      I used to burn my neighbors stuff. She tried so hard to get me to pay for it. Took me to court filed police reports recorded me.... but all of her things were on my property and as I left them there for a few days, it was considered to be abandoned junk, especially since my land had been previously surveyed. There was nothing she could do just short of keeping her things off my property. She tried to remedy this by paving over my property and expanding her driveway. She ruined my yard, my flower bed and my fence. I sued her so hard, and because she now owed over 7,000 in damages, she sold her house and moved. Now it's a teacher living there, and my brother is now her neighbor. She's a delight.

    I used to have a neighbor like this. My other neighbors warned me about her when I moved in.
    the first week I actually did bake cookies and brought them over as an introductory gift and offered some tea. We talked, turned out she was pretty lonely so we sort of became friends and from then on she became fiercly protective of me and came to me to gossip about others. It could get annoying but I never had any problems with her.

    I learned the hard way to call the police after the third incident of harassment and after 2 attempts to discuss the issue with my former petty neighbor. The final incident was discovering my petty neighbor forced her dog to drop feces in my yard, something she was doing for over three months until I caught her. Took photos to the police. Police asked if I wanted to press felony charges! That type of harassment leads neighbors to kill neighbors. So, they end it quickly by punishing harassers before they go too far. I asked them to give a warning because her three teenage children (16, 16, and 17 years old) would have been charged because of their involvement. Never had any issues after the police explained it to them!😂

    I had a neighbor that ran a bakery out of her house, she would kick people out of the public parking in front of mine and leave notes on my familys cars. I worked 12 hour night shifts as a nurses aide and she wouldn’t have loud parties right next to my bed room. One night I asked her to keep it down the music was so loud it sounded like it was in my house and I was trying to take an anatomy final. She was super condescending because “ it wasn’t that late” but I’ve been listening to this for hours at this point. So as petty revenge I picked up all the dog poop her dog leaves in my yard (no one in my house had a dog) and proceeded to throw it over the fence at her party and when she came to yell at me I told her if I have to deal with her shit she could have some of it back

    The problem in the US with letting this go is that, after a certain period of time, the neighbor could claim that as her property, if they’ve done nothing to stop her. It’s called adverse possession. She has called the cops, it’s time to hire a lawyer to send her a cease and desist order. If she doesn’t comply, it’s pretty easy to file a request in court for an injunction, and she will then face fines and/or jail time for contempt of a court order.

    • @danhnguyen-fn9eb
      @danhnguyen-fn9eb Год назад +6

      When this happened they should of asked her nicely one time to cease and desist, and record it per the law. If it happened again,(which it did), call the police themselves. Because you're right. You have to be vigilant about your property and legal rights. The thing that sticks out is they just bought the place. Part of the process is showing where the property lines are. So, when she continued I would of put a stake of my own at the line and told her that's as far as her fence could go. She must of had an agreement with the previous owners and assumed it would continue with the new owners.

We live in Michigan, and one of our neighbors is Canadian. She gives zero fucks. She doesn’t care if we touch her property, and she usually lets us borrow anything we don’t have for our yard. We take turns shoveling each other’s driveways, and bringing in the garbage cans. Our other neighbor is a nice older gentleman, and he has the best grass on the whole block. We shovel his side walk all of the time, and he returns the favor too. When we moved in, we were so worried we’d have asshole neighbors. They were worried about us too. 😂 I love my whole block. The best thing this couple can do is call a surveyor and mark the property line clearly with those little flags because it's going to be necessary if she builds a fence which sounds like Gretchen Grumpypants is going to do.
    We have a camp that shares our driveway with us and they tried to say we kept parking and using their property. My dad simply called a surveyor and discovered our property extended farther than we thought and THEY were actually the ones that kept technically trespassing and damaging our property 😂

Talk to her (which I know would not have worked, but it's putting her on notice). 2 .Put up a stake myself to attach the fence to. 3. Thrown anything she put on my property in the trash immediately the first time AND continue to throw away ANYTHING of hers that touched my property. Just saying...

Well, it’s mine now and it’s going in the trash after I take pictures of the trash she threw on my property (to try and get her for vandalism, littering, or destruction of property), put up security cameras to catch her in the act, then I’d be having a solid, very tall fence put between our properties.

