- Mahatma Gandhi, the defining figure of Indian freedom struggle against British colonial rule in India is known by most as an anti-imperialist, whose peaceful non-violent methods helped to overthrow British rule in India. Today there might be trends on social media inspired from the Whatsap university that try to demean father of the Nation and increase the influence of his killer Godse but these fake trends cannot change the course of history and facts.
On the eve of his birthday we debunk 5 common myths about Gandhi that have been repeated often enough that they are considered to be true in today’s time.

If u read Bhagat singh's book Why am i an athiest...u will knw what kind of legend he is!! .n most importantly his last letter to his father! he himself didn't wanted to come out of prison no matter! Thank you for this!!! As someone who always admired Gandhi's fight for India, I was so confused at what seems to be a diluge of wrong information being promoted against Gandhi. It's a shame this young generation are learning to disrespect Gandhiji from some very popular names.

@Go Jo You read that he slept naked with his niece, but didn't bother to find out why? For Gandhi, that was his experiment to test his celibacy. He did that because he believed that the rising Hindu-Muslim enmity and communalism, which he was failing to stop, was happening because of his own imperfections like sexual desire and he also wanted to test his commitment to the vow of celibacy which he had taken long back. You might find it disagreeable and inappropriate. But, it could also be said that he went to such extents to test his own commitment to his principles which he preached to the world.
As far as I know, he went to Noakhali amidst rising communal riots to alleviate the situation and bring peace, while the nation was celebrating independence. And he was more or less successful in his endeavor. Regions where Gandhi went at that time saw much less violence. I'm unaware of his views on Moplah rebellion. But, I'm sure he couldn't support violence coming from anyone.
His views about Africans do seem racist, which he had while working as a young lawyer in South Africa. Similarly, he showed signs of passive casteism when he opposed Ambedkar's bid to give a separate political identity to Dalits and supported the 'Chaturvarna' system, even though he campaigned against untouchablity across the country. He also didn't treat his wife well and believed in gender roles, even though he supported the individual liberty of women. So, modern feminists might also find him to be patriarchal. He also had too much of an idealistic view of life perhaps because he was deeply religious. He was a complex personality with controversial (for that time) but unique views.
Gandhi had his imperfections like every other human being. We're yet to find a perfect human being who satisfies all standards of morality. If you judge all historical personalities with modern yardsticks of morality and values, none of them would be perfect. Even Einstein, the most celebrated scientist, was a philanderer/womaniser and a terrible husband. Though that doesn't take away anything from his contributions to science.

