I was born in 2007, I got to experience how it was in the 2000’s. I saw this video when I was 4 and thought it was so cool. Can’t believe they got rid of the robots

i saw them, im interested but thats alot of money, plus you have to get them refurbished which is even more money. Sucks been poor and see your dream in front of you

this certain store in mentor ohio closed in 1990, it became one of the few marcs funtime pizza locations, it closed in 1995 and was renovated a year later, its michaels today
cec reopened in mentor in 1998 where it is today

I was born in 1988 so I missed seeing those animatronics, when the place used to be called “Pizza Time Theater,” and the Rockafire Explosion Band. 😭😭😭
I did get to see Munch’s Make Believe Band though and that band in the 90s was awesome! I miss those days of watching the band while I ate pizza.
Chuck E Cheese used to be great back then and I remember the prizes being great too. Todays Chuck E Cheese sucks and the band is being removed from all locations & going to be replaced with a light up dance floor.

Chuck E. Cheese's used to rule when I was a kid. The first one opened up in my neighborhood back in 1982. Chuck E. Cheese's was already a shithole in 1987. They tore down the inside walls, got rid of almost all the video games and replaced them with kiddie rides that would have appealed to toddlers at most. I've never been there since.
the kids in that video are now pushing 50

Omg I remember going when it was like this. It was all dark inside and so much fun. The lighting now is horrific! I guess with all the safety issues and BS they had to change it.

as a fnaf fan and cec fan at the same time, I can prove I didn’t say this.
I remember Dolly Dimples, but at the time I didn't remember her name...I was 5 then, lol. I do remember King becoming King Cat, a Michael Jackson-lookalike. The CEC that used to be in my area had two floors; the main floor had CEC and the gang, and the upper floor were Dolly and King Cat

Usually whenever a show starts all the lights turn off in the showroom and theres tons of lights focusing on the characters therefore giving them attention. If only this were still here today...

My dad used to go to a place like this, it was called Showbiz and it was exactly like this. He told me they would dim the lights and they actually had a bear perform on stage with his other pals. They don’t make entertainment like this no more.
Don’t know if you knew this but pizza time theater and showbiz actually merged in the 90s to create Chuck E. Cheese’s

@@NoodleNuggzactually it was in 1986 (when PTT and SPP merged into Showbiz Pizza Time), but Showbiz didn't go defunct until 1993.
from 1980. Also, this is when Chuck E. Cheese started to rebrand and was given a new logo. This is also when they were starting to put the balcony stage in more locations and slowly removing the portrait stages.
Wow! Pizza time theatre is awesome! Wish we still had the balcony or portrait stages today. Even better-make them have their own room during 2.0.
Back in 2001 I got stuck behind the curtains after a pizza time theatre show, pretty creepy.

it has changed since then and not for the better. did you see how the kids behaved? they are not like that now. did you notice that helen was not in that group? i heard that there were many players at chuck e cheese before they called it chuck e cheese. i don't know their names but i do know they are not around anymore. i heard there is a anamatronic museum maybe thay are there.

The animatronics (aka, cyberamics as they called them back then) at PTT look less creepy and more professional looking than today.
