From personal experience the G8 compound from proline takes bout a month to break in! They’re usually good from the start and just keep getting better and better with time.5 hrs of trailing my swampers still have that rubber hanging off em from the mold!
I would love to see you do a review on the RC4WD Goodyear MTR, with the right foams, or your own Canyon Custom medium or softs, those tires do things that all of my G8 and Predator compound tires dream about…..
Great video Mr C! You could make a video to see if more vent holes makes the tire perform better. I vent all my 4.75 at 12 and 6 o'clock seams to work good but I haven't vented them more than 2 holes.
Of the military style tires available, Grunts are probably the best. Rc4wd has a military tire the same size. The compound on that tire is advertised as "molded rubber".
Too much of a perfect storm. Not every compound works in every tread-- I mean, few people remember the JConcepts Scorpio even exists. But monoblocs G8? Just bad.
Speaking as someone who spent 6 years in the army, military grade is definitely not a compliment. Some of the tires they use are ugly as well as useless
Looks like these are a miss for most applications, which is too bad. Insert the obligatory "you need to run these inside out and backwards with only the inner ring of a dual-stage insert" comment here >
The grunt and rc4wd mud plugger are patterned after the Michelin XL military tire.
You gave them a very fair shot.

well sir, now I wanna see some swiss cheese tires. Can we see a weekly dumb with some hole punched tires say every half inch😂
I was coming to the comments to say the same thing. I definitely want to see
Agreed let’s go Mr C
I think those are called "speed holes".
This would be a good spec tire to make it a contest of driving abilities and prevent a $vs$ situation.

I had hope for these tires.🙄 They might be a good trail tire...you know, a tire to mark the trail.😀

So, is this the first ProLine tire where you wouldn't just say "well yeah of course it does, it's G8"? Thanks for the review!

Great vid, the body is very scale sorry u broke it but can't wait for the pickup version 😅 thanks for sharing
canyon super soft should do it good
I really don’t think G8 compares to green or even Injoras s5, they need to step it up
BTW these tire are very bad in the mud. They just load up and don’t clear out. Just like Mr. C said.
Even when you give it brushless wheel speed?
@@PonkyKongyep still slicks.
This is now the worst Proline tire, 0.1 below the Trepador
94.0 is 24th place, out of the 66 tires on the list
Yo

Break-in time is the hands-down #1 G8 defense. I've yet to meet a tire that
morning gents😊
That sounded like pseudoscience.. take an overly stiff carcass and leather punch till it looks like a sieve! 😂
"This tire has no choice but to be more compliant if there's less of it."