    This situation reminds me so much of the problems my family and I had with our neighbor. For context, this neighbor has kinda always been annoying, for example, throwing his trash onto our property, parking his shit on our property, and blasting loud music into the early hours of the morning when he has people over. Those are all just mild annoyances compared to the situation that happened years ago.
    So our property has an underground electric fence for our dogs and our neighbor also has electric fence collars for his dogs that he never puts on them. This led to his dogs coming onto our property all the time and doing their business here (mind you we live on 2 acres of rural plains), which isn't much of a problem just another mild annoyance, but it didn't end there. Things then escalated, and our neighbor's dogs started attacking our dogs while on our property (mind you, our dogs aren't aggressive in any way). Of course, this pissed my dad off, so he started off small and would go over and tell our neighbor to get control of his dogs and keep them off our property. Well, that clearly didn't work as his dogs kept attacking ours. So my dad escalated and called the cops, that didn't work either since our neighbor made the excuse his property line was actually almost all the way next to our driveway when in reality it ended next to his driveway, some 150 ft away from where he thought it was. My dad called the cops again a few times after that and that still didn't fix the issue. So, my dad found the original paperwork that outlined our property lines, showed it to our neighbor, and then proceeded to build a fence on that side of the property. After the fence was built I remember clearly my dad saying, "if his damn dogs want to come on our property now, they have to go on the street and possibly get hit by a car." (Mind you, this man said to us multiple times he was going to shoot his dogs if they ever came on our property again.) Well, the fence fixed the issue and his dogs haven't come onto our property again.

    This petty neighbor thing reminds me of a feud I had with a neighbor. We had an outdoor hookup for a hose, and my neighbor wanted to fill up a kiddie pool from it. We said no, because it wasn't a little wading pool, it was a HUGE 3-4 foot deep swimming pool. So she sent her kids (2 beautiful and adorable little girls) and when we told them no, they went away looking sad. Well, the next day a friend came over when I was cleaning and said something about the river in the road. I was like "yeah, I can hear it. I was waiting for the weather to get better before I go out". She looks at me funny and tells me to look outside. The "river" was coming from.....guess where? My neighbor had climbed our fence and ran a hose and filled up her pool anyway. Left it running for so long that both of our backyards had flooded and it was now running down the street. So we called the police and they recommended we pull the hose into our yard and ask them to pay for it when they come after it. Stupid me believed them when they said we could handle it ourselves. They sent those little girls after the hose, and I very nicely told them that their mommy needed to come and get it "because it's big and heavy and dirty. I don't want you to get all icky". So, I'm sitting inside and I see the hose moving of it's own accord. Mommy had crawled onto our porch and was pulling it inch-by-inch off the porch. When I confronted her, she went bat$h!t and even SPAT IN MY FACE. I called the cops and reported an assault. They refused to even file a report. Told the woman to pay our water bill when it came to avoid prosecution. The bill came and it was overr $40 usd higher than usual. We taped it to their door. She ripped it up and stuck it in our mailbox. We called the cops, and they said it wasn't their problem, and to take them to civil court. We ended up just giving in because I was only 21 and it was the mid 90s. No one cared about a law abiding 20-something couple who was being harassed by Britney in her Daisy Dukes.

Keep in mind this neighbor is the guy my mom drove for heart surgery, invited for holidays, etc. then one day out of the blue called the cops because of our dogs barking. The cops told us we were fine and we weren’t being cited. Cue my mom going off on our neighbor for calling the cops. Two years later he still calls the cops on us and has tried to get us cited multiple times. The entire PD is aware and have repeatedly told us that our dogs are actually well behaved and they don’t know why he calls the police about it. The best part is one time the police showed up the neighbors dog was barking and so the cop said if he kept pushing the issue they would issue him a citation since his dog was barking (ours weren’t). It sucks having neighbors who are just terrible people.

      Our neighbor when I was a kid kept telling my mom our garage was two feet on her property. My mom ignored her, and the neighbors husband was really embarrassed about the whole thing. Our house was one of the oldest houses in the neighborhood and my parents lived there long before her house was even built. She would just periodically go into the garage rant through the years, with her husband being embarrassed and telling her to shut up. Cut to my mom taking out a loan on our home for some renovations. Blueprints and surveyor not only disproved my neighbors claim, but her fence was two feet on our property. Her husband howled with laughter and let her know if my mom wanted, she could make her move her fence. I honestly dearly loved my neighbors, she could just be a pain on occasion. My mom was like a duck though. It just rolled off her back and never made her get petty about things.

