After Rahul Dravid's exit as India's head coach was confirmed, Gambhir emerged as the clear and favourite alternative, especially considering the work he has done in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the last 2-3 years. With Virat Kohli also giving the nod to be a part of India's ODI assignment against Sri Lanka, it would be the first time that he would be working with Gambhir in the same team. Second, Gambhir is not even the coach at this stage. Finally, Gambhir did give a reason regarding Hardiks fitness level which is a fact. so please faltu ki bakwaas na kare.

And it was very wrong at that time when Selectors removed GG as VC instead of removing Dhoni as Captain. Because he was leading and lost 2-3 series whitewash. To make Virat Kohli as VC was not bad as they might saw him as a good leader for future at that time. But they could do so making GG captain at that time for few years and Kohli as VC at that time...

The Fact - *After 4-0 team needed an overhaul. Gautam Gambhir certainly did not deserve to be in the side. That is the reason he was deprived of vice captaincy.
