  • You can’t turn on the news without hearing about the potential for the Airbnb Bust to crash the housing market.
In this video, we will discuss how one particular local housing market - Joshua Tree - is showing signs of crashing due to the Airbnbust.
Joshua Tree is a small, artsy community that serves as a hub for visitors to the Joshua Tree National Park.
Droves of Airbnb owners in Joshua Tree are being forced to sell or reconsider their Airbnb business because demand has been decimated. As a result, the housing market is showing signs of crashing.

Sorry to nitpick, but the constant zooming in/out and cuts when you’re talking at your desk is kind of jarring. Maybe it’s me since I’m on my phone in a dark room but it’s hard to watch. Good content though.

I found that and the quick cut style irritating and a little disturbing also. Makes the video feel manic Ave chaotic and takes away from the message.

      Agreed, too much unnecessary movement.

I'm good with air bnb and landlords left holding the bag, i like the desert area and the interesting homes people build out there (earth sihps) i would love to build one but i couldn' see paying 700k-1.5mil.

I looked into possibly buying in Joshua Tree in 2021 but the city banned any new Airbnb listing but nearby at 29 Palms was still allowing it but it was easy to tell it was oversaturated and overpriced.
I grew up thinking it was a low income area and couldn't understand why it got so popular.

Joshua Tree is unincorporated (not a city) with an uncaring board of County Supervisors 80 miles away in downtown San Bernardino. AirBnB probably banned new listings KNOWING that Joshua Tree was over saturated with STRs (Short Term Rentals) and wanting to protect their current listings. Our County still gives permits for STRs in Joshua Tree - they don't care. ruclips.net/video/dpB3ieNEPB0/видео.html

Investors go away. You take the housing away for locals.

They were a pox on the Morongo Basin. Give us back our affordable homes for locals. Go back to LA.
