike for the experience of it. Thank you :)
It’s up to you really. Buying used is good if you want to save money. But, if that’s not much of a concern than buying new is nice and you’ll get to know your local shop.
At 6:25 when entering the Ridden Art trail, did the swat tool cap shake open on its own?
Ya it seems to have opened a bit
Very stable footage and clear. What camera set up are you using on this vid? Nice bike!
Hero 7 in the karma grip
Burke is best...why didn't you climb up one of the lower trails? Flow and Fluid, I do it on Meta 4. Wonder if Enduro could handle it
Thinking of going to a new enduro from a 19 stumpy evo 29......still not sure. I still haven't really found the limit of the stumpy yet (which is pretty scary for a 140 bike)
This trail is terrifying to even watch. Holy crap!
Thanks for the video, which bike climbs the best? YT Capra or specialized?
I'm in doubt, thank you for the answer
The enduro seems to climb better. But not by a crazy amount
Awesome bike! Is there a certain RUclipsr that may have influenced the decision at all? Asking for a friend... ;)
Yoooo big fan of ur channel!!!
Now I can blame you if anything goes wrong 😝
Awesome MTB ohhh so you were the one that ruined it for the wallet friendly awesome YT community to go with an over priced bike. Smh
What was that large thing that flew of away from you into the distance at 4:50 very confused? Love your videos very underrated channel.
Just some wood I ran over
Im coming from a capra (27.5) to this too. picking mine up tomorrow
Meeen, you are living in the nountain bike paradise😍😍😍
Yup!
Great ride, thank you for your review !
Is it in high on low settings?
Pretty sure it’s in the low.
It's set low if it's new
nice bike footage and technical ride also!!!
Thanks!
Hi there! I am currently on a 2017 Specialized Stumpy 29er Expert. I am 6"1' and riding the large. I am looking at the Enduro and hoping for a little more room in the cockpit and a little more help on the steeper tech runs. I am an upper intermediate rider who was been riding in earnest on the shore for only a couple years. Rode Expresso today but also ride Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. Do you think I will notice a big difference with the Enduro and what size do you think I should go for (don't quite get the S2, 3, 4 etc.)? Cheers!
I’m 6ft and ride the S4. It’s a big bike so its good on the steep but can be tricky on tight tech
Try the organic trickstuff breaking pads for your Sram code. They are way quieter and make the code about 20% stronger
I'm really conflicted between the Enduro and the new Capra 29er pro race version. I demo'ed the Enduro (Elite) and thoroughly loved it, however for the same price you get top of the line components on the YT.
How would you rate the climbing ability of the Capra vs the Enduro? I live in the PNW which has awesome climbing trails for the most part.
The Capra is insane value and it climbs reasonably well. That being said I love my Enduro.
VanCan and you had the Capra 27? That’s the huge difference for climbing and being able to roll sick stuff in my eyes.
@@niklasdr if I remember correctly it was also the base model. Big difference.
That bike's paint is mesmerizing
Yup!
Nice Bike, Specialized rock. Yes they are $$$. I ride a Santa Cruz 130/120 and am looking to up grade to a longer travel and maybe carbon too. My short list is the Giant Reign, Ibis Ripmo, Santa Cruz Hightower. I was looking at the Stumpjumper too. It's down to more than likely the first 2 I believe. I live in Georgia in the SE and just north of Atlanta. My trails are hilly but the mountains are about 2 hours north of me. That's why I want more travel for the mountains. My locals trails are fine with less over all. I'm wanting 150/140 min. I would like carbon but might stay with ALM and a good build most seem to be coming with NX would prefer GX and rockshock suspension. Well my budget is 3K to maybe 3.5K which is tough to get much any more. Wish I had another 1000 to 1500 to spent but not doing it.
What is it like on more techy climbs? Like riding i up rocks and roots at low speed...where you have to pedal?
Doable, but clearly not an XC bike.
Nice, seems quite nimble for an Enduro bike. So, I wonder how many people have ridden that log at the 7:00 mark hehe.
Great riding! That Enduro ate up those jumps well. I'm sure once you dial in the suspension, the ride will get better.
Waiting for mine to arrive in a couple weeks (got the comp, lower price point). Could you elaborate more on the 'rock getting crushed in suspension linkage risk'? Where did you hear that? Has it happened to anyone? Spec say anything about it? Etc.
The comp is great value! If they would have had the black model, I would have bought that and swapped a few parts.
The shop told me because it happened to one of their employees. Specialized told them they will cover this damage under warranty for now.
@@VanCan Yup - Swapping parts from my current bike onto the Comp is the plan! Glad to hear Spesh covered the frame. Was a little worried about that when you mentioned it previously. Cheers
Did you cut your handlebars a bit or stock? Thanks.
You just seem like a genuine dude who I would like to have a beer with 🤙
How much does the bike weigh?
You cleaned the climb up that awful gravel road to Deliverance? Wow, I end up pushing with 30/46 granny gear.
Ya hah, it was rough
Is this a bike that you would pedal for longer rides that have big dh rewards? How do you think it would handle tech climbing?
I’ve done some tech climbs. It’s fine, but long. I’d take it on a long ride. I’ll do Lord of the Squirrels this summer
8:33 I guess someone just got a very bad flat tyre lol
Hey @VanCan how do you like the Spec butcher tires that come with the bike? Keen to get your thoughts on those. Cheers
So far so good
@@VanCan cool 👍 was debating swapping them out for maxxis when the bike arrives but I'll give these a go. Thanks
How is this enduro compared to the megatower.