कुछ सवाल देशभक्त के टीम के लिये और जो भी अपने आपको Historian समझता हो. जिससे लोगो के शंका का समाधान मिल सके. ये सवाल काँग्रेसवाली 'आजादी' के बारे मे है.
1. अंग्रेजोने काँग्रेस क्यों बनाई? अंग्रेजो क्या मकसद था क्ँग्रेस को खडा करने मे? स्कुलोमे क्यों छुपाया जाता है कि काँग्रेस कि स्थापना अंग्रेजोने कि थी? हमे ईसके पिछे का अंग्रेजो का मकसद क्यों नही बताया जाता? ईस तरह से ईतिहास मे बखान किया जाता है जैसे यहाँ के कोई देशभक्त ईकठ्ठा होकर देश को आजाद करने के पार्टी बनाई थी.
2. शुरआतमे 20 साल तक पार्टी मे धनवान और जिनको आजादी से कोई लेना देना नही था ऐसे लोग क्यों थे? बिस साल तक कौनसा जनता का हित साध रहे थे या आजादी के प्रयत्न कर रहे थे?
3. जब 1905 मे लाल, बाल, पाल अंग्रेजो के खिलाफ खडे हुये थे तब लिबरल काँग्रेसीयोने उनका साथ क्यों नही दिया? तो फिर काँग्रेस अंग्रेजो शासन के favour मे क्यों थी? लाल, बाल, पाल को पार्टी से निकालना यही दर्शाता है काँग्रेस अंग्रेज शासन के खिलाफ लड नही रही थी बल्कि साथ दे रही थी. बाद मे बाल को देश के बाहर जेल. पाल को retirement दिलवा दिया. कुछ समय बाद अंग्रेजोने लाल को भी मार दिया.
4. 1921 मे non cooperation movement मे गांधीजी ने बीच मे हि आंदोलन क्यों छोड दिया? हिंसा के कारण? ये सबसे बडा eyewash है. वैसे भी 35 साल मे काँग्रेसीयोने कौनसी हिंसा कि थी? लाल, बाल, पाल के आंदोलन के बारे मे नही पता था गांधीजीको कि आजादी के आंदोलन मे हिंसा होती है? मतलब लोगो का pressure आता तो ये लिबरल काँग्रेसी आंदोलन करने लगते और हिंसा होती तो अहिंसा का नाम लेकर आंदोलन बंद कर देते और अंग्रेज शासन को बचा लेते. ईनको अंग्रेजो कि ईतनी फिक्र क्यों थी?
5. काँग्रेस और मुस्लिम लिग अंग्रेजो के साथ मिलकर different provinces मे election क्यो लड रही थी? मतलब अंग्रेज सरकार को साथ क्यों दे रही थी?मतलब ये लोग अंग्रेजोसे मिले हुये थे तभी चुनाव लड रहे थे. सिर्फ british समर्थक पार्टीयाँ ही क्यों election लड रही थी?ये तो अंग्रेजो के साथ चुनाव मे मस्त थे और जनता को बेवकुफ बना रहे थे.
6.देशभक्त लोग जैसे लाल, बाल, पाल, बोस ईनको पार्टी से क्यों निकाला गया? उनके ऐसे कौनसे views थे जो काँग्रेस को पसंद नही आये? जो भी अंग्रेजो से आजादी पाने कि बात करता उसे पार्टी बाहर का रास्ता क्यों दिखाती?
सही बात ये है काँग्रेस को पता चल गया था अभी आम जनता को बेवकुफ बनाना आसान नही और अंग्रेज भी समझ घये थे अपनी ईज्जत बचाने कि बारी आ गयी है. और जाते जाते अपने वफादार लोगो को सत्ता सौंप कर चली गयी. अंग्रेजोके सभी काले कारनामे काँग्रेसने दफना दिये.
6. काँग्रेसने कांतिकिरीयोंको पेंशन या स्वतंत्रता सेनानीयोंका दर्जा क्यों नही दिया?
यही कारण काँग्रेस और मुस्लिम लिग का एक भी नेता ना ही फाँसी पर लटका, ना ही कालेपानी कि सजा हुयी ना ही अंग्रेजो कि गोलीयों से मरा.
ईस तरह अंग्रेज काँग्रेस और मुस्लिम लिग के भरोसे ईस देश को तकरीबन 40 साल ज्यादा लुट कर चले गये. जितना लुटा उतने पैसो मे उस समय कि दुनीया कि सारी technology खरीद सकता था.

1. It wrongly narrated. British founded congress through a british agent i.e. AO Hume. British govt won't directly do that. He was first gen secy of congress. British wanted to have control of the congress. What is interest of british agent to gather loyalist intellectuals from all over India? They came to loot us and not for reforms. But reforms are highlighted more. Their reforms means they divided Indian community with help of these loyal liberal communists.
2. That time India was miles ahead in textile technology and steel. Who were more civilized? How uncivilised culture can be ahead in textile and steel technology? British projected image of hindu culture as oppressive and that helped them to bring minority on their side. Communist liberal congressi(anti-hindu)+muslims+parsis+bengalies were given more representation in british govt. Thus majority was sidelined by british tactfully. Factually, it was fight for Indian power between communist liberal congressi+Islamist+lower cast against majority(was kept in dialema by communist as they kept in next 60 years after independence)+ revolutionaries+radicals likes of Lal, Bal, Pal, Bose etc).
Those were in British camp, they succeeded.

Bhagat singh, Subhash chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi and many more freedom fighters were very brave and clear about there narrative but now a days we the people do not understand that who did right and who did wrong. It reminds me the lines said by Sardar Udham singh to a british " I don't hate british people. I hate British imperialism". This was the strength of their mind.

