My favorite grunge album of all time. This is one of those albums where there's not a skippable track, you can listen to it all the way through and not feel bored.
It's not even a grunge album though. It's Nirvana's least grungiest album. Listen to Bleach and In Utero, they're better. When I listen I have to skip Teen Spirit and Come As You Are. Awfully boring songs.
Flying To Learn Aren’t you original.
Flying To Learn I like both, and I wouldn't call them "boring", but Teen Spirit is overplayed on the radio to the point where it's permanently shitty to my ears in a way that's hard to explain. I do enjoy Bleach just as much as Nevermind, but In Utero is kinda the bottom of the barrel for me (as good as it is).

Jon you should review In Utero. It's my favorite Nirvana album by far and it's a lot noisier, more artistic, and less commercially appealing so I'd love to hear your opinion about it.
I was a teenager when this album exploded and it was a great time in music. I am not surprised at all that this album continues to stay relevant, as well as Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgargen etc.

Nirvana is my most favorite band of all time. I grew up listening to them. Nevermind is my most favorite album of all time as well. Even though I know it is their most popular song, Smells Like Teen Spirit is my most favorite song off the album. If there was not try to sing along to the album, that would be incredibly hard. It's such a great catchy and fun album. It's too bad for Kurt to go, I've always wonder what if he was still alive and how far Nirvana would of gone. Anyways, great review, Jon. RIP Kurt Cobain.

"It's better to burn out than to fade away" is actually a Neil Young lyric and it actually upset Neil when he found out about it. He talked about wishing he could have been around Kurt and wished he could have helped him. Even in his last words Kurt made sure to show his passion for music. Kurt is an idol of mine as cliche as that sounds. Such a good hearted dude gone too soon. R.I.P Kurt. Btw you should definitely review their Unplugged record. Lots of raw emotion in that cause that was a few months before his death.

The R.E.M album Automatic for the People actually came out the day I was born. Great album.
Anyway, I love Nevermind. Every song...except for Endless, Nameless, if that counts. I never listen to that. My favorite video is In Bloom. And On a Plain just perfectly captures that feeling when you just feel depressed/empty/drained. And Drain You always gets in my head. Yeah, every song lol I'm not gonna review the whole thing in this comment though. I've gushed enough.

I bought nevermind when I was 12 but I only listened to like 2 songs on the album but then when I got to 14 the album really changed for me easily one of my favourite albums of all time

Lounge Act is by far my favorite Nirvana song. Fav album changes with different points in my life.
Cobain's suicide note was not "recently revealed". It was available to the public almost immediately after he died in 1994.

On A Plain was the last song recorded on Nervermind - Kurt wrote the lyrics to it moments before he sang them. 'One more special message to go, then I'm done, and I can go home'.
I wish I could enjoy this album as much as everyone else seems to but...I don’t know...as a whole it really doesn’t do much for me at all...I enjoy maybe 3-4 songs off of this at the most. I keep coming back to it here and there so I could possibly change my thoughts on it someday. In Utero, however, is a fantastic record, and I enjoyed that one almost instantly. I fucking love the song Milk It. I feel like that album is how Nirvana is supposed to sound, dirty and raw. Nevermind is too polished sounding, and supposedly even Kurt wasn’t thrilled about how clean the album sounded. Good review though, I always enjoy your content!

Nevermind is a "one of a kind" album. Each track has its own personality and feel, and all of them have great melodies. Some great riffs all throughout (Lithium, Come as you are, Drain You), brilliant melodies, and really insightful lyrics
