My favorite version of this song, I'm really glad to see you react to it. Sara would mostly fall into the pop category, but with this album and this song with the Milk Carton Kids definitely crossed more into folk. Your analysis of the lyric is great, it's just an honest song about honest feelings. Of course Sara's vocal in this live performance is what really made it beautiful.
