Point being, as Suris said, casual sex doesn't guarantee getting or spreading STIs (hooray for safer sex practices and destigmatizing regular STI testing), nor does a monogamous relationship insure against STIs, and 100% abstinence is not a realistic expectation for the vast majority of people interested in sex.

On spoons+hygiene; Its one thing to not take care of yourself in your own home, but if you are going out for an event you HAVE to clean up. whether that's a shower, a bath, or a soapy rag. There are always options to clean up and cut the smell (and no, washing does NOT clear BO, so you NEED deodorant). It can be hard to figure out how to do it with disabilities, but it doesnt mean there isnt a way.

A metaphor for the amount of mental energy someone has. You have a finite number of "spoons" you can spend on different activities. If you're worn out from a long day at work you might not have the energy to cook for example.
When I go to conventions I find the spoons to shower every day. When I'm at home, I am lacking in those spoons and shower less often. Only my girlfriend has to smell me though because when I don't shower I don't shave when I don't shave I can't present as a woman. 🏳️⚧️ On the bright side I have been forming the habit of taking a sponge bath everyday.