    1. Trash
    2. Donations
    3. Make a nice fire with the wood items. The rest I would have to find a way to make yard art with it.

    I had a couple moving next door to me. I am a single mom with two kids, just for reference. The very first day they moved in, the "husband" asked me if I wanted to sleep with them, or just him? Umm, eww,no! I politely as I could declined. This happened on many more occasions as the year went on. I started to just ignore him and finally told his wife. She said i had to be lying. Then things got worse, my male neighbor kept causing trouble, I like locking the front door to the apartments, which nobody had the key to.... Landlord always said he was going to put a new key/lock system and give us a key but never did, so we just left the door unlocked. He called the police and DSS on me twice! Saying there were drugs in my house....which there wasn't....and there were all sorts of men coming in and out of my apartment. Again, not true, he just wanted to get back at me for rejecting him. The last straw and what got him kicked out, finally! Was I had bought a used couch that was in good condition but come to find out it wouldn't fit through my door. I left it out in the hall, not in anyone's way at all ! The trouble making neighbor called the landlord and told him the couch was "all in his way" . My landlord came and looked at it and said no it's not. So my neighbor decided to wait until I left the house and then slashed that couch to pieces!! I called the police and my landlord again and even though I couldn't prove it my landlord knew it was my neighbor and asked him to leave the property in 15 days! A year worth of drama, just because I would not sleep with a male neighbor, who was married!!

    My parents have a neighbor like this. He literally calls the cops on everyone for every little thing. He even started threatening the young children and the neighborhood to the point that one of the fathers decked him in the front yard. The dad of the threatened child said it was worth the fine. The rude neighbor has even been jumped by one of the local motorcycle gangs because of his antics. The cops have been called so many times by him he has been fined multiple times and been threatened to have his license revoked if he doesn’t quit harassing the neighborhood. He is also a local pharmacist, so he would losing his license and job there as well.
    The worst part is, I think he is abusing his wife and kids. His wife is an avid runner and was very friendly with everyone in the neighborhood. Now, she barely leaves the house except to work or run and she won’t make eye contact or talk to anyone anymore. I’m worried for her safety and many of the other neighbors are as well. This has been an ongoing saga in my parents neighborhood for about 10 years now. I love when my mom calls with updates

      Is he elderly? You say he just recently started to yell at the children, when he didn't use to do that? The reason I ask, is because I wonder if he has dementia, and it is getting into the later stages where sometimes they can become more agitated and violent (which is out of their control, btw), or if he perhaps had a stroke which affected his behavior in some way. I have been an RN since 1998, dementia care specialist, and I have seen both many times.

    • @jenx5870
      @jenx5870 Год назад

      Just wanted to add on to my original post, and too lazy to edit. People don't always realize that pharmacists have as much training as doctors. They are intelligent, and their jobs are ingrained in their mind. People with dementia can often mask their symptoms until quite late into the disease progression, because they don't want to admit something is wrong. If he is progressing, and he is dealing with people's medication, they will notice, and he should be retired soon. His wife would most likely already be aware, so a conversation with her would be helpful. If it's dementia or a stroke related behavior issue, spouses can feel alone. She would be in the position of getting the brunt of the behavior, but not wanting to put him in a nursing home. There are medications to help with behaviors, and resources for caregivers. If he is just an ahole, she would need support to get out. My guess is the former, because if she used to jog, then something has progressed to make his behavior worse.

Did not leave a lot of time for lawn maintenance but I was sure to cut it once a week on Saturdays. One of my neighbors was not satisfied with this. He was convinced the grass could only be a certain length and told me as much one morning as I was standing in my driveway about to get in my car and go to work. He assured me that if the grass was too long, "SOMEONE" would call the bylaw officers to place a complaint and that homeowner would receive a fine. He was a cranky old man who lived alone. So I made him no bake, cherry cheese pie and introduced myself to him. After that, I kept cutting my grass once a week, and I never had any more complaints. Kill em' with kindness, folks.

Instead of having a dog meetup so they would get to know each other this itchb made the 4 years we lived there miserable by calling the HOA on us if anything was off in our yard. Her husband wouldn’t even look at us, he knew what his wife was doing. It’s the only time we ever lived in an HOA and I’m happy now that we have 20 acres and our closest neighbors are a 1/4 mile away but super nice.
