Ta for posting; great video, reminded me I'd always wanted to visit Hen Hole, but not got round to it. So I went up yesterday, having driven through flooded roads after Mondays relentless downpours, including 3-4 ft of water at Chatton. Thet was scary. College Valley road was dry but the paths from the bunkhouse were frequently submerged, but not too deep. The great thing about Mondays rain was that the burn was great to see in spate, gushing dramatically down the gorge. The 3 Sisters fall was spectacular with huge volumes of extra water crashing down. Sadly the extra water made the burn too wide to cross. I climbed a little way up the right hand bank, but the rocks were slippy and the softer ground was giving way, so I came out of HH and had a bimble along the Pennine Way via Red Cribs. A great day out, really enjoyed it, thanks again.
Great video. We were just up there yesterday but did the opposite way round. Still some snow and still very quiet. Ideal! Thanks for the upload. We will do your route next time.
Looked a tough route up Hen Hole to the summit. We were shattered the day after having our jabs, so you did really well doing that walk the day after having your jab. Great stuff. Cheers. Eddie.
Great video, one of my favourite places the Hen hole
Enjoyed it
I hope to get back to Hen Hole this winter time. Considering Bizzle Crags also as haven’t been there yet
Nice video. Hope to do this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing
Thanks 👍 Enjoy your walk and take care as it’ll be a bit icy up there. Weather looks nice for it.
Was up there just a few days ago. First time up this neck of the woods. Loved it.
Lush place to visit ❤️

Pleased you enjoyed the day. Hen Hole is still my favourite place in the Cheviots. Did you get any video footage or photos?
@@cheviotoutdoors Took a few hasty shots of the falls etc but no videos
Looks a bit like Iceland in the summer with the snow drifts...fine waterfall views!
Was soooooo cold in the wind 🥶

Thank you! It’s my favourite place in the Cheviots. Hope you enjoy the reverse route 👍

Thanks Eddie. The grassy bit near the top was the steepest and most challenging part!
