Cracking video, the landscape looked outstanding and the waterfall. Cracking spot for a camp. Great bit of history and folklore ATB Dan 👍 👍 👍 👍 Funny when you stumbled in stream🤣🤣
Yup, that’s a really magical bit of the Cheviots, great place to camp. I tend to leave my mistakes in the video ‘cos there’s nowt funnier than watching folk fall over 😂 TFW, Graham 👍
Aha! I knew there was another Rush fan out there! Can't beat 1980's Rush! Permanent waves, Moving pictures, Signals ! Thanks for the sub 👍All, the best, Graham
@@grahamswildcamping it’s a nice spot for a clamber (bird band permitting), but it’s a bit green normally. On the plus side never seen more than one group there.
That was a close call in the water mate🤣 Brilliant Graham, such a good place to camp! Thanks for the mention too😁👍🏻 You should get yourself up there for a bivi one day it’s a great spot. Nice to see you’ve met Emz too, good stuff. Cheers mate, great vid🍻 Atb, Mark
I'm always tripping over stuff, guess I'm just clumsy 😂. I thought that was the spot you bivvied at, although I wasn't specifically looking for it. It's a wonderful spot and now I've found it it's def in my store of potential camp spots. Thanks for watching Mark, ATB 👍👍
Hi Graham, I love the Hen Hole, it has a mystical feel about the place. Only ever visited once a few years ago. Was passing through on a long hike but wished I'd camped there because the place feels magical. On the way up the gorge I was crossing the stream contantly, looking for the path where there is none and becomes a grade one scramble or even rock climbing if you fancy it. Such is the beauty of the Hen Hole, I could live there or more realistically, camp for a few days.
I remember your video, it was one of the things which eventually inspired me to get up here and explore it. Very unique place with a great atmosphere. Definitely be up for camping here again. TFW 👍
Love the hen hole but I've never ventured past the waterfall, looks like I'll have to have an explore, thanks for the guided tour Be careful in them pools😂
My favourite place in the world is the henhole and college valley. There's so many tales about the hen hole, such a fascinating place. You're right, it can be eerie at times but I always think it's eerily beautiful. There's a tale from years ago about a woman who had been up the hen hole in July and was having a beer in the pub in Wooler after her hike and was telling some people that there was snow still there, a fella didn't believe her so he bet her £50 to prove it so she went back up and brought him a chunk of snow back down. I reckon it would have melted if she had by the time she got by down the valley 🤣🤣. I've heard strange noises up there once when I was coming off the hills past the hen hole, like whispering. Very strange 🤔. I've also heard horses hooves up on the track from blaewerie near my house before. Cracking video Greame and good to meet you. Not sure I'm famous but more infamous around these parts 🤣🤣. Good to meet you both 💗🥾
Was good to meet you too, lovely coincidence. First time I've been to the henhole and definately one of my favourites now. It's got a character all its own. Beautiful and eerie at the same time. Blaewearie is another favourite place, I've camped there a few times before I started videoing. Real sense of history there with a beautiful rock garden and wistful atmosphere. Thanks very much! 👍👍👍
Nice one Graham, I’m sure you’ve heard of the book by the 8th Duke of Northumberland called “Shadow on the Moor”. Hard to get a hold of but a fascinating folk tale.

Those pools are tempting but who knows what tricks the faye would play? 😂
It really is a cracking place to explore with an atmosphere all it's own.

Your camp has given me the itch ! To get up there
Funny you should say that, your last video has given me the idea for an ultra-local school night camp 👍