2. शुरआतमे 20 साल तक पार्टी मे धनवान और जिनको आजादी से कोई लेना देना नही था ऐसे लोग क्यों थे? बिस साल तक कौनसा जनता का हित साध रहे थे या आजादी के प्रयत्न कर रहे थे?
3. जब 1905 मे लाल, बाल, पाल अंग्रेजो के खिलाफ खडे हुये थे तब लिबरल काँग्रेसीयोने उनका साथ क्यों नही दिया? तो फिर काँग्रेस अंग्रेजो शासन के favour मे क्यों थी? लाल, बाल, पाल को पार्टी से निकालना यही दर्शाता है काँग्रेस अंग्रेज शासन के खिलाफ लड नही रही थी बल्कि साथ दे रही थी. बाद मे बाल को देश के बाहर जेल. पाल को retirement दिलवा दिया. कुछ समय बाद अंग्रेजोने लाल को भी मार दिया.
4. 1921 मे non cooperation movement मे गांधीजी ने बीच मे हि आंदोलन क्यों छोड दिया? हिंसा के कारण? ये सबसे बडा eyewash है. वैसे भी 35 साल मे काँग्रेसीयोने कौनसी हिंसा कि थी? लाल, बाल, पाल के आंदोलन के बारे मे नही पता था गांधीजीको कि आजादी के आंदोलन मे हिंसा होती है? मतलब लोगो का pressure आता तो ये लिबरल काँग्रेसी आंदोलन करने लगते और हिंसा होती तो अहिंसा का नाम लेकर आंदोलन बंद कर देते और अंग्रेज शासन को बचा लेते. ईनको अंग्रेजो कि ईतनी फिक्र क्यों थी?
5. काँग्रेस और मुस्लिम लिग अंग्रेजो के साथ मिलकर different provinces मे election क्यो लड रही थी? मतलब अंग्रेज सरकार को साथ क्यों दे रही थी?मतलब ये लोग अंग्रेजोसे मिले हुये थे तभी चुनाव लड रहे थे. सिर्फ british समर्थक पार्टीयाँ ही क्यों election लड रही थी?ये तो अंग्रेजो के साथ चुनाव मे मस्त थे और जनता को बेवकुफ बना रहे थे.
6.देशभक्त लोग जैसे लाल, बाल, पाल, बोस ईनको पार्टी से क्यों निकाला गया? उनके ऐसे कौनसे views थे जो काँग्रेस को पसंद नही आये? जो भी अंग्रेजो से आजादी पाने कि बात करता उसे पार्टी बाहर का रास्ता क्यों दिखाती?
सही बात ये है काँग्रेस को पता चल गया था अभी आम जनता को बेवकुफ बनाना आसान नही और अंग्रेज भी समझ घये थे अपनी ईज्जत बचाने कि बारी आ गयी है. और जाते जाते अपने वफादार लोगो को सत्ता सौंप कर चली गयी. अंग्रेजोके सभी काले कारनामे काँग्रेसने दफना दिये.
6. काँग्रेसने कांतिकिरीयोंको पेंशन या स्वतंत्रता सेनानीयोंका दर्जा क्यों नही दिया?
यही कारण काँग्रेस और मुस्लिम लिग का एक भी नेता ना ही फाँसी पर लटका, ना ही कालेपानी कि सजा हुयी ना ही अंग्रेजो कि गोलीयों से मरा.
ईस तरह अंग्रेज काँग्रेस और मुस्लिम लिग के भरोसे ईस देश को तकरीबन 40 साल ज्यादा लुट कर चले गये. जितना लुटा उतने पैसो मे उस समय कि दुनीया कि सारी technology खरीद सकता था.

But after the British put down India after the war once again, he realized that depending on the British would not work. Hence, he started the Non Cooperation movement and the Civil Disobedience movement.

But when Gandhiji used non violence to fight the British, every violent act the British used to put down the movement humiliated them on the world stage. For your kind information, yes Gandhi was against partition but it was Nehru's adamont to become Prime Minister and since Gandhi also wanted it, so yes it was both gandhi and Nehru that divided India. But yes, I happy that India got divided other wise it would be difficult for India to maintane harmony in Akhand Bharat.
