Glad you posted this precise video. Showed me how to break down mine, and I'm surprised how well designed, and easy these transmission are to pull apart. (Bad input shaft bearing that broke and made TOB/fork noise) appreciate the help Matt!
i think i have video on doing that repair posted trans had a dcr ball and they have a small base and it pushed into the case damaging the case and the extra pressure snapped off the retainer sleeve so it got a case swap and one went in the pile. about 12 min in ruclips.net/video/24CkG9pELyE/видео.htmlsi=Fx44106fIOJQ64bp
is there any way you can point me to where the reverse switch on these transmissions is? I've been trying to figure out why my car has no reverse lights but i can't see any switch on my transmission.
if the transmission is installed in the car its right next to the transmission mount on the LSD side of the transmission. 2 wire switch with a short plug. cant miss it.
at 9:26 the part of the case hes popping off, there is a missing sensor on the side facing the camera. that should be where the reverse sensor goes. probably hard to see when the trans is mounted in the car because of the trans mount and battery tray.
What a mess. Isn't rtv used on the end cover? it being steel to aluminum? They just used too much? The rest aluminum to aluminum anaerobic sealant. I love your transmission teardowns.
i just reseal the whole case now with the anaerobic for everything If I had to guess the end was a sealant close to what was used for the engine bed plate but its no longer available

Good to know. Thanks@@Mattsneedforspeed
I’ve always used Mopar anaerobic sealant.
