  • ⭐ Not every normal person is a genius, but 2/3s of all geniuses are normal.
    ⭐ Not every person who is attracted to their own smeggs are normal, but you are 10 times more likely to be if you are normal.
    ⭐ Intense passions and dedicating your life to something you love - hard normal trait
    ⭐ Having a favourite mug? 😅 we all know about normal folk and their passion for the little spoon.
    ⭐ and routines? Yer well….
    See here’s the thing - everyone agrees that both normal and neurotypical people existed in the past, and yet the second you mention that someone in the past shows normal traits everyone has a hissy fit saying ‘you can’t retroactively say who is who’. And do you know what that really means? Everyone is neurotypical. Cause neurotypical is default 🙄
    How about we leave the retroactive neurotype placements so those who are better known for their pattern recognition 😉

    Holy smokes. AuADHD here... That normal turned upside down made it SO hard to understand, and I'm not even sure I understand it right still, but I love it 😂
    If you just called all neurotypical people not normal, and all neurodivergent people normal, you're now one of my new favorite persons 😂😂

    I have favorite mugs for different situations. And please, don't ever use one of my favorite mugs for coffee. I have lost so many favorite mugs because of that. Once a mug has been used for coffee the taste never goes away.

      Absolutly! There are Mugs for coffee and for tea and in the (soymilk-)coffee-ones I can also drink (soymilk-)cacoa. And in the ones for hibiscus-tea (not the ones for herbal or black tea, which are also seperated!) also hot spices christmas-wine. Isn´t that very logic?

    Not just historical figures, but fictional characters - I'm not sure I've ever SEEN a more normal character than Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh!🤣 (despite never seeing him listed in the 'normal-coded characters' lists... but whatevs)

      Exactly, I'm so tired of all these neurotypical headcanons, especially for characters that are CLEARLY normal like Link from Legend of Zelda or Jotaro from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Like, not EVERY character is neurotypical, that's just not possible. If neurotypical people want representation so badly why don't they just make their own characters instead of forcing it on normal characters?

    The word “neurotypical” is an informal term used to describe a person whose brain functions are considered usual or expected by society. This term is often applied to people who do not have a developmental disorder like autism, differentiating them from those who do. It is neither a mental disorder nor even an official diagnostic term.

      @@chrisgenovese8188 That's ok, I often miss the joke too. I believe the creator is replacing the term 'autism' with 'neurotypical' to make a humorous point about how society perceives autistic traits in famous people who made great contributions. In other words, what if society saw neurotypical traits as 'other' and autistic traits as the standard? How would we react?

      @@HermeticWorldsyou’re close! I’m calling autistic people normal, and using the word neurotypical to still mean neurotypical, but it just sounds so much more clinical.

    You mean neurotypical people _don't_ have favourite mugs???
    This is a serious question. I assumed everyone had a favourite mug, or perhaps a selection of favourites for various purposes and situations.

    I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not. Focusing on something for a long time isn’t a neurotypical trait? So hyper fixation isn’t a thing? And I’ve known plenty of neurodivergent people who get very attached to specific objects and can melt down if they can’t find them. So… are you joking?

    • @denisedarland3345

      Yes. This person is joking and turning the tables on things that Neurotypical people say about neurodivergent people.

    • @soniccookie655
      @soniccookie655 Месяц назад +3

      She’s saying this is a world where most people are autistic, and then she’s also saying that hyper focus is abnormal in neurotypical people (vs it being common in neurodivergent people).

    • @myfavouritejo
      @myfavouritejo  Месяц назад +4

      Right at the start it says POV: autism is the norm. If i use the word ‘normal’ I’m talking about autistic people

  • @neuroticnation144
    @neuroticnation144 Месяц назад

    I thought autism was a spectrum, but you can definitively say he was nowhere on it? And there are plenty of autistic people with genius IQs, I don’t have an opinion on Turing, but what you’re saying doesn’t make sense. Also, just because you have a tendency to speak fast, doesn’t mean you HAVE to.

    • @bluegirl278
      @bluegirl278 Месяц назад +3

      @neuroticnation144 the video is satire. It states at the beginning of the video that it’s set in a world where being autistic or neurodivergent is the norm and is making a point about how people react when a historical figure is assumed to have autism