Hi thanks for the share ! Do you think you would pleased on this bike to ride long flat distances ? Yours !
It wouldn’t be ideal, but it would work.
that is one beast of a bike
Where are the actual north shore trails(or the trails you often ride in your vids?)
On fromme and Seymour.
So whats the verdict? I didnt hear a clear verdict. Is it worth it?
I really like that bike. But i dont like 29er. I very comfortable with 27.5
I don’t think there is a clear verdict. Just considering money, the Capra is insane value, but I’m really like the way the enduro rides.
Did you testride the bikes?
Are you enjoying the ride of the bike?
It is a wicked looking bike
Hey, where’s this trail located?
Tell you what Nick. You ridings great. But that bike is soooo quiet!.
I've never demonstrated a speccy that I didn't like yet. They know what they are doing.
Nice bike, but the most important question is, what have you called her?
Im just new in Mountain biking, can u suggest a trail here in Vancouver for beginners like me? Thanks!😊
Bobsled and road side attraction on Fromme
What size did you go with and how tall are you
Are you saying there is such a thing as a dry summer in Vancouver?
2 summers ago was crazy dry and we had a lot of fires!
Was looking at this same bike. I'm 6'5" so I ride a big bike already.
Were you under fire? Drooling over that paint!
Gun range
Realistically how well or not does it climb? Compared to say a 140-160 travel bike like a Hightower or Stumpjumper? I’d it significantly worse? About to maybe buy the enduro but suck at climbs already with asthma and wonder if I should stick to shorter travel. Mind you weight wise enduro is same as Hightower C
I’m not sure. I haven’t done any long rides on a trail bike.
VanCan ok no problems. I’m just torn up as I’m a one bike person and this is a lot of bike to be just the one
What about something like the new Norco Sight?
VanCan I was about to buy one but they’re all sold out here in Switzerland!! I even know the importer and he said yep no more.
VanCan what the hell only live once so I bought one 😎👍
where is this trail ? Nice full parking lot , has to be good ?
Burke in Coquitlam
hi did you ride megatower?
9:13 wtf was that noise?! was that a gunshot or a pedal strike 😂
There’s a gun range near by
i heard a ton of them, and i was like "is it hunting season there?"
I thought it was a tree
How much was it
Sick video!
I'm thinking about buying the sworks model. Is it worth it?
Arnold Wutscher no
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
This one or the sb150? What are your thoughts?
I’d have to try the yeti first
Are there situations where the Capra would be better?
The really slow tech
Yikes.....I hear some buyer's remorse in first full ride video 😱....you are still getting comfortable with the bike. It is a great bike, so go shred and have fun!
No it’s more about comparing the value with YT. I like this bike better than the Capra, but it came at a price.
I like YT bikes but I reckon you need a coil shock to get the best out of them because they are so progressive
Is it as nibble as it appears in the video? Also, are you on flat pedals? Bob T.
Feels pretty nimble for how big it is. Always flats!
I just changed to flats. It's definitely different. Glad to hear your positive comments. Also, going uphill...it's not a race so to me, climbing is not that critical. But good to hear it climbs well for you.
Gopro footage does those steep bits no justice
nice bike!
How do you like the brakes?
I absolutely hate them
YT Factory Racing why? Never tried them just wondering
@@schooper. they have absolutely no power, had them on my V10 and after the first bikepark day i bought some saints. They are the best brake money can buy
Codes are plenty powerful. I'd argue they are as powerful, if not, slightly less powerful than the saints. I own both.
Would you recommend someone to that particular bike?
Of course, if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t have bought it ha
Because I was looking at one, and I didn’t know if it was worth $6,550.
Hey man what’s the actual weight of the bike?
no idea
8:33 was that a Shot?!
Ya sounds like a few went off
Deer gun season is this entire week on this side of the country. Trails are closed everywhere.
@Dave Franklin Dave, excuse me? Might be different hunting laws here than there.... but I was simply stating, we have a deer season that is specifically scheduled for havest using shotguns. And during these dates we call "shotgun deer season" most all trails are closed at our public riding areas. I shoot long range rifle matches, have a concealed carry, and am a member at Thunder Valley Precision in the state of Ohio. Feel free to look it up. Not sure what your laughing about. Maybe you simply mis-understood. No biggie. God Bless, and long live God, Guns, and the Republic.
Dave Franklin we shoot deer in Ohio with smooth bore shotguns using Rifled Slugs. Take care man. Not sure why you are triggered.
Dave Franklin if I shot a deer with a rifle here I’d got to jail.
is it an S4 and are you 5,10"? thanks
Yes and 6ft
What size Enduro did you get?
I’m 6’ and I got the S4
Is this filmed from chin mount?
No. Gimbal
so ... capra vs enduro 29? pro's & cons
That’s a hard question. I might need to make a video on it.
What is it that you find 29ers too big for?
Trails and jumps that are tight.
I started out on a 29er and have never ridden a 27.5 so I can't compare....I'm surprised that there is that big of a difference. I feel 29 is a good choice for our PNW trails though...I have a nimble bike with tires that can plow over most obstacles lol :)
9:16 sounds like there were hunters in the area
There's shooting range at the bottom of the mountain
I thought I heard it too. Lol.
Ya you might have to be a bit of a bullet dodger riding around there
Indeed
